If you're talking about Twitch, playing music on your stream wont affect your stream, but it my affect your twitch archive video, because they have a program to mute your audio in portions of your video if it has flagged music. You get around this by recording your stream yourself and storing your own archive on your HD.
However, music from games are pretty much never flagged on Twitch. The only game music i'd be half-way worried about getting flagged is Nintendo music...and Yakuza, because SEGA is touchy about Yakuza for whatever reason
As far as Youtube goes, for flagged music (if it's actually flagged), they may either 1) block your monetiztion for that video (which i don't care about personally), 2) completely block your video (that's less common, because companies have to make a formal complaint, but SEGA still does it for bigger games like Yakuza).
