As punisher it s just +12 so only pk guaranted or 46p+kp that s true but it s still far from os van s dmg with 6p+k wich is a 14fr move. Even kage lack this kind of move...
True, my point is still that you have to take the +4 advantage at the end of lion and kage's into the eqaution, you dont get as much damage, but potentaily another combo. Id give up 20 dmg for an adv. Yomi read.
I'm trying 3p+k after evade some slow moves and continue with 66 outside the buffer kp+k combo. I think this is easier than prepare 66 while guarding and press k and start the combo, its only a beginner opinion my inputs are bad i never use this setups in "real" online fights.

Jami @+4 u got nothing guaranted and yomi could also mean get yomied. With vanessa s 6p+k vs lion i get around 75dmg which is pretty decent imo... It s like throwing at +13 u can get more dmg but it s not guarated so pk stay the best option
@Jason 4p+k is a move u can use as combo ender in combos with 2 lil bounds or use it near to the wall or also to ro ur opponent. It s also a +2 frame trap on guard which guarantee u 6p or 6p+k as follow up. And launcher vs taka
Yeah your gonna find you will be pushing the offensive alot because Lion doesnt really do a lot of damage. But he is very mixup heavy. And his sideturned game is one of the biggest keys to his offense and is very strong. Anything you need to know about his sideturned game let me know. It good to have another fellow Lion player!
Oh and to answer your question above after the gb from 6 p+k+g, you can get 44 k p+k launcher into combo. If you gb near a wall 9 k is guarenteed for wall splat combo.
Its a little hard getting 44 k after gb (you have to kinda buffer it). But thats your most damaging and rewarding follow up. I had to practice getting it down consistantly.
yes, good setups .the problem is when use 4p+k+g in oki after a guarded full charge 4p+k after 41236p maybe after the opponent hit the wall and versus the cpu or a very very fast struggler after a back dash stagger
+4 is a very strong position with Lion. He has a safe mid CH launcher and a strong throw game. If you're opponent fuzzies consistently then 6P+K+G creates another strong mixup.
Thats a good oki tool to use after a full charged r p+k Ares. But what I find that is a more consistent option to use is 61 p+g. It has huge range as a catch throw, leads to a dangerous mixup opportunity and can grab the opponent right when they recover out of the stagger full charged 4 p+k induces.
Discover new combos is the way i most enjoy the game so i ll try and see the potential of this character. I know he s strong but he lacks in dmg combos so it costs nothing to try to find new combos
