Good Games Thread

Yeah man gg's to you to your lei was tricky as hell. Jeffrey Mcwild was standing in the corner of my room sobbing and I had to comfort him somehow but I couldn't think of anything to say because we really did get owned mostly throughout.

 

In the Sarah matchup, use it as much as you want, because it forces the Sarah player to make choice between giving up the advantage in some form(like backdashing, guarding, evading), or be put into punishable on guard -14(1K low kick) or -15(33K dragon) to take that move out. So it opens the punishment window for Akira. Whereas Akira doesn't have to put himself into that position.

I don't think Akira's shoulder is as bad as Goh's, but these moves I put on the list of moves that alot of other characters have that I have to seriously consider too. i.e. Shun mule kick, Eileen's shoulder, Goh's moves, Aoi YY, Lion sabaki, uppercut, and 2K, etc.

The good news is that, some of these moves the jackknife can still be successful on, I think Shun's mulek kick and Lion's uppercut the jackknife works on on my adv.

Anyway it was alot of fun, and I have my ways around it, but it's at a big price is all. Put mad chips on the table yo.

I figured. Because alot of other moves that do the same thing works at their -5 too.

Basically what this means to me is that most of the cast with moves like this, can 2P(and have it guarded) whenever they want to, leaving me without being able to make the moral response. Especially when alot of the commands for these moves are while risers. UKDiddy you should probably try guarded 2P into that shoulder and see what happens.

EDIT: I think if I choose to evade on my +, I can get a serpent on all of these moves if I'm fast enough. Thing is, it's hard to even wrap my brain around evading on advantage against some characters that aren't named Goh lol.

Godeater- You have a well rounded pai overall that does everything from TE, fuzzy, buffering and so on. Great matches overall.

attack291- you have one of the most aggressive pais I have ever played against in a long time and never let me breathe for even a second. I need to see more pais like you more often.

Yummy Dango- Awesome Akira and I couldn't depend on my guard at all as much as you were breaking them. Every match was close and went back and forth regardless.

TheUggs Brad: We both in Canada so the connection was as smooth as butter and we had some back and forth action. I have trouble against fast-paced characters so I was losing a lot of the time, keep up the good work.

tonyfamilia's Brad: Damn when I got into this match up I knew it was going to be hard and you better believe it was. His brad was performing really tricky setups on me and I didn't know how to react to some of them, he's the real deal.

QueenofCarnage2: We played a lot of ranked matches together first one I took your 7th dan then we were fighting for who gets to rank off of 6th dan. I got to face your Akira first, which didn't seem to be that good in the beginning until you hulked up and intentsified. Also your wolf has some great setups that I've not encountered before which was cool, and your Vanessa seems to be one of your stronger characters judging from the performance, fun playing with you!

Also I forgot about someone two days ago, gg's to HappyFriend76's Lau that destroyed me for a big helping of rape. I felt helpless in this match and only ringouts were an option at most, best lau I ever played hand's down and I've fought tough ones like Darth Minion /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

 

great games to LA Akira that pai of yours is nasty and I was shocked my scrubby lion made her work as hard as she did. I don't play lion very much but I played way better than I expected after a long period of getting my pai better. I can actually say lion will be a solid second and has a chance to actually be as good as my pai is some day.

Your pai is great though and play in a unique way that makes her stand out I would like to see you in some Pai mirror matches next time though.

 

GG to Master Lee, though I don't know if he frequents the forums or not. Thanks for giving me a chance to break in my new stick for VF. I can actually struggle out of Akira's staggering throw now in time to block moves !

Had a lot of good games this morning against DaBadSeed. I just picked up VF5 after being out of the loop for a long time. Trying to get a handle on El Blaze, but he is a bit awkward and XLive is not forgiving with timings. ^^

Not underpowered-- just vulnerable to high damage combos, like all the girls. no big deal IMO.

lol. Good TE's. Alot of times when i play someone and they TE i intentionally throw in throw situations. Why? Because TE is fun, and if u are working it i want to give you a chance to use it. : ) It is frustrating to TE all night and ur opponent pk everytime.

In the meantime, i can convince my family and friends to get phone, cable, and restaurant gift cards thru me and get paid a residual...ummm...okay. I think i'll pass sweetie. My sentiments exactly... I live to reverse side throws and intentionally set them up so I can escape them.

 

I'd suggest you tell your girlfriend to not get involved with pyramid schemes.

The services they offer usually do not compare with major providers thus making it harder to sell. People at the bottom will never get back their investment.

I had an ex of mine do that to me and I was like "honey, this is a pyramid scheme and those things don't really pay off unless you get in it really early and manage to enlist an army of people to work under you" she said "oh no, it's real and you'll see, I'll make money" I said "alright, prove me wrong". The whole thing never panned out and she made sure to never bring it up again. Lucky for her saying "I told you so" isn't my style, lol.

I really like your fight style. That pressure from low to mid to throw is just too good. Specially when you're using Sarah vs Brad (bad matchup for Sarah) and specially using a character other than Shun or Lei where you actually have to put in a lot more work. Great stuff bro!

GGs Subbers, been a while. Those matches were epic! Getting around that YingYang and those reversals and that one move that you do that seems to have AMAZING priority is not easy. I don't know what move it is yet but it's like a karate chop to the neck or something. Even when you use to kick my ass back in the days, I always have a blast playing you. Wicked Aoi!

GGs UKDiddy, awesome matches... right up until my G button sunk in again /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif You leveled up but I leveled up too /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif ... well, at least offensively, lol. It's still hard to break the old habits when I fight your Kage and embrace and implement some of the new things that I practice in dojo. I'm applying new offensive tactics but it seemed that I was able to apply some of my new defensive tactics like ETEG versus you Akira but not versus your Kage. I'll go into dojo and work on that for next time.
