How could he have skip turns if the game knows who last played? no matter how late you ready up.

 

It is possible if the game disconnects while fightning. The top 2 guys stay at the top to have another go.

Anyway, I had some problems with my ISP for few days. It wasnt very pleasant to fight someone with the disconnect message on my end lurking about. All is good now, I hope it will stay this way.

 

Not to pick sides here, but I'm gonna believe that DontForkWitMe didn't intentionally pull. I don't know the guy personally, but we used to go at it in DOA4 and this dude never pulled once. Not against me or anyone who played win or lose. To call him a puller just doesn't fit what I know about him.

I've played a lot of people online with full bars and next to no bars and have experienced some random disconnects myself. All I can say is it happens man, so don't assume everyone is cable pulling. This is why the smiley face icon changes color and last I saw in him online which was like 2-3 days ago he still has a green smiley face.

 

i only played him twice i think and he didn't pull at all. no lag even. so i'm inclined to believe him

Same thing here I even replied back saying he left himself open for all kinds of free punishments with that Taka of his to counter what he said. I might have done something but it was because he opened the door for it from the start so he only can only blame himself for it.

In last 7 days, I had several games vcs him. Every single time he looses, he "randomly" disconnects at the very end of the match.

Interesting thing is, it does not happend after his 3 wins.

Had some guy rage quit/disconnect on me today in player match, after I won 1 round against his Taka, not even an entire fight. He then preceded to send me multiple message of how high tiered Sarah is and how low tiered Taka is, Then continued to say the FGC nowadays only uses Uber Tiered characters and has been ruined..

He shoulda just sent me one message saying he's a rage quitting n00b, that doesn't understand how the 3 buttons work

Feels extra-salty that I was demoted to Raider this morning...after 4 back-to-back matches against this one guy. He had promotion on win, I got demotion on losing. 2 times in 4 fights.

i've fallen for his scrubby tactics before, and with me in the slump i'm in, i'd rather not chance it. it's upsetting to no end that BlackBeltSpartan of all players has gotten in my head in the past. that's gotta change.

Not just that you play a bad Lau, you also wrote me a whole essay in hatemails. Ive hardly ever seen a combination of such an inflated ego and ignorance.

 

You can plug in a headset USB or blue tooth and go under system settings and turn the volume level down to 1 or off. This will remove the voice chat from coming out of your TV speakers. There is also and option in the parental controls menu to disable voice chat for an account I believe.

 

Because he never takes a lose. If he wins, he gets the points, if he loses he disconnects before the points are deducted from him, so he never loses points from that little bar down there.

Which is sad, because he's a terrible terrible player...

 

Ugggh I don't have a headset for PS3, but I may have to get one just to try this. I tried the parental control thing, but it only seems to give you the option for sub accounts. I only have one master account on my PS3. Anyway thanks for the tip.

 

Ah, well you can just get any cheap USB headset for like $10 then. Sucks there is no easy option for this, but i'm glad you get some games in on PSN, really good players = win

 

No, that won't help. He'll always find people at hunter rank that are willing to play him. And thats all he needs to cheat his way up the ladder.

The real solution would be asking Sega to remove people with bad disconnect ratings from the ranked boards completely. If you have a red face next to your name, you're either cheating or your internet is so bad that you're ruining ranked for those who are genuinely working for it. Either way, you should be taken out of the running. I've already sent an email to Sega's support team about this and I suggest others do as well. If enough people complain about it, they may listen.
