Still not sure how I feel about the hit tracking. On one hand, it feels too strong. On the other, evading would be far too strong without it Feb 3, 2025

Shame lots of the people in the Twitch chats for FGs can't make it out to tournaments. That seems to be where lots of legendary players are.

Kinda strange, but.. All this SFV footage and hype that's been all over youtube and twitch this past week, really makes me want to play VF.

You know what we did on launch day for SFV down here in Sydney? We had an offline VF gathering with 5 people, and it was fucking awesome.

The art of rapping about anything presented in front of you is raw talent.
Today's rapping/tinging(talk while attempting to sing) is just smh. I guess that's why the majority audience still eats white castles.

That excuse annoys me when people do shady shit in fighting games. I'm sure they ARE cool outside of the game, but I'm knowing them THROUGH the game, ya feel? So it's like, my impressions of a person are how they are as a player (excuses, ragequits, overall bad sportsmanship).

And I don't care HOW nice of a person someone is, or how much they contribute. I'll compliment them for that, but if they aren't good at a game, I'm gonna tell it like it is. I hate having to sugarcoat skill just because of personality...it's about the game, not about life.

That community cares a lot more about it's game, it's players and it's competitive offline scene, than this community does about FS.

All that is kinda beside the point. But, I believe our community (or most of it) cares about our game just as much. If not more, considering the difference in player #'s. You gotta have a lot of love for it to stick around a FG with a community as small as this one. In my opinion.

With offline play, I can't speak for all, but I'm pretty sure, about everyone wants to play VF offline instead of online. Our community is just so small and spread so thin it makes it extremely difficult. So much so it's seen as being lucky to have a group or even two other people in your (in general) area to play offline with.

How is there no good samurai games? Ninja Gaiden 3: RE is the only game where cutting someone with a sword feels awesome/satisfying.

So I got Last Blade 2 to work/run with the Kawaks emulator. But sadly, it won't recognize my arcade stick (MadCatz SF4TE). It works in Hyper DBZ, but not in this emulator. It recognizes my Xbox 360 controller (except the triggers) at least... Was so close.

..old arcade friends. Learned lots from them that I never thought would stick to this day. Had lots of ups n downs when dealing with people online, being new to the internet and all, too. Going from interacting with people in arcades to online forums 14 yrs later is quite the drastic change in people's choice of words. VF is great though. Don't think I'd be playing FG'S again if it wasn't for VF.

Special sparring is actually pretty decent on hardest difficulty. Or, for that infinite grind versus a specific character, I like setting CPU at level 5, health type B, with all CPU details at "random".

True true. I just liked the quest mode system in how you could fight different ranked cpu players from different arcades, and that they had bosses (so to speak, hahah). It just seemed to have more variety than special sparring and was great for learning new characters since you could always pick the rank and character of your opponent. SS is good too, no doubt. I just liked the variety of QM.
