Hex Editing Jap saves to Pal Saves

    Hex Editing Jap saves to Pal Saves

    I've been using a tool called n-port which allow to dump saves. Following that my bro didn't want to start again on evo for Pal so i've hex edited the save file to work for Pal. It seems to work flawlessly and even save the original wallpaper 2 /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    So hex editing the saves does infact work for evo

    What hex editor did you use, perhaps someone could construct a quick FAQ for those (like me) who are not experienced with Hex editors?

    The only time I ever used one was for Diablo II, and that was years ago, so any help is deeply appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Could you also upload/post the hex file you altered, so we can base our edits off of your changed?

    There's a post by Darknight which describes the procedure in the sticky thread on using the EMS adapter, in this board.

    As for hex editors, any one will do, and there are free ones for download available as well.
