Steam ID In Profile?

Can we get the option to put our Steam ID on our profiles please?

Possibly remove users Xbox tags too since FS Ver A is outdated?

Is there a way to specific steamID vs custom name url?

I have https://steamcommunity.com/id/NecromancyBlack/ as my own account, and I've used this in the past to help advise people on my correct profile as someone (for some reason, I assume a scam) had taken my name and profile pic and was adding people from my friends list to try and spam scam links.

So I'd prefer to be able to link to https://steamcommunity.com/id/NecromancyBlack/ as it's clearly me rather then the steamID.

I'm not sure it was necessary to do it this way. I just wanted people who run into me in Revo ranked to know its me (since the names don't match). Ie. have my steam name under my avatar here in the forums would propagate that information. If it just says "steamID" it doesn't truly achieve that purpose, people would have to click it to check, and you wouldn't go clicking everybodys links. I don't truly care about the profile link since I'm not going to be accepting friend invites from people I don't know anyway.

I would have actually preferred this steam slot to be just text that I could edit myself.

 

I'd agree with Manji here. I'm not looking to find peoples steam profiles or nor will I click through links.
Just seeing the who's who from people who do list it seems more practical.

That said, can the 2 be combined? You can list a name and if you also list a profile clicking on the name takes you to the profile same as the current SteamID link?

 

Agreed for the same reasons as Manji and Lammas, I'd just like for my Steam name to be there instead of a link.
