The World Fighting Tournament What Do We Know?

The World Fighting Tournament is the tournament that is mentioned in the Virtua Fighter lore. In the prologue of the Virtua Fighter game guide that comes with Virtua Fighter 4 . We get an outline of what the tournament is about:

The World Fighting Tournament : a world wide competition for fighters who believe in the superiority of their own fighting skills and techniques.

The champion of the first tournament was Lau Chan who retrieved the legendary art Ko en ken at the end of the second tournament.

J6(Judgment 6) An organization composed of global mega-industries that have great influence on everything from weapons development to world politics. Ultimately J6 strives for unrivaled control of the world's fate. The true purpose of J6 holding the World Fighting Tournament is to test the Dural (artificial / programmable human beings) and new materials.

So What Do We Know about the World Fighting Tournament?

• There are no weight divisions large Sumos can fight smaller fighters.
• Male and Female can compete against each other (J6 is woke? )
• The World Fighting Tournament is hand-to-hand combat no weapons allowed (this is in contrast to the King of Iron Fist tournament which allows rail guns, pistols, swords, bombs, baseball bats etc)
• Fighting styles and associated techniques are integral to the competition
• The World Fighting Tournament is a front for otherwise dubious and insidious activities
• Vanessa was kidnapped by J6 for the Dural program but she escaped
• Sarah Bryant was targeted by J6 for the Dural program
• The World Fighting Tournament does not permit animals to compete ( this is in contrast to the King of Iron Fist Tournament which allows, bears, pandas, kangaroos, dinosaurs, tigers, and more recently pit-bulls)
• The World Fighting Tournament does permit Artificially Programmable human beings to compete
• There have been 5 World fighting Tournaments so far.
• There is a gold, silver and bronze trophy awarded to 1rst, 2nd, and 3rd place (i.e. there are 3 champions)
• The 5 World Fighting Tournaments have only hosted fighters with well established martial arts. At present no gang bangers, brawlers, or street fighters have competed in the World Fighting Tournament
• The J6 organization believes that only legitimate martial artists are suitable material to become Dural

• What specific skills is J6 testing during the World fighting Tournaments?
• Did J6 ever capture Sarah?
• Who won the 5th World Fighting Tournament?
• What does J6 mean by other materials?
• Where is Dural's combat moves documented?

Sega and Rgg can't just leave us hanging. The next version of Virtua Fighter could possibly answer these and other outstanding questions
