Who Has The Best Story Of All The Characters In Virtua Fighter?

Hey everyone. Which character do you think has the best story in Virtua Fighter. If you reply to this, please list the character you think has the best story and then tell me why you think that character is the best in that regard. If there is an interconnected story between some characters, such as the story of Jacky and Sarah Bryant together, you can list both characters. I personally think that Jacky and Sarah have the best story out of all of them because the character depth of both characters is just so amazing.

I don't exactly know what to say to this.

 

For me it's either Kage Maru's revenge quest to stop J6 because they murdered his clan & kidnapped his mother in order to make the first Dural or Wolf's journey to find meaning in his life after assuming he has reached his peak in strength and discovering some of that meaning has to do with his hellish nightmares of J6 destroying the world. Honorable mentions are Shun Di wanting to save his student from being brainwashed by J6 and Lau & Pai's relationship growing overtime as both come to understand more about each other.

Kage-Maru and the Bryant Siblings if you ask me (along with Lau and Pai as close joint seconds)

 

Shun Di's story, of him trying to rescue his student, who after 17 years, we still haven't seen yet. Sega sure knows, how to unintensionally build up hype.

 

Lau imho. Koen ken is ancient martial art that was forbidden eons ago and someone made it their sole purpose to preserve the art by hiding its philosophies in a scroll disguised as poetry, ironically a hobby of Lau's. The guy is on a mission. He's so driven that he distanced himself from his family so he could master the art but now he has to deal with his inoperable illness, an organization targeting him for assassination, his daughter's bitterness, and a pupil that's worthy to preserve the art of Koen ken.

 

Its not just any organization. The emperor put together a secret clan, to exterminate Koen Ken. Even after the last emperor died, the clan's membership and mandate has been passed down and maintained. Lei Fei is part of that order. So Lei Fei is supposed to bring Lau and any of his students to their demise. The rumor is that Lei Fei's order is the order of the Dragon., but that is not known for sure. Although the VF4 game manual refers to a group of experts charged with distinguishing Koen Ken, the manual does not name the group of experts, it only says Lei Fei is a young monk within the order and that he is charged with eliminating Koen-Ken and who ever practices it.

So the real mystery here is why is Koen Ken still forbidden, even after China no longer has an emperor? Who does the order of the dragon report to? And why does Lei Fei really want that martial art style for himself

So VF has a few assassins in the ranks. Goh and Brad are paid assassins hired by J6. And Lei Fei is a sworn assassin with a mission that can be traced back to the last emperor of China

 

Definitely worth mentioning those characters.
