As announced in the Spring 2025 VF Direct, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. No concrete date has been announced, but you can now put the game in your "Wishlist" on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. REVO version on Switch 2, which the console will be released on June 5, 2025, is still listed as "Coming Soon".

On the 10th and 11th of May 2025, EVO Japan hosted the 19th VFR Beat-Tribe Cup tournament. After the conclusion of the EVO Japan 2025 events, the second VF Direct will be released in 8 different languages!

Lots of VF activity at Day 1 of EVO Japan 2025. SEGA's booth, Tetsuko's VF Party with a 3on3 Random Team Battle, and Isamu Yamagishi of VFR/Beat-Tribe fame received the Cannon Award.

We've had a few good months since VF5 Revo's release where we've seen a number of updates, some big events with lots of hype, and we're just around the corner from some more excitement and invigoration for all! Unfortunately, the VF5 REVO Combos section has yet to benefit proper from all this new interest and momentum to the point where some characters still don't have any combos entered. Last Updated: April 17, 2025: Not only is VF5 REVO a main tournament for Combo Breaker 2025, it is also the first qualifier for the Virtua Fighter Open Championship. Just announced is the prize pool for top 8 at Combo Breaker. Winner of this event qualifies for a chance to win $100,000 (Date for Grand Finale TBD).

VF Lives Tournament, a collaboration between Maximillian, SEGA, and TNS is the largest online event for Virtua Fighter with over 300 participants, over $4,000 dollars prize pool, and plenty of VF memorabilia given out to top 8.
