Summer Jam 2023 took place In the greater Philadelphia region (Cherry Hii, New Jersey) on September 1st to 3rd. Taking 1st place is VFnumbers (LE) with KDQ players Assassin (BR) and Bushido (TA) taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively. No stream was available, but matches from the tourney were recorded. Will post in thread when available online.
The EVO Community Showcase tournament for VF5US was held on August 4th. Top 3 Results: 1) Kurita (TA); 2) GentlemanThief (JN); 3) Phoxx (BL). Kurita lost to the 2022 defending champion GentlemanThief in the Winners Final, but was able to reset the tournament in the Grand Finals and defeat GentlemanThief. Hey guys, it's Jed. I'm really happy with how much the VF community has grown recently and so I figured it's a good time to write up a VFDC post about it in case anyone here doesn't already know what it is that we do. The VF discord is a general server for ALL VF GAMES.
Under the category of "nobody saw this coming / asked for this", and just when you thought NFTs had all but been exiled from the domain of professional gaming / esports, we learn that Yu Suzuki is working with blockchain company Oasys to publish a set of Virtua Fighter NFTs.
Last Updated on March 16, 2023. Season 1 of the Challenge Cup series culminates with the Pro Championship event on March 19, 2023. 7 JeSU Pro Licensed Virtua Fighter players will compete for the grand prize of 1,000,000 Yen with the Runner-up receiving a prize of 300,000 Yen.

The Virtua Expo 2022 is a collaboration between OReikhalKos and Tetsuko no Heya (Tetsuko's Room). It is a combination of online and offline events that includes same character tournaments and a 5on5 team tournament. Translated from Tetsuko no Heya's Website, "It may not be like the Shibuya Virtua Expos of the past, but I hope someday the Virtua Expo 2022 will be a step toward offline events in the future."
Update April 1, 2022 - Harada's Bar invited both VF5US Chief Producer Seiji Aoki and pro player Tokido to discuss a variety of topics. The first episode was released on March 26th and the second episode on April 2nd.
A new year so let's try again to summarize the VF tournaments/events around the world! We celebrate the new year with a massive 5-person online team tournament organized by Tetsuko's Room. January 2022 also marked the beginning of the 2nd Challenge Cup series and North America had its first major offline event at the Frosty Faustings!
