I'm assuming by "skill floor" (opposite of skill ceiling), Chop is probably referring to the amount of cheap tactics and option selects that the game has that simplifies the overall amount of choices you can make.
I know exactly the kind of people who'd come in to "weigh in" if I was the one who made that topic and I don't care to see them talk. What I mean mostly is what it takes to get the most value out of this game is near encyclopedic knowledge of tons of data points, and that's not even touching the muscle memory and need for a stick to get out of stagger moves.
Sounds like the classic "how do you eat an elephant" problem. If you're not willing to conduct some constructive discussion at the risk of hearing from those you "don't care to see", then so be it.
I’m very curious what the hang up might be? Please do tell us and we all might learn something in the process too. Better to ask and learn rather than ever know.
VF is only as complex as you want it to be. I don't know all the frame data and shit (who got time for dat) but still enjoy it immensely. Oh yeah btw I am a scrub
I know what he speaks of. The floor skill is so low that it's not even possible to understand what needs to be done to get better from that point. The game mechanics are fluid once you understand how it all connects into one big symphony but in the meantime, the worst players are truely lost.
