If thats what you meant earlier then maybe I just misunderstood what you said. If that does work then its definitely a huge time saver. When I did this with my friends we assumed there needed to be a profile on the 2nd xbox otherwise we could run into issues putting the data there. Regardless it would be nice if they made the system a bit easier then this. The fact there needs to be a discussion on the topic would be reason enough for a fix imo.
