I also thought he was being sarcastic. But sarcastic or not, I think the same way as him and went as far as pre-ordering both, the TE stick and the Collector's Edition. Except I didn't need to take a week off. Brazilian Carnaval starts on the 20th!

When/if VF5R is announced, I'll be there supporting it, but until then I'm getting my fighting fix with the one that is supporting me as a gamer.

I'm hoping it is coming out. If not, it looks like I'll be going to Japan to play it. I really can't wait to play it!

I believe VF series always come out on home version for sure!!(Well, not including FT)

No doubt that AM2 puts arcades for their priority, and they need to make a profit balance between arcades and consoles. Maybe, due to excellent connection in Japan, AM2 decide to postpone VF5R and protect their arcades for making money.

Btw, the fellowing is pretty sure that AM2 will hit on both xbox360 and ps3, that means they have to do a lot of testing about live service especially for ps3. No matter which platform they choose to develop VF5R, they need to wait until both products be done.

Now we only can guess but no one can make sure what's going on...I hope AM2 have already worked on this project but just without announcing. Let's wait for the Ver.B and to see what's gonna happen~~~

my gut says no we won't get R for home. And if we do it will be a version C/D meaning we are miles away. Just IMO, i don't have connections, just a guess.

I hope I get to use my TE SFIV stick to play R. In the meantime, I'm trying to play more ST/HDR and SFIV(when it hits comsole) to up my play and get rid of Tourney-jitters. When VF5 dropped I thought I would do good but didn't because I didn't have the experiences in tournies and playing different people and their playstyles.

I'm still pessimistic but whatever, I'm gonna enjoy what's out there in the meantime with or without VF.

i personally think they're waiting for the other fighters to hit consoles first and/or vf5r ver. b to fix the bugs in ver. a.

Because it wasn't meant to be released by march this year due to SF4 which most likely would have spelled bad sales once again for sega. The Xbox 360 version of virtua fighter 5 was released 2 weeks after assasins creed, orange box and guitar hero 3. I'm pretty sure it would have sold alot better outside japan if their timing for that wasn't so shit.
Games Sega will be releasing for the next 1-2 years have just recently started being discussed. Hang on until yakuza 3 gets its japanese release and kakutou shinseki 5 is over. Until then, keep those mails going! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Not releasing until after SF4 etc does make sense. Howver, I'm having my doubts it's coming at all. Dunno why, just have that feeling.

I could be wrong though. I didn't think VF5 was coming to the 360 (4 was PS2 only) but it did. If we do get R I hope they give us two things:

1)The ability to mix the top and bottom parts of ALL costumes for a given character (like the arcade version), and not just a handful as with the 360 patch...although that was a lot better than nothing and I was able to improve a few of my customisations 100% with it.

2)All the items that the arcade has. I know they bring out new ones all the time for the arcades, but VF5 on the consolses was missing a hell of a lot of items that were in the arcades when theose versions were being made.

The animation things you can choose before the matches start would be nice too, but if they're missing I won't be crying over it.

It would be pretty dumb of SEGA not to do a port. The Japanese arcade market is freaking tiny in the grand scheme of things... Japan's entire video-game market is ~$5 billion per year and the arcade is some fraction of that.

Europe is about ~$6.5 billion per year, but what is the USA???

Yeah, the USA is ~$25 billion dollars a year! Seems painfully clear where you would want to market your games for high sales numbers no???

WTF SEGA? Look at the facts.

I would rather wait for a Final Tuned version of the game if there is such a thing coming.

Or at make the home version of VF5R compatible with a Final Tuned Patch.

    VF5R = all new game
VF5R FT = R with more adjustments to the gameplay
