Do you still believe in VF5R for consoles?

I'm guessing you're saying this under the possession of the yoga spirits, amirite?

Nope, saying this under the possession of 'evil spirits' making me angry with the way Sega treats non-japanese folks.

Edit: Now that I look at this it wasn't even worth replying to, just ignore this post and lets re-focus back to the topic.

Apologise, I didn’t realise Am2 outsource such porting development. I was just trying to think outside the box to get a consistent flow of updates on any console systems.

As a product Virtua Fighter 5 by Sega-Sammy or better labelled Sammy has shown no desire or inclination to release updates on the 360 or PS3.

I love VF5b and am buying a new console just to play Vf5c even on an Xbox360 pad even if my usb Hori Fighting stick 3 stick fails to work.

Genuinely I feel the game has no momentum for updates outside the Japanese arcade and every time I turn on my VF5 on ps3 I pray for the update notification dialog. Alas it never happens and so I still think a platform holder owner for whoever makes VF would serve the Virtuafigher.com community better. It is by far the best and most intricate real-time version of the RoShamBo problem I have every seen in a video game, version B with it’s problems is still awesome, but knowing a C versions and a R version exist highlights these problems even more.

My friend said you can just leave the message to 片桐, but he mentioned before that console version is not his business!!!

They are delaying VF5R for consoles so they can add motion blur. Thats oh so important for fighting games . / Sarcasm off. Not to sound like a fanboy , but they really could add motion blur to the PS 3 version with the least amount of problems , even at 60fps . That thing is a post processing effects monster.

When they finally do make VF5R , I already decided Im buying both versions. The more human opponents, the better.
Dont worry, Sega is going to make tons of money off of Bayonetta this year, to fund VF5R next year. OSU!!!!

Not really he made himself look stupid by trying to play Devil's Advocate. First off after R i doubt sega would be in a rush to release 6 anytime soon. Evo had a damn near 2 years to burn before 5.

LOL!!! Just for motion blur? GTFO!!!

There was no competition? Third Strike is still in the top ten in Japan after being out for a decade and Gundam vs Gundam traded first with VF4 for many months. It's not like VF had 100% of the arcade share during VF4/EVO/FT it was always competing and the updates and new items being added to the arcade constantly were one of the reasons that it stayed alive.
This is so wrong. If VF didn't have 5R it would be even less popular. Updates, balance changes, and new items keep tons of people playing VF in addition to the people who simply play it for the deep and rewarding game play.

I linked my friend at SOJ (lead on valkyrie chronicles) to the action on facebook. Here was my message.

"I am sorry to bother you with this but I recently, a group of the hardcore virtua fighter fans from all over the world (Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Europe, The middle east, South america, USA) have posted their comments and desires as a community. As the letters to the opinion box can not be seen by other people, many have felt facebook provides more of a colaborative effort in requesting our much anticipated game.

I hope you can forward this link to someone at Sega of Japan that can convince them that there are many Virtua Fighter fans outside japan as well. Last time we met in Shibuya with Yagi san, you told me that Sega of Japan simply doesn't think there is a demand for the next virtua fighter game because that's what they are being told by Sega USA. The facebook requests started 3 days ago and even though there aren't 10,000 posts yet, we are hoping this is a start for Sega of Japan to consider those outside the country."

    Here is the response...

Thanks for the interesting info, I've placed the address below to our internal (employee-only) BBS so that they can see the hype there.

Meanwhile, yes we are pretty much aware of the constant supplies of e-mails from foreign countries requesting VF5R for consumer platform.

You might know that we've recently announced to create twin stick for 360 Live Arcade Virtual-On, and that decision is made because of the piles of requests from fans to our official website, so there always is a hope.

    Don't hesitate, keep bothering us!"

Guys, we really need to get more people involved in this. Please beg your friends to post on the facebook site so we can keep this action going. Instead of one person making 4-5 posts repeating themselves, its alot more productive to get other people to write something. If your friends say they dont have a facebook account, ask them to make one. Also, if you can get the FB link on any other game related sites to push this cause, please do!

Yeah I haven't asked any friends to post yet, so i'll definitely do that.

Also does anyone think it will be worth emailing people at the major gaming sites like kotaku etc. See if they can offer any kind of support? I know a lot of sites like these rarely have anything negative to say about VF so maybe it could be worth it.

Doesnt hurt to try. any media for this is gonna be positive for us so I'll leave it up to you guys if you have any ideas for getting people to post on the facebook page.

My old friend, Mike Watson posted a request to help up on srk
    http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?p=6856338&posted=1#post6856338
and I have also asked a few friends in the game industry if they could help out as well. If anyone can do similar stuff, i'd greatly appreciate it. No one can single-handedly get anything done but I think we might be able to get the results we want if we work as a team. Thanks in advance, guys and gals! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Alright I'm posting on the blog of the Brazilian FG community about this. I'll translate the post to English and post it here as well later for you all to see

and Feck, definitely e-mail them, at least to point them all the buzz and desperation of the VF community, they might make some news out of it which will give us visibility. =D

@Feck, everything I read regarding VF5R on Kotaku or Kikizo indicates they want this game on console as badly as we do...

If anyone has ANY influence over there, please help us get VF5R!

I posted in the videos' comments themselves. I don't think it's as efficient as FB, but worth a try.
