Man! I'm so positive about this! I can't see an official announcement from any company being "No. We're not making (game x). Thank you for your support."

 

I agree with this. This all but clinches it: we will be playing this game.

 

Haha that would be funny. Add a "P.S: We did it for the lulz" at the bottom of the press release too!

 

No matter what the game must be update friendly. No one wants to see a repeat of VF4FT or a VF5R version C coming out in arcades only and leaving us in the dust again.

Looks like Blazblue and KOFXII will be holdover games until 5R instead of new mains.

/me keeps fingers crossed.

Nevertheless I'll be writing a press statement to submit to outlets detailing how VFDC influenced Sega. Hopefully I'll get it done before Sunday as I have work in NYC for the next four straight days with 13 hour shifts.

Considering that IGN just did an article about how L4D fans are petitioning Valve our story follows along that same script. Fans petitioning a company to do something video game related. Of course we might actually succeed (big time).

 

Hopefully VFDC gets the props

Wow...an announcement soon and the twitter actually responded with "VF5R", sounds promising.

I don't know if this is new or not, but the blog on the actual SEGA website has a picture of Eileen...had me going WTF. Check it out link: SEGA USA Blog

Check upper left hand corner, what do you guys think? Been there before or something new? I don't see any other VF stuff on their website.

 

I like how all of the unofficial "announcements" have odd problems.

The one posted on facebook looks like a "go away" message & unofficially promises something will get officially announced eventually.

The twitter response is funnier. "Yes with any luck, most likely tomorrow now." So we get the qualifiers "with any luck" & "most likely" which are bad enough but would someone fucking tell me when exactly is "tomorrow now".

Surely employing the "most likely tomorrow now" option requires a new verb tense. Subjuctive future present perfect?

Right now I'm feeling like when this is all over I will have been excited about the announcement we might get.

Is that tomorrow like tomorrow or do they really mean tomorrow I mean tomorrow like in the poetic sense of tomorrow, or tomorrow as in after Midnight today and "most likely" is
a lot closer to "probably so" than it is to "certainly not" But all thingz being equal the announcement could be a negative announcement rather than a positive announcement, but if it was negative why not just announce today instead of "most likely tomorrow now"

Don't take too much notice of the comments. It's been going downhill rapidly even if the Egg Monroe retardedness has stopped.

 

Well if we get an announcement I think it would be an awesome idea to fuel EVERYONE who has posted throughout the different communities and countries to post a thank you note.... something like "Thank you from New York!" - "Thank you from Brazil" etc etc

You guys get the idea right? If they do announce it we should not stop there. Our next step should be making sure we get the right content... i.e. record mode, items, better search system, lobby system if possible, use of the intro movies (LA had an awesome idea for this)....
