FT at Coinopexpress

No, just for arcade right now.

And sad news but we might have to cancel our order. Frank's truck is breaking down and he might have to buy a new car sooner then he thought, and that means using the FT kit money. We can always get it later since we're still keeping the cabs, but unless we can find a way, it doesn't look like we'll be getting FT right now.

 

Well we decided to go ahead and get FT. We just now recieved it but it came in parts and nothing is hooked up at all. What sucks is we don't know what we are doing and don't know how to hook the damn thing up. Anyone know about this and live in or near CO that could help us hook this thing up?

Also the CD Rom does not say Version B on it. But it did come with some PCB card that says that. Is VF upgraded by a CDROM that should say Version B? Or is it upgraded with a PCB Board?

 

Worry not, the GDROM does not say Version B on it. The game is upgraded by that GDROM and not by any hardware changes.

I got it hooked up and it's definitely version B.



Now I just need to get that cab wire that hooks both up for 2 players, get my sound working, and change out the sticks and buttons with my Sanwa ones and hook up the control panels. I think the hardest part is done. Figuring out all that hardware.

My sister goes on vacation for a week for July 4th. Anyone want to go to CO and play some FT 24/7 nonstop. As fun as FT is, I know it'll get boring just playing frank.

BTW, anyone know where to get that cable that joins the 2 cabs together to link up? We had one with VF Evo but frank wasn't thinking and he sold it when he sold that game and our old Naomi2 kit. That cable seems hard to find.

 

Cancel that July thing. My sister isn't going anywhere anymore. She just bought a new car and can't afford it.

More then I ever expected. I originally bought the cabs from Kaminari_Oyaji (Tim) with an EVO kit. Sold the EVO kit it came with and then bought a FT kit. If you must really know though here is the ludicrous breakdown.


1. 2 New Astro City cabs with Evo Kit – $2,300
2. Shipping for above - $1,300
3. 6 VF kit sticks and some extras direct from Sanwa - $200
4. FT Kit at Coin Express with 3V converter - $1,700


Stupid me gave away that jamma cable that splits the signal to my other cabinet and now I have to buy it from Coin Express for another $150.

DAMN!!! Wow that's a lot of money. I myself have never spent that much money for vf. The most is like 100 bucks for stick and other accessories. But hey, I guess that just shows your level of dedication to this game. Hats off to you.

/versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif It's just all coincidence. Franks truck is breaking down and old so he needs a new one, and my sisters car recently had a lot of problems so she traded it in for a new vehicle a few days ago.

 

We finally got the other cab hooked up and now FT is finally set up in CO. Next time we have a CO gathering I'll try to post up vids of the scene here and some gameplay footage.
