GG's Denkai, I'm slowly getting better. Next time I'll stop being
greedy after a connected k+G so I'll put up more of a challenge. Actually connecting combos is good too.

gg last night Happy Friend and Seri0uscat. I was playing REALLY bad yesterday, not sure why but just feel like a slow potato in every match.

GG MystD - although i must admit the novelty of your Shun is wearing down. Maybe you should go for the full combos instead of drinking so often because you end up losing lots of rounds with me having just a tiny sliver of health /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

GG to all the people I faced today but special shout outs go to kingofvf4, fly gamer, and Hawkeye fr. I lost most of the matches as I expected to but the matches were all close and competitive for the most part even though I came up on the short end more often then not.

Special props to vf5395 your lei fei is rock solid keep it up and see you around online. I would like to see your lei fei learn to switch stances faster. The best lei feis I see do that so well that I have no idea which stance they are actually going to use

To anyone that played me last night -

If you played my Jacky it was actually Boyd (Boido or Air Jacky).

F1REFLOOD - you sent a message saying "not sure why you played like that but whatever." This makes me think Boyd was doing something annoying. I haven't asked him yet but what was he doing? I wasn't in the room when he was playing.

Glory85 - Those were some awesome matches last night! I can't believe how much it kept going back and forth. It seemed like we kept inventing new tricks every match. I'm pissed though that I didn't get 4P+K once on you (mid/high punch sabaki). =) Every time I tried you would do a kick. =( What did you think about Boyd's Jacky? I played a couple rounds while he was playing you. I wish I hadn't strayed from Jacky over the years. When I play him now I have lost all ability and can't even remember how to play him effectively. I was thinking I should start up again because in the brief time I was playing I realized I played a much more tight game the way VF is supposed to be played. Shun makes me play too carefree and wild. I felt Jacky was getting me back to basics, which I need right now.

Tatsuki - I did receive your message last night and I'm sorry I didn't reply. It was too late and I had to go to bed. I hope you did well in ranking!

That's the main reason I stick with Jacky. His whole game is based on solid VF fundamentals. As far as your friend goes he played a bit awkward so it definitely threw me off at times, but no disrespect, he won some games and I just didn't adapt at first.

As far as your shun goes, I feel the same way about most people who play shun. He's in total control of the flow for the most part in the game, and he's definitely a tough matchup for me. He's got too many evasive moves and he can attack even at disadvantages against Jacky, the low kick goes right under almost every mid I do, thats why I had to remember to do groin kicks. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Great games though, really had to make me think about the next thing to do. I really hate that kick sabaki. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

 

Great Games Shin Akira. You still hold the title for brad in my book. We always go back and forth, but I think you had the upper hand on our last bout. Good to have a sparring partner to keep improoving with. See you in the MatriX-box.

 

Good games to vf5395 and SME is me, I was slacking this time but I was slacking this time around. I must give special props to Zy1on, I loves our vanessa (me) vs wolf match was tight the whole time and it was great good job. I am close to getting 6th Dan back and I thought I wouldn't get it back ever again after being demoted to 4th Dan a few days back.

 

NO! It was partly Jacky's fault that I didn't even speak to you until VF3. One Jacky in the group is enough.

 

GG's yesterday to "None Other" Not use to playing against a Shun player so FAST and in your face. By the time I got use to him it was to late. Your style is similar to Jerky, very unpredictable. Good games. GG's also to my homie Djtortilla, great Blaze you have there, Your offense is on point, but once you get use to sidesteping, your going to be INSANE!Props to my homie illWill, and the best Akira in Brooklyn, Yesmaster!

 

gg to shangsterboston we played alot u demoted me from 8 to 6 dan but i dont worry about that stuff.the matches were fun with alot of great mix up of attacks and throws.i gotta learn to avoid the low throw from my recovery or the spinning high k against ur wolf to shadoolord gg i used alot of hai shiki switch to nehan skiki to distance myself from the down k that pai uses and the ura nehan skiki low spinning kick to avoid high and low attacks.
