Did you beat him MrXperiment? KingofCarnage usually beats me and he struggle against you that is a shock he sounded as if he had won the match soundly. That is strange.

I played this dude, Player8527, he was using Lion. He used the SAME double low kick set up over and over. I beat him 3 times then he joined again for my ranking game and he dropped on the last round. Scrubfest 08'

 

KingofCarnage has some difficulty against my abare vanessa too, i think it's because he plays by the book, frames wise, and given the lag on xbox live some of his punishment gets messed up and he ends up punched/low punched. I bet you were trying to punish OS /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif with a knee again and it didn't work, am i right? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

 

I'm pretty new to playing VF5 online. I usually play pretty late at night (12:30AM MT) I just wanna say good games to whomever I have played the last 2 days especially to Dark Timmy and his great (to me) Lau. His spacing is so great. He got me with Lau's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif sweep with the edge of Lau's toe everytime. We had a lot of close matches, but I never won. lol

To the one Sarah player I played last night. It went back and forth a few times but you won more matches than I did.

And to whoever the dude was with Kage who kicked my ass up and down the screen..... I think his name was..... N Dur? Anyway, I don't have a lot of experience playing any Kage so the ass-whippings I got from you were an eye-opener. Your spacing was so great and it seemed like I was getting with everything.

I use Sarah because that's who I feel most comfortable with. My spacing really isn't good and it's what I need to work on. I also hardly ever 2p either and I need to work on that too.

GGs to Beligerent_Feck. Haven't played you for a long time. I seem to remember your Akira was different last time. You must have learned some new tactics since.

Good matches - I hadn't had Aoi online for a longish session for ages. Everytime I choose her, either my opponent leaves or restarts the player match - and I like to change character whenever that happens.

 

I played him 3 times, and beat him 3 times. I'm not that good, I only started playing this game a little while ago, but I am disappointed to have worked so hard to win only to get bad-mouthed on the forum. Maybe he thinks I don't visit here, so I don't get to respond.

It is disappointing, because I've been lurking for a while, and he seemed like a nice and honorable fighter from what I've read, so I was pretty excited to finally fight him. Didn't know he's such a sore loser though, I guess people are different on the forum and when they lose fights.

Shadowmaster, thanks for the games. I couldn't get a single win from you, but I got to see what a good defense looked like, and it was really awesome. Hope to learn from you and play more in the future.

It's been mentioned before that MOBSSUPREME needs to seek help but lately he's been behaving against me, despite losing everytime. Yesterday I beated him 3-0 in three straight matches. That was enough I thought but he challenged me again. Yawn. We were 2-2 and in the fifth round I failed to execute a low throw to win the match so he won instead, finally. He started SCREAMING at me all sorts of things over the mike like there was no tomorrow!! LOL!!!!! That guy has SERIOUS issues. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif I wrote him a message saying "Really? Come back, I'll be waiting". Of course he never showed up. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Get used to it, people that talk a bigger game than they play
are prevalent here. It's almost like they feel that they are good
at VF just for knowing how the system works. The trick is that
you can know all the rules and suck ass. It's really hard for
a dedicated VF player to accept so they just flame on. Shit in
general I know all the rules for SF:CE yet I can't play that
worth a damn. You'd think that experience guarantees wins too
but sorry seniority doesn't mean shit really. You're good or
you're not.

You'll notice that the people that are truly "honorable" on here
don't bitch at all about anything really. Those that tend to get
on and bitch are generally those better at theory fighter than
actual application. Theory fighter is much easier, after all the
numbers are ALWAYS in your favor unless you're just reading shit
wrong.

My name is a homage to these players who can talk about how
shitty you are despite the fact that it was YOU who beat THEM.
I've had this happen so much I must be the worst player online.
Now you could actually be quite shitty. So I'm not going to fight
your war. Losing to someone worse than you happens. 3 times in
a row is a little suspect though. Wait, it's KoC he's got the
lag card and he's not afraid to use it.

Slide noticed this too... I'll try and explain cause I know it really threw slide off, haha.

I was evading too much before and I couldn't defend properly, at the moment i'm trying to watch what the opponent does and learn when to use the different defensive techniques. It means i'm taking guesses a lot though, so i'm eating lots of moves.

Since I was very abare before it makes sense that everyones noticed the difference. I'll go back to my old ways once I feel comfortable that I know when to use fuzzy guard and eteg, haha. Oh yah my inputs are really off too, damn I suck!

I also blocked DZN1ce. He kept talking trash after I kept beating HIM. It got tedious so he got muted. He is trifling.

Anyway, I can understand why you annoyed KingOfCarnage. You're literally the *textbook* example of a machi, backwalking Vanessa player, and a glance through the dojo forums will reveal how much that style is hated on. Honestly, I think it's fun playing you, cause it's a really interesting style, and it's unusual to find someone using it who clearly isn't a complete noob. However, I have noticed you swing back and forth a lot between crazy mind-reading victories, and random back-walking spamming, and the latter annoys me as well.

If I remember right, your playstyle also tends to reek online-only player. I think you catch me all the time with 1P > 1P > throw. Offline, it's trivial to beat that sequence... you just elbow either the second 1P or the throw. Online, I can't always get a frame perfect buffer on my elbow, so I after the first 1P, I'll block the second one, just to prepare for timing the elbow correctly after that move gets blocked, and then somehow the throw catches me as a 0frame, which should be impossible without lag.

I like being random, I like to experiment with different things to see what works. Sometimes it's machi, sometimes it's abare. Sometimes it's "crazy mind reading victories", sometimes it's spam that gets me excellented by my opponent. It's just a game in the end, so I try to have fun and do whatever works, and learn from the process. It's too bad some people don't like it, because they expect you to fight in a certain way, which just happens to be the way they know how to deal with.

But thanks for your comments and advice, I enjoy playing your Aoi too. I love it when I get too predictable and you reverse my moves, it's always a good laugh for me in a "ha, you got me!" sort of way, and teaches me to be less predictable. Great fun, hope to play you again soon.
