A Late GG to WorstPlayer from yesterday. Hopefully you didn't learn too much from my Lion. It was hard enough winning those few fights that I did. Man I hate that Jeffrey bounce combo!!


GG to Blahzie. Although a brief session, thanks again for the matches. I would definitely need to play you again sometime for a longer run to really see some of the crazy stuff Brad is doing. That "Bring it on" low kick definitely surprised me. Seemed to stop alot of my low ranged attacks.

 

dabadseed worked me out, was almost entertaining.. gg tho, definitely got game..

lime empress gg, just crushes my vane but my brad is competitive, i dont understand that.. crushes vane.. horribly.. definitely got game..

kingofVF4 - pretty good flow charts, had me guessing at times. i also didnt know some of the garanteed strings there, so i can learn for next time. the lag at the end spoiled the session abit. but it was pretty strong at the beginning. should be better next time i hope. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

pompeyfraz - strong combos, good execution, loads of potential, keep it up.

Good Games to:

King of Carnage- I've had your number cold this week LOL... I always like playing you a lot, we have very mental matches.
(not sure if that's exactly what I mean but...)

Th3 Killer- I'm finally playing ranked mode again here and there after not touching ranked for about 2-3 months in favor of player match. So I'm at 9th dan at the moment and this player Th3 Killer (also a 9th dan... Wolf to be exact) was hunting me in ranked, literally he joined my game at least 7-8 times in a row.

So he beats me the first 2 or 3 in a row and, on the 4th, gets a ranking match for him to get to 10th dan. We fight an intense 5 rounder and I beat him to deny his rank-up, plus he would have turned my bar red[/size] by beating me one more time.

So I hold my ground and beat him 2 more times in a row until my bar goes yellow[/size] and his goes red[/size], so the next match we fight will be a double ranking match with me going for promotion to 10th and him trying to hold onto 9th or get demoted. Another very close, intense 5 rounder later and he denies me my rank-up and holds his 9th dan (good work man, thought I had you.) Then he joins my game again (this has to be like 10 in a row now) and I just beat him like a rented mule... Too bad it was 1 match too late to really shine. Anyways, great games!

Cozby 401[/size]- this dude's Lei Fei is disturbingly good. He is the only Lei player I have faced that I felt like knew Lei's entire move list cold and could instinctually use every move in the right situation. I'm referring to that feeling you get when you are REALLY, REALLY familiar with your character. You start to feel like you really are that character because you can control them so well. You can use every move at their disposal subconsciously, without having to think about which move would be best to use in that situation. There's no conscious thought involved, every single move and combo your character has just comes out on instinct when you need it; you partly become the character when you are good enough with them.

Cozby401[/size] is on this level with Lei. He goes in and out of stance at light speed and can pour on pressure so intensely you feel like you can't attack at all. Every time you press a button it's like you're countered, staggered or just crumpled. He truly has his own style. He IS[/size] Lei Fei when he's fighting, I've never played a Lei like this.

I had literally NO idea what he was going to do next. I block high he goes low, I duck, mids, I punch, auto-sabaki, I evade, he full circulars or throws... it was really impressive. I actually could feel myself getting frustrated because he was all over me and I couldn't put him away. I'm sure you have all had sets where you can push your opponent to the 5th round with 1 pixel of health left but they will almost always beat you. He beat me 10 or 11 in a row, more than half going down to the wire in the 5th round (He did ring me out a few times which I'm not a huge fan of but whatever... I think if I had avoided a few of those ring-outs I could have stopped his streak before 10 but maybe not.)

I consider my self a very good VS Lei player but Cozby401 is on another level all together. If you are a Lei Fei player you NEED to play Cozby401[/size] to see how deadly Lei can be. If you can use him properly, like Cozby401[/size], you can destroy people. I've never been countered, staggered and crumpled more in any set of matches, Lei's attack properties are truly monstrous. You can also play him in a way that he becomes exceedingly hard to hit, with his awkward stances, attacks that avoid high pressure and his insane frame stats (when the F*CK does Lei not have advantage?!?)

Regardless though, awesome games to Cozby401[/size]!

I'll say it one more time:

If you use Lei Fei and you want to take your game to the next level you absolutely must play Cozby401[/size], he has the best Lei I have ever played period.

Anyway, good games to FIRE_FLOOD, nice setups bro, excellent yomi. Only caught you with that "bring it on" kick cuz you started to telegraph that sliding low punch a bit. You basically had me beat outside of that.

Brisal...if you really do live all the way in South Cali you are by far the best connection I get with a Cali player. The connection feels just as smooth for me as playing against someone here on the east coast. Your Wolf is hella solid. I always get my hopes up because I get some hits in but I know Wolf is all about just making his moves count. Which ends up with you winning any ways. LOL.

King...I don't know what issues you were having with the connection but it felt pretty smooth on my side. I also have Verizon Fios so I usually don't have issues unless my opponent's connection sucks as well. If I can play against Brisal all the way across the country and get good connect...I'm sure I can do the same with you. Yet...that's what makes me feel guilty about even playing this game online. Every frame counts in this game and there's always some delay no matter how good the connection is. Technically no online match is ever a valid match. Definitely a good way to have fun and learn basics though.

 

kaminari_oyaji, ggs, sorry about the disconnection, my mom pulled the plug on the modem because she was p*ssed off about the house.
