GGS to Marlo, nice lei, you have improved alot since the last time we played. Sorry to so unceremoniously dump and run on the player matches without warning, but my ride showed up earlier than expected and was outside honking. GGs man, keep up the work with Lei.

 

I Am Shidosha: thanks for all your help, you gave me loads of stuff to practice. Next time we play I should be a lot better, provided I spend enough time in the dojo first...

 

Hey thanks man, really. I don't think I broke any barriers or anything, just concentrating on making fewer mistakes... and yeah, there was a little luck involved too. Actually, what's been working for me is trying to alter the pace of the match... By this I mean that offensively, when trying to slow it down, I'll use more delayed attacks (not slower attacks, but delayed attacks in combos) plus the low sweep, which tends to get guys thinking a little more before they do crazy movement stuff. And when attempting to speed it up, I'm trying to vary what I do off slipping and use different angles. I still DM way too much.

Actually, something that twp said after the last Shakedown helped me... he mentioned that the way I should think about movement is this: "what can I do to make my opponent's attack whiff?" I was thinking of movement more as something to confuse the opponent rather than a viable defensive option. So I started doing stuff like backdash into b,f P+K... y'know, trying to let my movement flow into offense and defense as opposed to being separate from both.

Anyway, if what I just said sounds like bullshit, that's because it largely is. I really just got lucky. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

You should play him at ranked, because I know he is same as your rank, Warrior. But his win ratio already 70%'s.

Great games to Shin akira these past few days, really helping my defense a lot. If I could just catch your 3P+G throw more often I'll be golden haha, great stuff man.

GG Slide, your kage is no slouch look forward to seeing more of him. Sarah matches were also getting very good, I'm starting to finally be able to keep up with that fast game speed you force me to play at.

Darknessredifine great shun matches I had to really worry about your evade attack which I don't see used very often, good way to punish me for continuing my offense after you've evaded me haha.

yeah shin is pretty good, but he's still learning the system, his defense sometimes fails his matches, but he can bring on the attack pretty well~

his main character is goh, and he uses blaze and wolf on the side~
