I didn't win at all outta the matches we played(cidkid), but I still feel good. I don't know how I knew...but those random throw escapes made me feel all warm inside. Then you just adapted to my defense/offense and ran through me, delicious.


I feel like I'm forgeting someone....

 

Good Games to:

KamikazeGopher: I was surprised to play yet another El Blaze it
seems like he's getting popular nowadays. Hey man, close matches
for the most part. You had a setup/delay combo you went for one
to many times though. I stink, but I've been around the block
a few times. Get some more of dem tricks and foolishnes
going. You seemed pretty solid, mix it up on a I'll see you in
the elimination round for sure!

Blahzie: Man it's wierd playing you without my Blahzflexes aka
reflexes I've built while playing you since we used to play so
much. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but I
think it helps that I was playing shun. We fight this week homie!
I'm rooting for you since you don't seem to be able to get a
break vs me come tourney time. So just remember that the person
gettin in that ass is your biggest fan! Lol!

VF5395: You got me! It's all about the lagtasticness forgot I
was downloading shit. Turned it off after I played you but you
were g-g-gone. Next week, bet on it! (I want you in one of
my tourneys too! It will make you feel gooooood.)

Denkai: What can I say? I always seem to start off strong vs
you then you diagnose my shit and show me the error of my ways.
(PS I don't want you in one of my tourneys lol, I kid)

DarkGift: I hope you understand I wasn't bitching about you
doing Wolfs DMp+k attack. I was bitching about the fact that
even though I purposely didn't compensate for it just to see
if I could escape it, I couldn't. That's really irritating
considering how easy some people say it is to escape. I'm
notorious for being bad at exact inputs though, one of the
reasons why I gave up on Lau as my main. Besides that GG's
it was wierd playing such a high risk Wolf. One things for
sure I have to get some combos vs Heavys.

Risen Glory: Sorry bro, I didn't realize you wanted to play until
you already switched to someone else. I'll hit you back in the
near future. (You should get in on one of my online tourneys man.
They could use a trooper like you bringin the heat.)

There's some other Masters and 10th dans I played that I just
don't remember. GG's all, hopefully soon I can play more often.

Once he gets slipping and ducking, theoretically DS vane can sabaki everything he throws at her but it's a 50/50 guess between an elbow and a knee, with brad having the advantage of momemntum. I end up freezing lots of times, and you took advantage of it - thank god Brad's throws are not that damaging. Truth be told i prefer being in OS when Brad's in my face, f+p,pkg to the rescue.

GG FlyGamer, i was lucky to play your Aoi today (i feel helpless against your eileen /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif). If i may suggest, don't try going for the multipart throws, they are easily escaped. Also, after Aoi's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif you are at +15 so /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is guaranteed. I think /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is also guaranteed, at least i think that's the input.

 

The OS switch really threw me off early on, usually see a lot of DS vs Vane.. I throw a lot of knees and kicks vs Vane because i assumed she cant sabaki them, i hate gettin caught throwing punches at her so i overcompensate a bit.. brads throws stink but i need them to set up other stuff, otherwise id never use em

gernburgs - fought the other day, worked me out for a few matches before moving on to bigger fish..

darknessredefine - i fight this guy pretty regularly, several times a week.. i never host so i usually end up with him when theres no one else to fight.. problem is, i dont think he likes me much.. half the time he cheeses a few matches then jumps outthe ring, sometimes he just jumps out.. dunno why but gg anyway..

I Theworstplayer I, auvii, shinakirazero, vf5395 and blahzie all kick my ass today too.. Shakedown apparently means beat red son's ass today so thanks for the whippin you all..

RedSonRising: Man, don't beat yourself up. Shit happens. Hell, I had to come back from 2 rounds to 0 deficit in the last deciding match in two of my fights. I could have easily been winless. My guesses were lucky in those last rounds.

Good games to all the higher ranked faces ive never seen which include but are not limited to Mathias 02, Gameorgina1 and Core619.

Good games to vf5395. And yes Lei's are scrubs. Most lack fundamentals; a good offensive game will get you far and a better offensive game will get you farther but thats the end of the road!

Besides evading I'd like to see more throws out of the Lei's I face. A simple "/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif > throw" can be highly effective in tight squeezes. Throwing also can be highly effective against pesky DMPK spammers.

As a last note thanks to the tough love Myke has been giving me i've finally began looking at frames (!). /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif are two of leis fastest moves. I tend using them after connecting a low punch or even a guarded hai /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. Due to the range of hai /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif I HIGHLY recommend throwing one after back dashing. Sequences like: guarded /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif have been saving my life.

i beat myself up over losses, old habits die hard but it keeps me motivated.. was happy to be competitive in most of the fights, steal a few rounds here and there.. at least im not flipping out and throwing controllers anymore.. im learning a lot and its easier now that i have a basic understanding of why i lose.. which brings me to my next good game shout out..

i dont hate'em, but i do hate'em.. have to fight em cause the kid is nice, hate to fight em cause i lose a lot.. but my game is improving and its not cause im in the dojo or quest mode all day either.. hes been on my friends list for a minute and we fight for a couple hours almost every night.. i even skipped out on gta4 to fight with him tonight and i was dying to get back into Liberty City..

so, big shoutout to Nassillmatic99.. i still hate'chu, and you know this MAN!!

(good game shoutout to Paper Lion01 as well, solid Vane that im finally able to keep up with, his aoi is lookin promising as well.. gg)

 

ggs cozby401 u were very creative with ur lei i ate many doku reversals after 66p or from hai p+k and pp+k. The 0frame throws also took advantage of my guard of helplessness many times from ppg cancel and ura nehan p cancel throw.u simply became some sort of a super lei in front of my eyes good luck against none other he demoted me from defender and i been jinx at 9th ever since lol /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

 

GGs to DaBadSeed! I finally got back to play some VF and those Player matches against your very unique Lion ended up being a great warm-up for Ranked! I saved my ass from demotion like three times, hehe... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

DaBadSeed: beat me up waaaay toooo muuuuch. At least in the second session we played I managed to win a few. (literally like 3, lol). I had to go Dojo Aoi for a few hours just to figure out what you were doing. Still not sure, but a little better idea

Happy Friend: yeah, you didn't beat me for an 11-15 game win streak this time!!! Either i'm getting better or you lost focus (I had a 2-3 game win streak at one point) either way i'll take it and run.

And to everyone else I played but cant' recall

and as always to VF5935---those matches are as even as ever. We seriously have to be around 50-50 for all of our player and ranked matches. I wish I could see how you and Cozby and some of the other good lei's fight against everyone else on a regular basis. Sure would be nice if you could save and share reply's on xbox live.
