His ninja is good, his skills are solid. He doesn't spam anything. Give his kage a shot, its nice to play against someone of his caliber that doesn't do it with smoke and mirrors. I played all high walls agianst him last night, but even when playing low or no walls he didn't go cheesy on me.

 

Grugleplex has a strong Wolf too.

Good games to Beligerent Feck for showing me how nasty Akira - the actual character - knows how to punish people frame wise. I was dead meat on side-turns, counter hits, rising, and even some normal hits. You've got a great comprehension on this your Akira has a style I've never seen before.

Good Games to Linzhuomin uhh... you can see my Lei isn't perfect, ive begun messing around, experimenting and getting lazy, hopping around and shit like the lil fairy i am. hahaha ill experiment with back stumble combos and see what i can come up with, but its really hard to go wrong seeing as anything afterwards is cheap free damage. I don't know if you remember me saying but you can throw the opponent too for added damage to it. Im gonna master Pai tomorrow I promise you all!

But to summarize, pretty much all I can do is just ninja techniques off those guys. If they weren't around I'd still be struggling my way past 5th dan. So pretty much, I would guess that the reason I seem like a risk taker is because, really, at the core, I'm just a glorified parrot repeating stuff I saw the other guys do on the replays I saved without the usual level of understanding that causes players to use em. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif But thanks just the same. Speaking of ggs tho, cozby###, bro, thanks for the games man. I picked up a few new techniques for my arsenal. Maybe I can hold on to master for a match or two now Watch out for back staggers tho man, you flash that hiney for too long and, well, its like dropping the soap in prison. The funny thing is that you whoop me despite the 60% combos that I occasionally exploit that tendency for. sheesh

GG's to Beligerent Freck. Your Akira got stronger over the months. at some points i noticed frustration through your actions (After 15 years of VF or any fighting game of that matter you should.). Nice to see the fire burning in you still.

Yeah they where the toughest matches I had last night, fuck knows what i was dong but you were really hard to punish. Have to get some games in when i'm back into the swing of things, see if I do any better.

GGs to Cozby, first decent Lei i've played online I think haha. You had some very nice set ups and was very confusing to deal with. Those Tech traps where nasty /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Its not guaranteed but its really hard to struggle quick enough to block the second hit.

Larsy, you know I love your lau man. Damn 8kk and 1kk gave me nightmares /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

... and Denkai, First time I played your Jacky. Very fun matches, you're Jacky is a beast.

I'm late with my GGs and I'm not gonna remember everything perfectly but.......

Kahn Rahn - I want my Aoi to be like yours. I thought it wasn't possible to connect with hits after her /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif. I thought you just get advantage. Boy was I wrong about that. Also, you seem to play different in ranked matches than player. It felt like you let up on me in the player fights.

Auvii - Our games were close but I never felt like I was ever gonna win. That means you set the pace better than I did. When I play against Jackys I usually turtle from mid-to-deep range because I feel like I my Sarah's speed isn't good enough against Jacky.

There was this Goh player I went up against 2 days ago and we were going back and forth for a while in player but I just couldn't keep up. His Goh wore white and had the weird white mask on. Great matches but again..... after a while it felt like I was just getting in random hits and I wasn't setting the pace.

eighty08 - Or was it six08? Something..... I'll edit my post after I find out. Anyway, our games were close and it was cool talking to you. You may feel like I'm good but sometimes it just feels like I can't keep up and only land hits with good guesses and my wake-up tactics.

Anyway..... I'm mostly a Sarah player but I've been trying to dabble with Aoi because I like her style. Sarah seems limited to me sometimes because she only has 1 sabaki and no reversals and it feels like every other charaxcter has faster attacks from mid-to-deep range so I dash back and forth/turtle from deep and try to stay close as much as possible and set the pace with her Flamingo. If you ever play me and we disconnect please don't be mad...... my 360 is schizophrenic. Some days it's good and other days it gives me the 3 red rings time after time for no apparent reason. I usually apologize after I get back on if I remember your tag.

I'll be back with more props.

 

Great games to Spirt Riper 69 (Italian - his English ain't so hot!) - a fun Wolf, creative and really uses the full moves list. Highly recommended.

Just wanted to say good games to Dark Gift[/size][/size]... I played his Wolf again yesterday (only for 3 matches, unfortunately, cause they were good and very challenging,) <u>he beat me fair and square.</u> He didn't spam DMPK at all and played me straight up. The first match was very close but the last two went heavily in his favor.

I just wanted to publicly say that <u>he is quite good and is not a DMPK spammer.</u> He plays a good game and has a lot of skills with his Wolf...

Once again, your boy Jake was wrong...

And good games to the great Shinn Akira[/size][/size]... This dudes Brad is nightmarish... He has one of the most withering rush-downs I have faced. His movement with Brad is literally second to NONE.

I was trying to upset you and make you more aggressive but you would'nt budge.I haven't used Jacky in so long though that my timing is off. After a few more of those matches i should get the good stuff back.

 

GGS to Beansodoom tonight. I particularly LOLed during the round where we repeatedly throw cancelled each other.

 

Besides a host of other rediculous setbacks, i.e. hitboxes(like your moves randomly whiffing after first contact -serpent cannon, and a host of moves being able to slip under your mids) Sarah is not sufficiently equipped, defensively, to deal with P or 6P, and to a lesser extent 2P(unless youre in flamingo).

The options she has are: fuzzy, ETEG, etc. all of the conventional means, everyone else already has access to. I guess that's enough? I think Jeffry is in the same boat, defense-wise.

Your disadvantages are PURE. There's no shortcut: reversal, counter, inashi, sabaki(no. P+K only works on your adv).
