Nah I owe you an apology and a rematch. I forgot to turn off Utorrent during our match yesterday. Our connection played pretty well, but it definitely could have been 100% better. You had the upper hand and probably could have won. I don't know if you notice the 2-3 hiccups during our match, but I did right away. I turned it off immediately and then tried to find you for a rematch, but you were long gone. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

 

GGs to AcrylicHobo the other day. I've never seen you online before which is pretty amazing considering you have thousands of games under your belt and are also Defender.

I'm glad you gave me an opportunity to redeem my loss and also thank you for helping me back to Barbarian. We only had three matches total but your Sarah is unique.

That is what I love about VF. Everyone has such a different approach to their character. The style differences I notice the most are with Sarah, Lei, and Shun. Lei can be a headache especially when going back and forth between different people playing him. I swear I've seen at least 5 different really powerful ways of playing him.

One character that always makes me have to completely change the way I play Shun is Wolf. I am always fearful of how much damage he can deliver and also his rush move. His overhead smash is frustrating as F@#$%@#!

I had the pleasure of playing Denkai yesterday. Since he normally plays only in ranked i suppose he was taking it easy on me, which is very nice of of him - plus it would explain why he switched effortlessly from jacky to jeffry and then to shun. You know what they say, third time's the charm. I don't think i've won a round against his shun /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif Three cheers for the switchnation /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif

Also GGs to Cozby VFDC, MotorCity Jacky, SoulKatana and (don't hate plz) Boris of Wales. I honestly think Boris is into learning the game, i can't imagine why he ended up being mentioned in the bad games thread, oh well /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Tony some would beg to differ. Lol I appreciate the praise but at the same time I would rather not have my name mentioned. I play for fun and would rather not play competitively. Some of these high ranked types get touchy and start whining and thats something I don't want to be a part of.

To the good players: Never take a loss too hard. There is no shame in defeat but only in the way defeat is handled.

Yupa VFDC: Wow..I think we played intensely for about 3 hours straight. Those were some pretty good matches. The kick cancels you kept throwing at me were crazy, and I had a lot of fun playing you. We need to play more matches SOON!

The Feaucha: I think we played for about an hour and a half today straight and that was fun. Heh, my sis and gf were in the room and everytime you Spod me they would go "Oh snap! You got served!" It was funny, but the matches were fun. You seem to be able to pull off all of akiras difficult moves on command. Very hard to do, and pretty impressive!

Punishing Soul: Thanks for inviting me to some player matches and showing how many ways you could kick me and break my legs. Seriously though, when you got me near the wall...those were some brutal beatdowns. Good stuff though and some real intense matches

Special thanks to Cozby and Blahzie for not minding me joining their room so much and destroying me. Fighting you blahzie is slowly helping me to understand how brad moves a little, and cozby...I don't know what you were doing besides whooping me all across the screen...I mean dang...impressive.

excellent point. there is a certain beauty to the characters that can be played with a multitude of styles @ a high level. shun and lei are the primary as ican see in this light. sarah i dont see it all, but all her kicks look alike to me and she's tuff as hell and this all adds up 2 me completely believing ut rite. even lions punk ass is up there. the characters that everyone plays the same....ehhh...couldnt use'em.
Consequently, cozby has the prettiest and the best lei. then i like linz style. vf####. and i'm my style seems really basic but i'm me and theres no magic as 2 what i`ll do next. sorry sean, u last but 2nd strongest.

GGs to Blahzie - Very enjoyable playing against your Brad, and I hope we can do it again. Showed me some of the moves that I'm not exploiting (Oh, you get free hits with effective sways back... how about that), and also that circulars KILL my evades. Got some questions about the advice you sent me - I'll PM it to you. Hope we can get some more in. Oh yeah, nice costume too - glad to see you're doing the BRAD SHOW proud!

Plague - Very nice to finally play you at last, after seeing you and Shinn Akira go at it on YouTube. I know for fact that my victory was an example of the rule we are all aware of here: n00bs can win the first match, but they don't win anymore after that. Hoping that we can play again and prove that maxim true .

Boris of Whales - Good matches! I'm with erdraug, I don't get the impression you're out to hate. Keep mixing it up and your lion will be a force.

DJ Tortilla - sucked about the lag, but good games all the same. I was forcing myself to avoid tech-rolling and rising kicks, and it wasn't helping me at all! Nice playing you.

That session was mad fun man, you was doin work on me, glad you stuck around for as long as you did.. Funny, my brother was in the room with me and he kept sayin "dam, that dude is fuckin you up" lol, you came back alot of times from being 2 rounds down to winning 3 straight, or just flat out shut me down, some good play there from you man when you hit you hit hard.

Cadorna - It makes me proud of myself that we went back and forth with our match wins because I last played you a long time ago and I couldn't get around your Vanessa's sabakis and defensive moves before and I ran into them a lot and I could never get a win. But now, I throw fakes in and out of FL (mainly just 1 or 2 jabs) and dash back in anticipation and to see people's reaction to my FL.

Kidvid711 - Same with Cadorna except I last played you a longer time ago. I remember you totally dominating me and jumping all around the screen and I couldn't keep up at all. But 2 days ago....

I still got dominated. lol! BUT!.... I was able to compete and when I play somebody as good as you, that's all I can hope for. I even got a couple of wins. Maybe one day..... I'll actually learn what Kage's TFT motion is so I can (pitifully) attempt to break it.

 

Great games HolyVagabond, lots of fun. You clearly improved a lot and got some nice wins there.

Yupa VFDC, another great Sarah. I got a bit frustrated at the beginning but found my way around your FL and got my share of straight wins. Also, those tight white pants are a bit distracting, good strategy /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

 

Ggs to vfhayato, brisal, and kokobananaman. The longer sets are always more fun.

 

Props to, Blahzie(Great matches man, there was one match in the last round were it became"Win, or Go Home" situation. Great patience on both sides. Vfhayato, in are back and forth matches. Those were fun. Cozby, a few days ago with are Virgin subs, Eileen vs Pai. Great bouts. Punshing Soul, and he's improving Goh. And Auvii, and he's IMPROVED Jacky. Good stuff. PEACE, and I'm out. Cool Corey, I think that is the correct tag, had a very nice Jacky. We played similar in style but I haven't seen him in ranked or on these forums. Really great matches though.

Coz, damn your eileen. i clicked join match and hten when i seen it was your eileen and not lei, for some reason i knew i'd lose. then i lost. I know, wonderful mentality from SMB, haha. But seriously, we've never had lag like that before it was a little annoying but it was still an even playing field.

Anergic: GG to you. That 5th round made me mad when you just did beat knuckle and that one kick, lol, but when calmer heads prevail its my fault for being unable to adapt and punish, so you just doin what ur supposed to.
