lol ggs cozby. You spanked me over and over and I was so glad you kept on giving me rematches. It was a bit laggy at some points but the outcome would've been the same I'm sure lol. Hey I won one time out of our 20 matches so that made me happy!!! Ugh I hate Lei fei LOL! OMG I fought this one dude named erdaug and he raped me with his Vanessa...geez, I really need to learn how to punish her but she's just so devastating both offensively and defensively. She's like a mixture of Jacky, Brad, Wolf, and some other characters all in one GRRR! No wonder they want to make her the next Dural. Guys how do you punish her Sweep move? I tried doing Jacky's elbow move but she had enough time to dodge it!!! I remember I could punish her last time but now I couldn't! Could it be the lag? Anyhow ggs to erdaug too...we must've played 200 matches straight! I got to the point where I was playing but was mostly just brain dead lol...kept on doing the same moves and falling for his same moves and didn't bother to adapt.

 

i agree that gentleman thief is simply beastly. But...last time i played him my win % was very good, i won't disclose the numbers cause he may have just been trying something out, or goofing off, or whatever. Still my % was higher than it should have been or should be against such a player. Thus, u didn't see me coming on here pumping him 4 ggs when i know he was better than me and i put up win strings on him. They were not good games for him. And i have played him on 2 other occasions. First time he went 5-2 against me and 1 night he went 8 to 11 wins and no losses and left the game cause i wasn't even sniffing a win and there was really no point. But still. Point being, against players of a significantly higher skill level, i find other characters to be more difficult. Pretty much any master sarah or lion or brad are going to give me more trouble. Lau or blaze yikes. And yet i can play Gentleman, and watch as he double evades, box steps, dashes, crouch dashes, fuzzy crouch dash gaurds, ETEG, multiple throw escapes, etc and know he is a better player than others who beat me more soundly. Guy is amazing. Honestly, i beleive if he has a solid sub, i would have more trouble with it. Don't get me wrong tho, his goh is certainly better than me lei, i don't need to be reminded. Anyhow. That's all my rant. In a side note, if i take up a sub it will be akira-who i've toyed with for a bit, shun-the same, or goh- cause i think he'd force me to truly learn vf5's deep system.

 

Where did you got the idea you got "raped"? I found our games evenly matched. You have me frustrated each time we play, your style is simple (compared to my constant stance switching) yet so very efficient, just the way jacky is meant to be played.

It's definetly lag. According to the frames posted on VFdc you can easily punish vanessa after her DS sweep (-18). Hell, you can try elbowing her anyways (-5 on hit, even on counterhit). In fact i'm ashamed to admit lag is the reason i followup low punch with that silly sweep so often, followed by the occasional DM p+k. Offline you'll see me go for the while rising punch/throw mixup instead.

Very good games to you too /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Yeah, i was kinda hoping that playing a long session like that would help train my muscle memory: jacky's strings are too fast and varied for me and the only way for me to cope is to engrave them in my memory, so please accept my apologies if i tired you at the end.

Hey GGs to Social Ruin, Unico711 and Brisal. Another dangerous upcoming Lei Fei user in Social Ruin! I won by luck whew! Unico711's Brad was very good and tricky but somehow I managed to pull off a win even when things looked grim for me. Brisal, we both know the first win was a fluke on my part as you tore me up the second time lol!

Erdaug, dude you raped me lol! I did win a few though so atleast there is hope for me yet. Yeah I could've sworned that it was punishable but for some reason, I couldn't punish you grrr! It didn't really feel all that laggy either. Anyhow GGs bro and thanks for giving me all those rematches. Hmm, have I ever fought you before? I think I remember you from before but it's been awhile...xbox360 broke and just recently got a new one. Time to practice more and hopefully I'll give you a better challenge next time.

ggs to punishing soul today. Holy crap, u've gotten a lot better. Man ur playstyle has changed a bunch. U weren't kidding about having some good tools in sweep throw (very strong and confusing) and ur other throws and sabakis. I was very impressed. OK, now the question. But, how are us still only 6 dan? OK, a month or so ago i could understand, u relied on that long mid kick, but now...u got a lot of weapons and make ur opponent make choices. Wow, great improvement.
Bad games vf5395 for beating me with your brad. LOL. I don't like playing subs, and playing ur sub when ur a lei encyclopedia suuuuuccckkkkkedddd. Seriously, when playing other lei's mains i'm ok that everytime i'm in a stance change or certain stances i'm gonna eat 9kg, or 43pk, but when playing say...ur brad and everytime i go into certain stances u break out brad's counter. UUUgggghhhh. Somebody hand me oh'boy's cat so i can transfer my frustration.

Social_ruin, to answer your question, the ranking system isn't exactly accurate because I can win like over 10 matches in a row against someone who's a 9+ dan and it won't affect my progress bar much(if he's more than 2 ranks above me); then along comes a great similar ranked player beats me 2 or 3 times only, and I get demoted lol....I'm kinda stubborn, I like to play them more than once even if I can tell they'll beat me.

For instance, tonight I played and lost twice to Tricky VFDC (he's got one of the best Eileens on Live, imo....ggs to him) and he too was 6th dan, so now I'm on the verge of getting demoted again lol.

Anyway, Great games tonight to: Brisal73, VF5395, social_ruin, Rare Entity, narenski, Boido E, GURUsin, Anergic, VF5HSter, TrueSonic2K and Wasted Wish.

i gotta chime in on this, one of the few ggs i had in vf5 the last few weeks was gentleman thief( ive had trouble finding someone to play in vf5 let alone someone as good as him, player match is usually dead when i want to play) and i think im pretty good, when i use my main i usually go toe to toe with anyone, but he destoyed me like no other, with his sub, kage, uggghh. i won like two or three matches out of 12, so i challenge him again and play his goh, he is the best goh player by faaarrrrr, i won like 4 matches out of like 15, i got happy i was starting to hold my own, i message him telling him ggs and that he's damn good, thens hes like "ggs, im actually a little rusty from soul calibur 4" and im like fuuccccckkkkkkkk, how much better can he be, seriously, hes got all the technical aspects of the game down, boxstepping, eteg, fuzzying at -6 disadvantage, all that shit
........so yea, i agree, dude is tough

(this is fulan) lol, ggs dude, it felt a bit sluggish but it was cool playing you finally. I wanted to use the mic but it was hard to hear you, volume was up and denkai and konjou were talking aswell.
