ggs to...guess who...gentleman thief. Gave me the ass kicking i deserved. went like 6 or 7 or 8 wins and no losses. Then whipped up on my bro for a while. Lol. Very dominating. Shit, i want to be this good. ggs.

Vf5395: Man watching your Lei in action is a thing of beauty! It's like he's dancing but at the same time kicking ass too lol. Everything you do looks random but feels hecka calculated. Man I just get totally overwhelmed! I tried my best to give you a good fight though...whew I never had to dig deep and use so much mind games and eventhen it wasn't good enough DOH! After those matches, my brain needed some rest hehe. LOL anyhow thanks for all the great matches....I still need lots of practice. I got owned. =(

DeathSushi: Wow what a strong and aggressive Brad player! Always in my face and making me eat your devastating combos and throws. Very solid all around. I was able to do pretty well though once I put some distance between you and I. We kept going back and forth...definitely GGS to you man!!!

Rare Entity: GGs bro! LOL I had a fun time trying to win my rank back from you but I guess it wasn't meant to be hehe. I haven't fought a lotta good El Blaze players but man, you really did a number on me. I remember there were some matches where it was soooooooo close lol! UGH I need to do some more research on how to fight El Blaze...very tricky.

Punisher Soul: LOL I felt the same! I was like, "Yay Punisher Soul is there! Time to join mwhahah!" GGs and I can't wait to play you more! Very dangerous Goh...whew lots of damage you can deal on me with just a well timed throw.

BoidoE: GGs to another fellow Jacky player! Sorry for the demotion. I wanted to play you more but was kinda hard to find you later on.

Kidvid: Doh, I almost beat you! Very gg and too damn close. UGH I'll get you next time hehehe.

GGs to tsua, I definitely gotta give you props for challenging me again even after you took your rank back the first time. Also, some advice for fighting El Blaze, you can escape the throw from Rocket Discharge by pressing neutral throw, or you could just duck under it or throw a quick jab. Also try moving around more, I got some easy throws on you when you were standing still blocking.

Busy weekend of playing. Still fighting to switch off my bad habits, but it's been helpful playing good players to punish me for them.

So, good games to:

Tsua/HotD - Nice Jacky. I felt like I was alternating between operating in auto-pilot and second-guessing everything I did. I suspect that's probably an indication that your game was good, because new players tend to roll over to an overly-aggressive approach. Keep it up. Hope we get some more games in soon.

Punishing Soul - Great games, and very impressed that you kept joining, regardless of the outcomes. Keep it up with Goh, and work in those throw mix-ups. Use some of his other tools like 6P+K+G for wake-up games, and practice getting the catch-throw of Goh's 66K+G. There were a few times I rose, and blocked that strike, and you could have thrown me. Each time I breathed a sigh of relief /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Rare Entity/B1tchmade - Always good to play against El Blaze. I seem to have so much trouble with that little guy, and I HATE BEING CALLED A HOTDOG. ARGGGGH! Is the neutral throw just executed as a standard throw escape, or can you escape once you've gotten caught by it.

Tiger Uppercut 1 - Nice to see a lower ranked player keep joining games, as that's the same thing I do. If someone beats me soundly, I want to re-join straight away so that I can figure out exactly _how_ they're doing it. Nice one.

Boido E - Nice Jacky, I was having a lot of trouble figuring out what I needed to do, so that's a sign that I was either playing robotically, or you were adapting your game well. It's likely the latter of the two, but I'm going to assume that the first came into play as well and saved a few of our matches to watch back over and figure out.

VF3595, Narenski, Unico711, and all others - good games, just didn't play as many of them as the above few.

Excellent gaming weekend to everyone that I played, learned a lot, and pet my cats backwards about sixty times (at least I'm not frustrated now =] )

GGs Gentleman thief, you are amazing with goh. I can't believe there are people that can be that much better than me, lol. Its humbling. I'd ask for advice, but i know about three important things that i did terribly and there's no reason to ask for advice when i know what it is. (quit doing whiffing wake up attacks, don't techroll into back stagger, and there was a 3rd one, but i'm too lazy to remember it at the time.)

Kingofcarnage: its always fun switching back and forth from your wolf to akira.

Yea that was a lot of fun. Every time I thought I could pull my win ratio out ahead, you caught back up to me. Great stuff, look forward to next time.

Ha, didnt seem like you were having too much trouble during our last match. You beat me pretty bad! I'm not sure but I think the throw from Rocket Discharge can be escaped once it catches you.

 

Ah, here's my answer, posted by Namflow in the El Blaze forums:

RD + - Day Job
High catch throw, 55 damage

Advantages:
- Most damaging RD move at 55 damage
- Fastest executing RD move
- Catch throw so throw escapes won't work
- Will beat dodges, standing guard, and backdashes
- HOT DOG

Can't deny that last advantage. ARGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

 

Damn, now I feel stupid. I could have sworn I've escaped that throw before, but now that I think about it maybe it was just the swing DDT I escaped.

Your Aoi completely owned me (10 matches or so). Great pressure throughout and especially when I was on the floor. Basically, I could not touch you. At all.
