Good Games Thread

Good games to Tony Familia... I don't even know why I try anymore, I can never finish him off.

 

I've actually BEATEN kingofvf4 with my aoi multiple times, son! Really though, he is good. I agree there.

I really only play Aoi because I feel my roster is a sausage fest (Lau, Akira, Wolf), and she is the only female char. I enjoy playing with other than Vane, which is way~ too much of a "main", which would take way more time to master than I'd like to invest.

Online though, she feels SO damn inconsistent with flowcharts and her overall effectiveness. For example: playing a moderately decent Kage after playing you. You get all messed up and all the yomi that worked with person A no longer works, at all, with person B, and often times the adaptation from player to player over long game times is too much to take in after playing that long.

I feel her character design plays more mind games with the player than the opponent most of the time! x(

Denkai: I won't do the usual string of compliments because, let's face it, you probably hear that all the time. I just can't believe how quickly you adapt, predict, and react. After 2 rounds you knew me almost as well as people who have played me 100 times. Tight, tight Lau. I did a few things I was really proud of my self, and it was a pleasure going 20-4 with you /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif (or something 1-sided like that) Hopefully we can get some more games in soon.

Shiny_Brentford: I don't know if you are on here, but thanks for the games against my Lion. (Yeah, that's right Lion, bitches. AND WHAT?) I am just learning him, but you let me keep challenging you no matter how noobish I got. We go even with our mains, so I was happy with my overall play this time.

GGs: Ayufanb0y. I played you way back in the day when we were both 6-7th dans, and played you again the other night when we've both been to master and beyond. Lookslike you've continued to improve as well over the months. good work. Look forward to more close and fun matches in the future.

Denkai: like white rice with that jeffrey (or maybe i should go brown rice, but whatev) so simple, but so good. You owned me, but its okay, b/c you're denkai and i'm not. hahaha.

VFnumbers: Had a couple good sessions with you here recently! (tho the first one got too laggy to be of any use, after a certain point we were both missing way too much guaranteed stuff)
The second, more recent session was much better. Its always good to play you and find out what moves i can/could be using more often and more effectively. I hope our matches reenergize you in much the same fashion. is 9 k+g not guaranteed off of your k+g out of reverse nehan (crouching face towards, i think i got my stances right). It seems like i shoulda been able to rip you with it, but you were getting stance change in before i could, i know 66k+g is vulnerablet to it, and thought your k+g outta reverse nehan should have been equally as susceptible. If so, then i should won'em all, ahhaha, but really, i was going for it for like 20 games in a row and missing it.

 

Good games to Plague. We raped each other off the wall a few times. We always play in the wooden cage.

Always fun to play you man, don't know why our connection dropped like that mid-match. I didn't get disconnected from LIVE, it just booted me to the lobby screen... Oh well, better luck next time.

When you invited me again, I was already beating Lei Fei up and I couldn't stop myself. It brings me too much pleasure.

TrueSonic: Where's that Jeffry bro? Your Lion is good but with Lau's 9P it's so much easier to deal with a lot of his lows. Even when you do a some low attacks and Lau's 9P whiffs, I end up with the advantage. What can I say, Lau's on top /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

SDS Overfiend: You caught me offguard with all those DMP+K's but even when I block and I'd go to get my "guaranteed throw" I couldn't get it. You would 2P, 1P or just jab out of it. I know it's bc of online but Ima take your advice and PK next time fam... even though Lau's PK sucks, it leaves LAU at DISADVANTAGE /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

Chefboy: I loved those matches bro, I learned a lot. I had a feeling that you were trying stuff out so I started to test Lau's 46P+K and it was so satisfiying when it worked. Some fights I didn't even care if I lost the match as long as I connected at least one of those XD

lol @ overfiend. This was a good peice of comic relief in the middle of a hectic workday.

 

Personally, I would just /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif in hopes of getting a MC combo out of it, which happens a lot if you wait to use it for a frame or two. Plus, on hit they probably won't/can't really come after you, and on guard it moves you far enough away that they have to dash, and they won't do it 70% of the time even knowing it's coming.

GG to Motorcityjacky, Jorjo (you creamed my Aoi, and for good reason too, it's like I was moving in slow motion! I actually picked up some useful techniques from KingofVF4, so maybe next time. She's a work in prgress for me.) Kingofvf4, I'm pretty sure you have some hacks because even when I was trying to provoke you to use G cancels for a 0-frame throw, you STILL threw me way~ before I saw animation; you're too damn fast! ^_^ Really great matches.

As for kingo lol of course he has no hacks. That said, i sort of did a big campaign promoting him back home (it's a long story, you see we had just one Aoi player but he quit the game saying she's trash VF5 and that's it's impossible to win the game with her, which would be ok if it were just a guy but he's the one who set up virtuagreece.com and then went ton to create greekdojo.gr the country's only hub of beat em up fans so his opinion counts a lot, long story short, i had to prove somebody on the internets was wrong, lol, anyway) and my friends looked him up on XBL, got creamed by him as usual and started saying he must be <u>a robot</u> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif lol.

 

Oh, no, I wasn't seriously implying Kingo was a bot, he just really surprised/impressed me with the way he was able to manipulate Aoi when playing me. I actually sent him a PM expressing how he single handedly rekindled my enthusiasm for taking Aoi to that level just by playing him last night, and we played for a while.
