damn that tap punch into throw was pissing me off last night. For whatever reason there was no avoiding it, i new it was coming half the time and tried to mash p out of it, but at best i'd get a throw break, but half the time not even THAT would keep me from getting thrown. looks like you been uppin yur stagger covry, keep improving bro. nice games. haha, and then i won our one ranking match, that was the worst game i played of the night, fuck, i get so nervous in promotion/demotion matches, especially when its to reach a rank i've never had before.

 

Congrats on the rank even though I was using EL Blaze . I didn't realize that standing P into throw was that difficult. If someone is doing it to me i just fuzzy or 2P. It's never really an issue. Be careful of falling in love with low sweep kicks. It was starting to become predictable. Also mix up some throws, learn throw escapes, dodge more, fuzzy guard, and do an occasional evade offensive move.

You and Wasted Wish have totally different styles on how to use Lei Fei. Add everything I said above to Wasted Wish but you need to add more sweeps. Mixing up your games is a very important part of VF.
Examples.. 2 knock down grizzly lariats on wake up. Next time you wake up I can mid kick or low throw.
2nd Example.. Arm Throw into pick up, into another high impact throw. Next time I Arm Throw and pick up I might try DMPK throw or Shoulder... I just try to mix up styles so I can always keep you guessing.

If you or anyone else would like training on throw escapes or anything else just let me know. The better the players get the better the community will be.

lol, no doubt. thats why it was frustrating me. i was trying to duck, trying to 2p, trying to just mash punch to get out of it. But for whatever reason, lag/latency, idk, it was beating out all my options. On a couple of times it just broke the move, but even then my 2p or p should have beaten it outright.

Yeah, my games has been shit lately (thus the bad games shout out to myself). I just haven't been putting in anytime. playing one or two 30 minute sessions a wk doens't cut it. my flow charts are jacked, my move selection is too thin, all around, just like our parents told us as kids, IN OR OUT. Either i need to get in or i need to get out.

 

I am officially back and thanks to Sharp J7 and Dark Third Eye I was able to get my groove back quickly. They kicked my Pai around and by the time I faced Sharp J7 I was matching his Brad blow for blow, his brad is rock solid and did just about everything a good brad player should do. GG to all the other people I faced as well even though when I faced them I was really sucking and I was still getting my grove back.

Brisal - Ha! Seems like I can dish the "day job" but cant defend against it too well.

Social Ruin - I really appreciate the advice, Lei Fei tends to be one of my worst matchups so its good to get in a decent session against him.

Shaka Zula- I really hope you don't mind me joining your room all the time. You evade throw punish me a lot. Need to work on my ETEG if I'm gonna play you, plus that kick, crumple punch, into ddt...I hate that combo...ouch.

PantherNeo- Ouch with the counters. You are really really hard to get around. I was afraid to do moves against you because of those counters, but they were fun games.

Boide E: Pretty decent go-'rounds. Good fighting can be scarce in VF late nights.

ggs to carlito pablitz, has anyone given this akira user some pointers? He's good, but very one dimensional. It doesn't feel like he has "explored" the game very much, but uses canned setups regardless of results. Anyhow, he's decent and sometimes i stuck in patterns where he has just what he needs to be me.
gg to jason unrest. Kinda. He spams lions low double sweep. I dont know, that move fucks me up always. Very very annoying. Any good lion players on here willing to give me some player please?
Lastly, wha does it mean when ur rank bar is red or orange. Mine is red, and i wanna know if this means i will get xtra or lose xtra rank or what it means. Thanks guys.

 

That double sweep is why I just hate those Lion players...
Red bar means that you've lost many matches agains same rank players. The next one you'll lose against a same rank player, whatever your gauge level is, you'll get to lower rank.
Orange is the contrary : you'll move up if you win that match.

LOL! Tell'em fam! Defense to Brisal. He spams the move, but, only in disadvantage situations. And pretty random as well. Brisal is not stupid, he knows he'll get K+G if he runs it all the time. Unlike some people who rather DMP+K then block.

 

It's 2p man, not DM p+k. I got a few replays that show how immense starnab is with those 2p's but can't upload them /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Oh btw. Feel free to hate me. There's enough people on the live to play with if my "dmpk" pisses you off that much.
I haven't understand yet why you guys focuses on me that much. I might be retarded but I would have been thinking that picking someone else to play with would have been easier.

 

You could play the game anyway you want. Don't take other peoples comments so seriously. People have habits, and for fun, we poke at peoples tendencies. I see it as way to improve ones play style. Everyone here has patterns. Don't worry what people say. BTW, good sense of humor on your sig. Just mix it up a little Starnab. Play Brisal73(GT)to see what I mean.

 

Trust me, even the most respected players on line will 2p the crap out of you. Get them in unknown territory and youll see what they are made of.

As you might notice Shinobifist, there ARE people around here that are serious about that 2p thing or whatever you call that.
