GG to king of vf4 mainly and King of karnage but king of vf4's aoi is as tricky as ever and I felt I should have won more of the matches but you always found an answer for my offensive trick but aoi's defense just gets on my last nerve, it makes me wonder how I handled aois before without getting smashed so bad. Great aoi regardless you really helped me to get more of the rust off for not playing for a long time.

I usually leave you out because we know each other for about 20 years, but GGs to F1RE_FL00D. Very tricky offense.

Just out of curiosity what setups did I use that were new to you? I know two off hand that I never see anyone use - 1) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif then hoping for the upsidedown kick to hit so I can hop toward and use it as a rising kick crusher. 2) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif which then gives many different scenarios, either the BT punches which in turn gives either a two punch into BT throw or all three punches into automatic throw, or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif which is safe on block.

 

those setups sound nasty! I need to learn his setups so I can stop getting caught off guard by then.

I think you did 8G+K then instead of combo you jumped over me so you are back turn and i am head towards you. I was scared to get up since I new your moves would crush me or my WR attacks would wiff. Was that not intentional??

 

I'd like to do a late GG's to most of the folks I've played in the afternoon before my VF5 CD finally called it quits, apologies for those I dropped on as a result of that.

Damn...GG's to Jhow77 - I wanted to play more but my child woke up and i had to tend to her so. That last match was intense like a motherfucker.I really don't know when to punish Shun and thats bad on my behalf. I try to bait you into whiffing so i could punish a little and i end up paying for it. I must get to the dojo now and study the enigma called Shun lol!.

 

I will tell you the best moment of my VF sessions day. So I was playing Akira, and I was box stepping like crazy cause I felt like it. He asks, "How do you move so fast?"
"Just keeping playing the game, and it'll come to you," I say.
Then he asks, "Why, do I unlock it or something?"
And I busted a nut laughing my ass off.

Thanks for the pai mirror matches. I've got soooo far to go before i have her where i think she could compete on the same plane as my lei fei (actually i doubt i'll ever get her there), but for now she is a fun change of pace thats breathing new life into my desire to play. Look forward to having more matches as the time goes by.

 

Ahh, yes, I like to do that once and awhile. After /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif I will sometimes do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and then hop backwards over the lying down opponent. If you get up in place it usually results in getting up the wrong way. The best thing that can happen is someone getting up with a high rising kick and then I get guaranteed back throw (and 5 drinks). =)

Really that play style comes from playing a lot of VF3 and VF4 back in the day. Hopping used to be better in those games, particularly because even when faced the wrong way moves would still connect. I miss that but obviously Sega felt that was a broken aspect of the game and fixed it. Even though I agree it was fun to do.

One of the best wrong way tactics used to be with Shun's upside down kick. It had a very high chance of hitting even when faced the wrong way. So after knocking someone down you could turn around, hop backwards onto your hands, and wallah!

Or what about VF3 with Jacky - BT hop backwards with a kick and then flipkick, all facing the wrong way with the opponent behind you! =D

Wow, twice in the last week now I have played someone from VFDC that I feel is commonplace but I don't think we've played in ages. What I mean is I see you post very often, so I just assume I play you once in awhile. I might be wrong but I can't remember the last time we played.

Very good games however to you! You threw a curve at me because I kept waiting for you to come at me while I was drinking which is what 90% of people do. Even when I'd stop and advance slightly to bait you you wouldn't bite most the time. It definitely made me have to change my thinking a bit. Let's play again soon!

SMB, I hate typing on XBL because it doesn't like my mega typing speed, and skips many of my letters, so didn't say all I wanted to say. Your Lei mannerisms translate well into a unique Pai that was very unexpected. I was spamming 33 and 11 crouch-dashes to the (while standing) K to show you how you can really pull that move out of nowhere with little telegraphing. Esp if you buffer the crouch-dash in while blocking. We don't play with the mic so it was hard to communicate anything other than through interpretive dance! I'll polish up a sub and we'll see what happens sub versus sub. GGs

TheFeautcha, out of being completely sick of Pai after practicing something for hours with her, I dared to challenge your Akira with my own(?), at about 1:30AM. I was not surprised to lose, but was shocked at even taking a round or 2, so I went into dojo after your message, and started learning SPODs and whatever else you call his weird moves. Who knows... maybe you created a monster!

 

ggs to jaaaaaaamm. Man i don't enjoy fighting jacky, too many pokes. But they are good games and i don't get enough of those, so i'll keep playing.
ggs to shinn-akira. He's back but if u play him be ready for the experience...good and bad. Good=Beastly opponent. Bad=block his 2p and watch his next 2p beat yours, however that happens. Haha, get hime while he's weakened, before all his moves have priority.

We played rank games a few weeks ago like about 4 of them. I know Shun can strike during his drinking and thats a bait also lol! I'll let you drink away for a little bit because some people tend to get over aggresive because the liquors in the system and charge lol!. I just know once you get to that limit My defense has to be better than it was because the oppontunitites will arrive. I tried to send you a friend request but you list was full.
