Jake I must say I'm surprised at how far you've come considering you haven't really played any VF since 3. I'm not surprised however considering you were always top tier in any fighting game you played.

Yah, if you master your throw game it would be scary. You almost don't need to change anything since your offense is so good, but the added element of throwing will no doubt help. Plus it will also add to your anticipation of being thrown.

Thanks for the comment about my style. I have always tried to play Shun like you said, a true Drunken Master. I love situations where I can use seemingly useless moves in order to make an opponent's attack miss. Often times this will leave me at a stalemate or even slight disadvantage but it helps add confusion and not being able to guess what will come next.

There are even a few situations where I purposely whiff an attack, knowing that the opponent will quick roll, and they try and attack but I have priority for my next move (low kick). =)

Sorry for the belated mention to bad seed but I was playing someone else in a ranking match at that time.

By the way GGs to SilentNephilim's Aoi, Cadorna's Vanessa, and Pleportamee's Lau. I hadn't seen an aggressive like SilentNephilim's since I fought Kingo's Aoi, it was different from most of the aois I faced in the past recently. Pleportamee's Lau was the first good Lau I faced in many months so if I sucked against it don't be suprised, most Laus played online aren't played very well and I don't know when I will see another good Lau. I was shocked I played so well against your Vanessa Cadorna, being a Vanessa player myself it kind of helps to but the games were fun regardless.

 

Top effort to PeleliuCorner, for sticking it out in ranked for absolutely yonks. Real interminable spirit. That means he lost loads.

Defintely a force to be reckoned with. Our marathon has drained me and I need to recharge now. This cat brings epic battles(conan music playing) to the table and his command input is like watching the chinese acrobats. I feel I have alot to learn from his play style and can accel beyond my current level(wall). Thankyou! Cya soon.

Slide(Jacky)-
Back N forth 3 set to 3 set then 1 to 1. Sometimes I felt I lost my marbles and faith in van and others I was dead on. I need to really concentrate and stick to my 2nd character regardless of the outcome. Thanks for the beatdowns.

Ol Skewl(Aoi)-
I think the talk we had about your aoi payed off dramatcially. You seem to advance fast as long as you see it once and know the properties/flowchart/adv/disadv. Mixing it up well now and please be more aggressive with her, because she certainly has all the tools to back up what a impatient player might give you. Good stuff and lets get more games in soon.

Thanks man /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif need mad work on my defense and decision making but i'm on my way hopefully. Took alot of beatings and hours of playing.

VF3?? Did they have that at picadilly? Don't really remember seeing/playing that game. My main memory of VF at the arcade was VF2, mostly remember the moon gravity jumps kicking on the way up and one on the way down (lol that was so funny) and doing them bufferd dblplms. But hek that was like 13 years ago so I wouldn't count out the fact that I simply don't remember.. Ahh the good ol days of doing food runs for tokens.

Anyways, I could yap with ya for hours, write a short story n all that about now and back then lol.

So yea man, invite me whenever if you see me floating around the menu or in the Dojo for a few games or a session if you don't have any matches to rank up on. Only time I won't accept right away is if i'm in the middle of having a bunch of matches with someone (you know how that goes).

I don't know how you deal with the ranked matches man, I'd like to play em but the first time I was in a promotion match for 3rd Dan, me and the other player got dropped only to find my bar reset all the way! I said f** this sh**, if that happend if I was past Master or even on high Dan that would suck the VF life outa me for like a week.

It was a good while ago I played ya and forgot to mention it but I remember the games, was awesome Boyd (YEAH BABY!). Seemed like you where hardly trying and you really started to kick my ass in the 2nd half (I guess you could call it) of the session. Looking foward to more games wicha too. If I remember right the connection wasn't too bad at all with you and Jesse wich is awesome that we can play each other, I usually throw some jabs at the end of the round to see how much delay there is but I kinda forgot that part lol. I know it wasn't bad though, at least on my end. Invite me again for a few games anytime too man.

And MP stop being so apologetic! You gave me a good run! Be confident young Paduan lol... but really, you are a good promising player, and I always enjoy our games!

 

yeah i started to play wolf a lot over the summer, i studied his combos and flow charts, i feel i got a better grasp of him then any my other chars. although he still needs much work /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif (throw escapes and crouch throws!! arghhh)
