If we want to find out who mrs rambo is, heres what we do. none of us ever mention the name in GGs or Bgs agains. someone is settin out there having a hell of a time reading all this speculation. If we ignore them, they'll come forward to recieve some credit.

Or we should at least wait until they a master or +

L A Akira. I really enjoyed playing your Jacky. Txt book, but i mean that in a good way. You used pokes at a distance and an economy of effort. I, on the other hand, was flailing around like a fat kid who thinks he's drowning in a 4 ft pool. I've decided that i whiff more attacks, or throw out more completely retarded whiffs than any other master or + level player in the game. sometimes i'll do some retarded move from halfway across the screen, watch mysefl get smashed, and just scratch my head and wonder about myself. That and my stance change is slop. either my fingers are failing me or my controller /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif prolly fingers.
wait a minute, i'm getting off track. the point was that those were a great fun games. Back and forth, nearly a session on Ranked. don't usually get that. I appreciate you coming back over and over, you at 70 me at 74, both of us dropping our win% but having a good time. thats what its about.

Yup, I was keeping track!!! Not because I care so much...eh OK I care a little... but also I can't help but to notice my win loss ratio against another player, especially when I just played that person like an hour or two ago.

At first I would win 2, then you would win 1.(this went on a couple times) Then I went on a streak of 4, and you took it back with 1. Then I went on a streak of 6 and then you took it back with one. At the end you put me back down to about a 2 to 1 win ratio.

Almost every single match against you was tough and very close, so I would for sure say that in that regard we were dead-even. You're the type of player that I know the match could go either way when we play.

 

That was just what I meant man, I was talking about the overall picture. Wins and losses overall didn't matter when we were playing because as you said anyone of us could win any match against each other at any time. It feel it is great to have a fairly equal match up overall. I have been dabbling with Lau myself lately alittle, I have really been thinking of having him as my first real male character but I haven't decided fully just yet.

You don't have to quit using Akira. because Vanessa is one of strong characters, you feel comfortable with her. all her moves are Almost no risk, and can get middle damages, right? what you need is that not only to guess your opponent's moves more carefully, but also change your play style to fit with the opponent.

sooner or later, you would get back to Akira when you play R since Vanessa is not easy to use as you can now. I don't think it is a good idea to change your main character. well, I understand what you feel. I feel that I can play americans much easier with my Lau than when I use Jacky because Lau is way good.
choice is yours though.

oh by the way, I played that Vanessa as well. He is pretty good. He sent me a message that he wants to learn to step like I do.

Don't worry man we are still trying to get ghettoSHUN to come back man. It's just that he has preoccupied himself with a lot of personal things and overall he just doesn't like the direction VF went in with 5. R is a different story, while he doesn't like the crazy high damage combo he does think it is pretty damn hot, so who knows maybe we will see a return from him if & when R gets released. I guess time will tell!

 

Thanks for the encouragement... I don't think I will ever completely give up Akira, but just thinking about other options to relearn the system. I think the problem I am having is that I never really took the time out to understand the VF5 system. I was riding on just my VF4 skills all this time and have finally opened my eyes that I am just behind and everyone understands what's going on better than I do. My Akira is already tainted and pretty damn hard to change under these circumstances. I was thinking by starting from the ground up with another character might give me a better chance at learning just how VF5 ticks, which will eventually help me stop being on the wrong end of a guess so much when I use Akira.

I feel the same way about Shun. He kind of ruined my fundamentals for VF, and I too feel I never learned the VF5 system properly. When I play Jacky (which is rare) I feel all of the old school tactics that made me so good at VF2 and VF3. With Shun I completely get rid of my mid attack mindset. I forgot how fun it is to have that option at my arsenal, ala Jacky's elbow.

R will definitely change everything though. Ever since VF3 I've always wondered why Shun couldn't lie down after any of his moves that left him on the ground. I soooo can't wait to utilize some of them, especially lying down after the flying headbutt or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif!

 

With how strong you are it blows me away to hear you say this!!! i can sorta understand jhow saying it, b/c he uses shun and shun=abare magic (i use lei, so same thing) but you seem so solid and don't waste any moves/time/or energy against me.
We really need to play again, last time i was struggling like heck to win a rd here and there, i'd like to see if i've progressed any. maybe i could even win 1 rd a fight now!

I was almost demoted to 5th dan thanks to a certain person that will remain nameless but I don't care. I managed to get to all the rank back and I am not all that far away from 7th dan. Aside from that GGs to all the people I faced today even the guy that ranked up and nearly demoted me as well.

Lau is pretty easy to use. We should do mirror matches some time.

 

Next time we play, you have to make sure you do that stepping! I planned to save a match to see the inputs you do for that stepping but every match i've saved you don't do it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

 

Divinespirite thanks for the morning VF session, Lion's suits my VF mentality well. There's lots of safe poke attacks i can fuzzy out of if needed.

Social Ruin, you abare like a mother fucker /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif You're the type that'd rather evade than guard or fuzzy. That's cool, but look out for moves that leave you suspectible to throws. Two moves that I knew to throw you afterwards were /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and bokutai /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. If I guarded these moves you would always go for an evade and I'd throw you. If you executed throw escapes during your evades, it'd be pretty sweet. I was upset that I kept getting CH with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif after a whiffed /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. Or when i bokutai under your /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and get hit with a cr. s from the following /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. lol you know after your /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif im gonna get CH mid kick you but you kept coming like a madman. Try to find attacks that you keep getting hit out of and try to guard instead of abaring so much. And sweep is disadvantage ON HIT lol.

Ggs to dblax20 its too bad you dropping the game for a while. I kept using fuzzy on you only because I realized you'd keep throwing me. You showed me alot of Brad moves I've never seen before. Remember after Brad's low sweep gets guarded it's essential to input throw escapes. Brad's sweep is a perfect attack to practice capitalizing upon after guarding the attack. Shang said it. Flash kicks are unfair. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif I'm coming closer and closer to doing them as i please, both the side shuffle and the regular one.

lol, coz. I didnt even know i was going abare really. : ) I was just using what was working best vs you. yeah, man i need to spend a saturday/sunday in the dojo and make throw escape part of the button input for certain moves. Well, there was some method to my madness (madmanness), i realized u were doing mid k counter ->throw attempt consistently, so for a turn i escaped then i baited a couple 9kg throw counters, but ultimately, giving ch and adv to punish an anticipated throw isn't a good strat. I'll be damned if i didn't want some pp mixup too. As far as abare, shit man, i had to do something ur offense is strong. If i stand around defending u flood right over me so i was trying to overwhelm u....eh, some success. Plus it was the best i done against u yet (in our limited play history). Ironically the biggest thing i took from playing u was the power of an abare 466pk after almost any move--effectively chasing ur opponent off of his fastest frame p, lol. that was nasty. 2p_6p p is a bad habit. I need to quit being lazy and 336p, and watch my game improve instantly.
ggs blahzie, this guy is a p sway p sway duck dodge p k whatever it is brad does machine. Brad is a trip. I do abare a lot and that results in every move is a head collapse towards. Brutal. Oh well. I'll just keep improving my game.
ggs to the peeps who've given me good games but i didn't play sessions with. U know who u are. I really don't like to shout ggs for 2 games generally, seems kinda pointless.
