ggs pleportamee. ur lau is coming back around. i had 2 work aloy harder than last time. Plus u hesitated a lot less. Lol @ attacking doku and getting reversed. I was being lazy and just standing in it and u would OM p, or ppp. It happens. ggs.

 

GGs to the few people I played today. I would have played more but I quit playing ranking officially now and just look for some fun player matches since ranking is pointless from now on as far as I am concerned.

Erdraug- Our Pai vs Vanessa was classic and I was shocked that it was so close the whole way. I had played a few good Vanessas before with my pai recently and I wasn't all that shocked at what you were doing. The timing of my breakouts from the grapple is so off that I just don't know if I will break out of the tackle ever again. I know how to do it but I have to work on the timing though. The last match as awesome though I just wonder though how did your OS DMPK missed in the final round if it hit you would have won. You play the type of vanessa I want to play an offensive minded abare style vanessa and I will look to learn from the match so I can have a solid vanessa like yours.

Rare Essense- Your Blaze always rips me up I don't know to handle him. I don't face very many decent el blazes period. One of these days I will finally figure you out. 1 thing I do know is that really good blazes and the counter hits he has always tear me up just like eileen's used to but I adjusted to her counter hits pretty good. I hope to see you next time.

 

Its because one day I know my punch will be too powerful for the auto counter stance!! LOL

Shadowmaster i'm not that abare <u>from DS</u>, i do keep pressuring after doing OS f+p,pkg but i'm at +1 on block after all, same goes for a blocked DS b,f+k,p - otherwise i do tend to favour /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b_.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif from DS and you punished me for it with a great number of dash-in throws. Speaking of punishing, I was appalled however when you didn't punish OS f,f+k,p with pai's p,k - you play vanessa you should know i'm at -11! I went for evade p+k after you blocked and nailed you each time. Also you should punish blocked DS /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/ /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif with p,k because one of those is only at -11. But yes, i do tend to abare <u>from OS</u> with evade lancer - boy will i miss this move in VF5R! Maybe mix in some low throws against my OS? Although i'd rather play your vanessa against my lion next time /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Thanks the comments, the games were great but I was tardy to do pai's p,k because I wasn't sure how you would react to it I will take your advise. I never had anyone actually give me any real indepth analysis of my game and in the past punishing people was something I wasn't doing enough and it kept me from winning vital matches in ranking and player matches. I feel have improved on that since those days when I was purely a defensive minded pai player obviously there is still some work to be done but I will get there.

Is lion your secondary don't be shocked that I lose badly, my vanessa is still too raw right now not like your vanessa. I will gladly see you besides I don't see very many good Lions then again the last I faced 1 it was Bad Seed and he left me shaking my head the whole fight.

Punishing Soul. Nice player session, it constituted 100% of my VF last night, glad i was able to get some games in with you. haha, about time we both start picking up a sub. That was some of the best oki i've seen with lion, lol, or maybe i was being retardedly simple in my wakeup game, but i think it was your oki, mixed it up beautifully. I was struggling to try and play less abare, since thats the buzzword for "bad defense" nowadays. so there were alot of times i'd usually evade and throw, or try and interrupt with 1kk, or some similiar move, but last night i was staying the course and blcoking, or at least trying to.

 

lol, abare is the new "dirty word". It's like it's used as codespeak for, "even though u win more than me, i'm still better than u". Funny thing is, if someone is complaining about ur abare, doesnt that usually mean their defense wasn't good enough to stop it? So they are saying it to criticize ur defense, but it's annoying cause their defense can't stop it.

 

people do def use abare as a dirty word. I think it's fine to be abare long as you know when to do so.

I remember last time you straight destroyed me and I thought about just breaking the disc in half, but I guess either I'm getting better or you just had pity on me because of the last time we played. I notice you didn't low throw me when I rolled on wake up as much as you did before, but they were still great games!! Thanks for the session. We gotta get another one in soon

Panther NeoGeo- When I first saw you join my room, my first thought was "watch out for reversals" Too bad that didn't help me because you reversed the shit out of me the first few matches. I was like damn! I don't even think I can walk without getting reversed, but that just goes to show how linear I was playing and how many open mids I was throwing at you. Probably making it way too easy for you, so good stuff with that. I was glad to be able to vary it and get some stuff in, but your kind of Aoi scares me...seriously. I'm afraid to do anything. I need more practice against you, so let's have more matches soon.

Ced H Tone- Good shun man. Don't even know if you even get on this site, but I'm giving a good games anywayz. It was a good session with close matches all the time.

It goes both ways man, when I throw a lot of stuff constantly I end up paying for it. Doesn't help that I go on auto-pilot the majority of the time. Red Son Rising, I've been slowly learning Vanessa's frames. I used to think she didn't have to hit check her sabaki attack > club fists. That'd be really cheap.

HappyFriend is back! The first match you were doing some strange stuff but you started getting funkier as more matches passed.

Blazhie I thought Brad's ducking pp was at most -8 on guardbut that shizz is totally throw guaranteed! I realized after I kept getting those free throws.

 

shadowmaster /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > throw set-ups aren't the best because a fuzzy guarder like me will 9/10 duck under the throw attempt. Focus on getting guaranteed punishment after you guard Sarah's Dragon Cannon, which leaves her at high disadvantage; I kept being able to evade after I realized you weren't attempting to throw me. I know Vanessa has (2?) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif directional throws, I'll probably never escape them without forcing myself to. The last kick in Sarah's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is special high, meaning that if you attempt a low attack to counter it (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif), it'll connect regardless. lol and dont use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif on me.

 

I really noticed you love that pop up too and I don't see sarahs that really use it as much as you do knowing just how dangerous it is if it misses. I don't rely on the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif but I mix it in every so often, you were hit by it a few times there and I did notice it. Jumping over my head to get from behind expecting me to do recovery kicks to get a free pop up my pai feasts on that I wouldn't ever fall for that trick very often. One thing is certain You do more back turned attacks with sarah I see most people do interesting tactic. My Vanessa is a very rough diamond so the speak and is slowing developing but I don't see very good sarahs so i don't really see all the little tricks with the flamingo stance enough to know how to guard against all of it. I don't know how to time my /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif because of it to counter your attacks off of it but that will when I see sarah soon enough.

ggs to everyone I played this week. unfortunately my xbox died thursday night (1 red light and e74 message), it's still under warranty so i'm sending it off on monday (the website said it'll take 2-3 weeks tho). dblax20- Good session we had yesterday man! You're brad is pretty tough, and hard to get around. You use your evades pretty good. A lot of times when I would evade and was just sure I was gonna land something, you would evade out of nowhere and nail me. Once you get started, it's hard to stop you. anytime you want some matches man, just let me know and I'm game.

Oh and Carolinapanther, I didn't mean to put you into any kind of category or anything. I'm not trying to minimize your skills in any way, cuz I know you've got some mad skills. I just know that you're going to make full use of her reversals which is good, cuz I would too if I knew how to play her. Sorry if it came out the wrong way.

 

It's cool 'Diddy. I should've telegraphed somehow that I was joking in that last reply I'm used to being known as reversal happy /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif It isn't my foundation but close. Still working on a proper defensive game but it's good to be unique sometimes. Being in the stereotypical character mold doesn't really work with me Defense and working through the different levels of lag are my priorities at this point. See ya around.

GG erdraug, it sucks I can't punish vanessa sweep online, I wonder why online, punishing standing moves works like offline, but punishing an unsafe crouch moves like sweep seems impossible.

Kingo you are not the first to observe that it's hard to punish her sweep online so i'm wondering, maybe the move is not at -18 on block like the command list says? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

The same goes for her BT sweep, i feel it's not -15 on block, the move seems safe to me.
