ggs to panther neogeo. It's funny how the threat of reversal is greater than the danger of the reversal. If it wasn't for my oki game, i may have came out behind. I know i'll need to bring it stronger next time.
Dabadseed, i need to play your omniprescient ass again. So u can counter all my moves before i do them, and throw down streaks of 10-15 to my every 2 or 3 wins. I need a good thrashing every once in a while to remind me i'm not any good : )
And SMB is pai...idk. With ur setups i thought u COULD beat decent players.
almost forgot, ggs to lavezz, or whatever ur name is. Nice Kage. I was getting mad : ) Whiff, and TFT for the win. (disclaimer:not ringout TFT, just TFT). I hate losing to kage. I'm always thinking, he isn't even really a ninja.

Konjou Akira: I'm not holding out on purpose : P ! I'm passed the point where I have to copy other players just to learn the other characters, so I just come up some stuff on my own. I'm probably missing stuff with Pai, I should check into that! There's some defensive stuff I use sometimes that I haven't really seen mentioned on here. The only useful one though is fuzzy guard eteg, which beats just about everything but the timing is difficult and if you block an attack after the fuzzy you get a failed evade most of the time. Oh, and I hate Kage's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, I'm no good at guessing without having my sabaki's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif .

TonyFamilia: You have improved alot man, I see you've been working on that defense as well. Keep it up man! I was cracking up at you're some of your commentary during the matches, I gotta stop breaking mics : /.

AkiraZero: Hope you didn't mind me stealing from your Akira during those mirror matches. You gotta watch those patterns though, if you break some those habits and focused more on adapting and reading your opponent, you'd be really tough to win against. "Empty your mind, be formless. Rare Entity: Very fun games, I had to start focusing when you El Blaze crip-walked my corpse.

Ughil: GGs, you probably shouldn't back walk to the edge of the ring against Akira. I already know El Blazes /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif put me behind him : P.

Lol, that sounded almost more like a BG post. haha. GGs to you shad, nice to finally play you. Granted i'll admit i don't use pai's entire repetoir at all, i have a limited selection of moves that i use very effectively (i'd like to think). Really don't have too much trouble beating good people with those set ups, i jumped right to master and willing that i find some 10th dans can maybe get warrior in 1 months time, idk.
I generally will break out some more options if i have to, but as long as i am winning i stick to my nuts and bolts, so i keep some trump cards for when/if i need them. So as long as i am not losing my opponent will get more than a healthy dosing of swallow kicks and other more simple tactics. I see that TONY and I both told you to be more aggressive. lol, BE MORE AGGRESSIVE. Seriously, my rush down is part of why i am so affective, I get right into my opponents grill and never let up win or lose. I think TFam would attest to the strength of this from our session last night. It can be a very effective way to play with pai.

Blacula: you brads are killling me with all those damn mids. nice set, you are stronger than I anticipated. It was nice to play another good bradley burnstein. Again, chill with the after round attacks, not needed in a friendly game of player, it was irritating me, lol. I think people do that to me b/c they get tired of eating yip kicks, but at least i do those DURING THE MATCH. either way it was fun, and i look forward to mixing it up again.

TFAM: 1st, we definitely gotta play more.
GGs man. I expected taht Brad to straight beast me after reading all the love you been getting, glad to say my sweet innocent little pai held her own and through in an extra yip kick to boot. hahaha. I think you started letting it go at the end and getting stronger while i started sliding down the good-o-meter as I was feeling guilty for playing into my sleep time. Hmm, just one more and then i'll quit, well maybe one more, okay last one. You had some nice stuff, but I do have a few suggestions.

BTW, quick question. I gave myself your endorsement of my rushdown (primarily oki game), lol, very nice of me. How did you feel about it? Troublesome? One Dimensional? Beastly but then you started getting the hang of it? Just curious, b/c it feels strong to me, altho i know i need more throws mixed in, wondering how it feels on the other end of things.

good stuff Social, it had been a while since I got back to the VF (SSTHD taking up most of my time ). Still got those habits, and I saw you weren't going to fall for ANY of my old set-ups but being the stubborn bastard I was I tried to use them anyway -_-

Props to the other guys I played also, I haven't been playing VF5 much due to the current deadness of it and frickin' Street Fighter (as many issues as I have with THAT game). I'll try to get some matches with y'all when I can.

Fuzzy ETEG is a awesome technique and has been around since VF4. Yosuke uses this alot actually... Especially against my Akira /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif bastard! You have excellent input command skills so I think you should stick with it... I'm sure you will get it down pat.

I should've /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif *snaps fingers* I'm pretty sure it was because of the lag but I thought about quitting early but instead I stayed and played because I need all the good Lei practice I can get. You're good with so many characters, I don't know how you do it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif I'm going to try to play with Lei, at least in Dojo and Quest and learn him more, then maybe I can give you a better fight /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif

GGs Shadowmaster, I had never played you before so I don't know your style much, just thought I'd tell you about being more aggressive because you were too passive, imho, but please don't take offense, I could just say GGs and just leave it at that and so could other people but I hope that taking the time out to write you some advice doesn't get taken in a bad way when it's actually a very good thing when other players take the time to point things out to you. It can be taken in bad way OR you could find a way to use criticism, specially when it's constructive[/size].
I know that a lot of people tend to not do too much against characters like Brad or Lau because they take so much life when you make a mistake but you should also try to disrupt my flows a little more. Safely, of course.

SMB, what can I say about you that you haven't said about you yourself? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif I would toot your horn but you tooted it pretty loudly already /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Lol, just kidding bro, seriously, I liked what I saw last night. Your style is even more abare with Pai BUT (before anybody cries foul about abare being a bad word) it is a VERY GOOD ABARE. It's smart, it puts a lot of pressure and you know how to deal with a lot of different scenarios to counter counters. I'm trying to get as good at reading people as Adam (I'm nowhere near that yet) but you were mixing it up very well so it was harder to read. It took me more than 5 close matches to start to figure you out better and that's a lot. Good thing you left when I started heating up bc if I would've got on fire I would've been wired the entire night and wouldn't have wanted to go to sleep.
GGs man, I know that you're not going to let my or anybody else's criticism get you down but I hope that you find a way to use it to your advantage. I'll be replying to your PM later with some suggestions of my own /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

GGs Blackula, I like how when I made you aware of when you were using DMP+K you kinda stopped doing it during those times. You're def a good fighter but, imho, your playstyle is more focused on whatever it takes to win instead of technique and exploring and experimenting. I noticed just how focused you were on winning when you were talking about #'s of wins on this guy or that guy and how you would stop talking after losing a round even though all we could do is play casual because of the bad lag between us. I know you can do better than some of the stuff you do, like DMP+K when you've got advantage. As a Brad-brother I can tell that you can come up with some really impressive tactics and setups but focusing on only winning will reduce you to using less moves and limit your creativity. I know creativity and expanding your repertoire of moves doesn't always win games but it can help you in the long run when you encounter an experienced player that figures out your skill-set and when you go to switch it up you'll be trying out flowcharts that haven't been fully tested and/or vetted yet because you stuck to what worked most of the time. Feel me?
That said, I would really like to play you offline in some Tekken and VF. We could exchange a lot of of Muay Thai tactics, not to mention knees and elbows /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I know you're asking Tony, and I've got an answer anyway... It depends on what you evaded and how much advantage you have (or don't have).

If you evade /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, you're likely at a disadvantage. If you evaded Akira's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, you're at huge advantage and you can do a big damage mC combo.

 

Hmmmmmmmmm. So depending on what I evaded, I'd probably get a launcher, say Brad's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif?

There are a lot of good Lei players actually, but the thing is that I suggest you to do all his moves by yourself. The reason why I learned Lei just because I couldn't beat him, and had no idea why I lost.....
You did something very awesome last night!!! And I got stuck on that moment coz I felt something was wrong and I had to block, but it turned out you throw me fucker!!
