GGs to everyone that I've played over the last week or so.

Ughil - Thanks a lot for the games. I always need help with Brad and any advice you want to pass along my way would be much appreciated.. I read your post about developing defense instead of relying on offense, and I'm right there with you.

Cody Hunter 07 - It was 2 days ago, but I know we had some epic battles.

Lothlorian - Also got a pretty good sesh in with you.

AfricanMadman - What is with this guy? Can anyone else get him to play games with them?

- Evading without using DM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is a very important skill. I find it helpful to go into it with a plan in mind. If I feel like the evade is going to be successful, I generally plan on doing something like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and punishing the whiff. If that gets predictable you can, evade and guard, evade cancel and go into movement, etc. There's a lot of options that don't involve /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif..

- Heh, it took a little while for you to wise up to the reversals, but once you did you noticed that you'd catch me out a few times when I guessed incorrectly. You only have to hit people with a few successful reversals before they start to freeze up and get more predictable when you have them on the ground. I had to adjust my yomi (is that usage correct?) greatly once you were doing more than just rising kicks. The more techniques the opponent is doing, the greater the number of options I have to hold in my head and think about throughout the match.

I took the vf4 evo challenge and beat him w/o throwing. In the 3rd round he r/o himself. If he asks me to stop guarding I just might consider it, but it's gonna have to stop there. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Don't feel bad Tony...I got a hate message from Patpoman too. Only for me, he complained that I was a noob for using only one move! I kept hitting him with Jacky's heel drop kick(b, k+g) everytime he got up and whiffed a rising attack lol.

Those were fun games, Had to change it up after a couple though because what I was doing wasnt working very well.

Good games to all the people I faced today especially Third Dark Eye, Contraband850, and Kamais Ookin. Third Dark Eye saved me from being demoted on 2 different occasions one with his Vanessa the other with his Lion, great games regardless hopefully I won't be in a situation where I am on the verge of demotion the next time. Contraband850 you may be kyu ranked but you played a great blaze, you had me going the first time and I barely won the second match, you should be ranked higher than me. Kamais Ookin's jeff and his knee drove me nuts and he mixed me up so well that I couldn't catch it even if I knew it was coming, it was great though I really needed practice against a good jeffrey and I got it with him great match.

By they way have you heard of a 8th dan ranked aoi named vf noobi and she was played very well too. I thought it was so funny to fight someone with that name. Sorry about not excepting your match request numbers I had to go to work. hopefully I won't be occupied the next time.

 

GGs to drfamilia. Brad messes with me man, all the ducking and swaying just makes it feel like Brad is at advantage permanently lol. Maybe it all just puts a seconds hesitation in me so it does turn into an advantage, who knows. Great games man! Capped a few vids that'll be up sometime tonight.

GGs to VFNumbers - Nice to see you again! Great mixups with Lei, aesthetically pleasing to watch and play against!. Ascetic monk versus Plastic Shiny Brad.

 

I played vf noob and dominated straight up 2 rds and was like i got this joker on lockdown, then i went retarded and ended up losing. Played around too much then forced and choked and lost, lol, i will get revenge, good solid aoi to be sure.

GGs: Numbers, social ruin, you know everyone, haha, i have no idea who all i have played over the days and days and days since i was last able to post.

GGs: Gentleman Theif. Well buddy, damn. I thot i had some nice stuff going, and i did, but your stuff is always nicer. Appreciate the advice, i just didn't think that 336p would work against you, it works wonders against lesser talent, but i don't see it working against you. If i could go back and do it again, I'd have just put away the yip kick, it did nothin against you. It eats up lots of really good comp, but did not phase you. I got it in for one yip yip, doulbe yip, but other than that it cost me dearly. You sabaki'd it soo much, and i was suprised how easily you were able to evade it on stand up and even om k....most can't seem to do that.

For once i wont the om battle, haha, it was the one/tenth the match i won, the rest was you. Lets player it up again sometime soon /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Just want to thank everyone who played me recently, especially 'Familia. Tried to get some games with you Cadorna but you were taken...twice.

 

Good games to all the people I faced today good and bad except for the person I mentioned in BGs. I want to especially thank Krye NL for his incite on my game but the holes I leave behind are something I am willing to create to be more aggressive and not simply letting people take advantage of my natural defensive talents. I will take what you say in earnest but unless I take some real chances I won't get any better.`

By the way I still want to know Shun can avoid a charged K after 3P and not get hit by it without sidestepping it, blocking it, or trying to sakabi it. I bothered me the whole evening after it happened and it might have taken away from my focus. I don't know if it was a glitch or some property of Shun that lets him avoid it at point blank range. Oh well.

erdaug: My reversals hurt? I thought I'd be eating LESS blows than when I had Wolf, oh well -_- Some of those matches I was thankful just getting hits in period. At least it wasn't boring. Much appreciated.

 

You are underestimating yourself, you spotted my two bad habits and you punished me for them dearly: after DS /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif CH i go for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and you reversed it almost every time! Same goes for my habit of OS /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif hit > elbow. Trust me, having to second guess whether i should go for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif instead is very demoralising.

Attack291 was indeed fun to play! I stumbled upon him while taking out my jeff for a spin and i think we both amazed each other with some throw escaping sprees /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif It wouldn't surprise me if he were a veteran VF player.
