My bro: We didn't quite hit every charactar on the roster, but it was close. Culminating in some sloppy main on main action. I hope you don't miss the yip kick too much while i'm in alaska (b4 i get hooked back up online)

Good games to all the people I used to destroy not so long ago and are now using me as a punching bag. You know who you are, bastards...

I think I reached my ceiling three months after the release of the game and that's where I got stuck since then...old age doesn't help getting better at games I think...

GG's bro... don't let my opinion make you change your game. You have a really solid game that gets the job done. I only gave you my feed back because you asked. The reason I said you might want to not do that so much is because if your opponent figures it out and lets say it's Jeffry he is going to take 100 damage from you all the time by simply getting an advantage followed by knee kick. No one likes loosing 100pts of damage, so just try to hide that tendency a little.

Drfamilia. GG's. wasn't sure if you were playing half the time because you would just stand there and block for almost the whole round.

Happy friend 76. thanks for playing me so long. I have so many problems vs Jeffry. And my Vanessa still is shaky so it was a bad combination for me. But it help.

does anyone know when the new sf4 hori's are coming out? My vf hori doesn't work anymore and although pad is alright you just can't move the way you can on a hori.

Yes, Konjou, please blog again. I learned so much from the things you wrote. I don't know how much help I can be with feedback since I'm not that good but my observational skills for VF have improved (now if only my reaction skills would follow suit) so maybe I can return the favor. Thanks to your advice and willingness to share a lot of us here have stepped our game up one way or another. Truly wish every VF player was like you and not scared to share bc they don't want to lose XD

GGs Mista Tee, sorry about just watching you in some of those rounds, I've been sort of studying Vane as of late. I don't know if you know this but if you really wanted to, you coulda shut me down the whole night. Brad doesn't have a double-limbed attack so it's just a matter of guessing correctly with your sabakis and all I can do is try to confuse you. GGs Plague, auto-pilot ftl /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif You def lulled me into a watch mode with your slick-looking Aki. Good stuff man, thanks for reminding me about auto-pilot, it def got each one of us killed when we stopped thinking.

GGs BlackLac, awesome Vane training. You know frames way too well. I can't front, I hate it when both of our health bars are almost gone and you start doing the backwalk/sidekick Vane special /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif but I do have to learn how to deal with all of those styles you got if I want to get better.

GGs Izuna Otoshi, yet another Vane player. Fun matches to everybody I played.

 

Good games to Methylidene and captain Bodybag. Captain bodybag played a good aggressive wolf but was way too vocal on the mic. I heard him clearly through my TV speakers the whole way. I have played Methylidene's sarah so much lately that I should be sick of it but I love it, I used far too many low attacks against his sarah though and he knew it. I will have to wise up faster but it was great the whole way.

I would have played Izuna Otoshi myself but I was having so much fun playing Methylidene's Sarah. I couldn't stop it early because I was having so much fun. Sorry dude, beside I will have get my Vanessa back in the dojo before I face Izuna again to remind myself of a few things I was working on before I started to focus on Ranking matches recently.

 

Konjou, I'm totally down with the idea of you blogging again. I also learned a lot from both you and Leonard's blogs, and you both inspired me to start writing out my own thoughts while playing through with Brad. Even if the blog is only limited to your character(s) of choice, there is still much to be learned from reading about the process someone else is going through as they learn. On Konjou's tip, I'm also always looking for new things to write about, so please, anyone with questions, post them somewhere (sounds like a post to support this).

Anyhow, on to the topic of GGs:

You're my standby! We always have a good games, and the lag is acceptable. Nice to play another Canuck! Good El Blaze, and work on the things we talked about. Chief Flash gets credit for the advice on just laying prone after getting knocked down. In either case, it's a great exercise to train yourself to just guard, or just lay prone after being at finishing a string leaving you at disadvantage or being knocked to the ground. You'll surprise yourself and your opponent.

My sarcastic US brethren. I don't have a mic right now, but I'm sure you're chewing a piece off of me every time I try to evade when I shouldn't or when I jab my way out of your setups. Still, nice to get back into it with you - PM me any advice you've got for me, or post it in this forum. Your help has been great, and if you've noticed any improvement at all in my game, you deserve some of the credit.

yeah i thought that might be why you were doing that. But the moment I noticed you became a spectator I decided not to show any of my normal strats so that you would think the wrong thing when I go for them. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif I really don't know anything about brad. so i wasn't sure when and where to place my sabakis. But I did take the time today to study brad and his loops so I could be a little bit ready for u next time.

Gentleman thief. I missed playing you. You have reawaken my spirt to use Sarah full throttle again. U won most of our matches but I think they were really good. it seem like every time someone would comeback and steal a win.

Cadorna. Wow you really had me for the first several matches. I was like what the heck am I doing wrong. but luckily I found a way to turn the tables on you. Fun matches. you have given me things to think about with Vanessa.

social ruin. I was only going to play you for like 15mins but it ended up to be for two hours. GG's. you had me on the ropes quite a bit. but I am starting to figure out an effective strat vs Lei,for Vanessa thanks to you. I still have a lot of work to do though.

GGs to Tee & Plague for laying the law down all the way from another coast

 

wowm mistah tee. We have had a couple of really good sessions. Tonite my goal going in was to 235pk sabaki u out of ur punch strings to try and "intimidate" u away from u punches and into kicks that i could block and come out with greater frame advantages. My success on it was very sketchy though. The "fireball" sabaki, as i call it from it using ken/ryu street fighter two fireball motion, is just really flaky for me. It doesn't come out with any dominance and too often i find my opps punching thru my p sabaki!!!
I've been really working my throw evades, fuzzy, and eteg, yet, all ur throws catch me by surprise. A few times i gave garaunteed throw just to be stubborn and escape, but it still didn't work. lol. I need to go back to dojo and trim those up. I noticed ur only really sitting on 6 escape, but it's not much of a go to throw for lei, so i would say sit on 3 throw escape and watch ur success increase.
More so than anything u actually did during the match, move wise, i was most impressed with how u took ur lumps last night, put together some sort of plan and executed it today. That's adaptation that can be hard to bottle and keep, but nice job of it. I'm sure notice on here before when i said so-and-so was the only really good vane player i had played, well i have to definitely say ur a good vane player. Great fun matches.
SMB. the eternal grudge match. Ur pai yip k is stale and sucks. lol. Hate it. Yip. Yip. Yip. Oh well. But really we always have good games. For as much as i bitch about u, it's nice that i can pick up the phone and give u a ring and then play EVERY night against a solid opponent. Our lei battles are getting more and more interesting. Damn. When the hell am i gonna get to ur level.

Awesome to finally get some games in against you. More spods, haha, damn you akira's spodding me and 1 frame kneeing me all the time...what did i ever do to you!!!! No, but really it was a fun match up for sure. I hope i am not being pretentios in throwing out some advice here (maybe i've gotten swept up in the spirit of the last few pages )

My advice is this: Pay more attention to what works for both you and your opponent. You were flat killing me with that step back two hand gut collapse move, fuck, you hit me with it everytime you did it agianst all my set ups...i was confused how none of my moves seemed to work against it, but you only slapped it out a few rounds. Each round you tried it, you'd do it 3-4 times and kill me with it everytime. And then watch more what works for me (i know lei can be confusing) but i felt like i didn't have to adapt alot, b/c what worked teh first match worked the fifth match. Get ready with 46p+k everytime you see back turned stances, and 66kk works amazing against both doku and against doku's evade sweep. Just ask beligerent feck, he'll agree.

GGs: Social Ruin. Eternal grudge match...you said it. Good stuff, i feel stupid sometime playing you, getting caught in the same traps forever....need to take my own advice that i gave to feucha, offline is good and all, but i think i like playing you on better, 1st) don't have to listen to your stupid stick clacking like there's no tomorrow. 2) we've never played well in competitve vs environments. Great hanging out with you all week tho.
My first thot was, nooooo Don't play Mista Tee if he's learning lei from you, hahaha, then i thought, well, we play differently so get him all used to you lei and maybe mine will mix him up more. Hey Mista Tee, one point of advice from watching you play my bro two super long session, and me one pretty good one, with that side kick you always cancel, let it loose a little more. Especially in player. It would be worth even losing a round here in there (if its not working) in player sessions, b/c then the threat of it will be real. I've got to say, I just disregard you when you do it, b/c i know 90% of teh time you'll cancel at the lunge back, or on the jump forward. Other then that, just keeping getting back into the swing of her, and you'll be fine, lol.
JB, quit hating on the yip kick, learn to deal with it. Ask for some advice on here, b/c some people deal with it well. At the very least, occasionally bait me in for it and do a standing rising, just be careful not to let me hop over you.

Don't worry man, any advice is always welcome. It's not what you did it's what you didn't let me do, I didn't win a round till like the 3rd or 4th match lol /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif , nah man those were just some lucky desperate moves by me that just happend to land. You were messin me up with that 9K+G (I think that's what it is, that jumping touch your toes dbl kick move thing) on wake up. I was like "ok he's going for the throw next, boot to da head, ok he's gonna throw this time..boot to the head, repeat 2 more times, ok i'll block now" then I get thrown lol, I couldn't help but lol n shake my head at myself for seeming to make it so easy for you.

Yea Lei can be a lil conufusing sometimes cause ya never know what move/limb he's gonna throw out (for me neways) but at the same time it's so cool to see him wreck shop, it's like watching a movie sometimes, I have alot of fun VS a good Lei. I really like your agressive style too and not being afraid to throw some jabs out sometimes instead of trying to block or evade when we're in close quarters turning the tables forcing me to choose to block or evade. You were jackin me up with a bunch of stuff and i'm sure I didn't even see your full arsenal. So much more for me to say but i'll just leave it at that. Awesome to finally play ya and thanks again for the advice, i'll try to apply it next time and hopefully get ya to think twice before throwing a move out and make it more worth your while to play me, looking foward to try my luck against ya again.

That is scary, anyone as good as that regardless of their gender that doesn't have to practice much to beat great players consistently is a unique talent. It would be nice to see people like that more often.
