ggs nn8989. Did i seem reserved? lol, i was talking to my girl on the phone. In fairness though, i can't say it necesarrily hindered me, u did just as well vs me in ranked and i NEVER play anyone ranked above 5th dan while on the phone. I really was focusing on throw escape too. Sometimes, in player, i will try and look like i want to be thrown so i can try and escape. : ) Keep working on it buddy, u will get it. But to be fair, only certain opponents can u escape against, reallistically speaking. There are just people who you are going to TE or ETEG at all the wrong times and never the right, lol. You were playing good last night : ) Nice pressure

Took the time to look at some of my old matches on Replay just so I can see what kind of progress I've made since lord knows when. Being the novice I still am I almost didn't notice the little stuff I've added since I start playing online. Still got a long way to go though.

Yeah, people have come and gone since the beginning of VF5 Online, most likely to the prettier, flashier games of now. Beauty of this game is it's simple and hard at the same time.

Lastly, in the future when you guys fight me in Players and it takes me a bit before rematching it's probably cause I'm saving replays. That's IF. Usually I'll just go ahead and go another few rounds with ya. Later folks.

Great games to xxSetraxx great Akira I hope to see you again. Panther NeoGeo those reversals really got on my last nerve. I usually throw you out them but your use of throw escapes really saved you and if I had a dime for every close match when you had me 2 games to none and it was always close in the 5th round. I can tell right away you really improved since the last time great job. I was forcing myself to use more offensive tactics including my /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif setups but you screw all of them up too much with your autoreversal stance and normal reversals as well. We need to play again because I have to learn to play a better aggressive game while taking advantage of your vulnerability to certain attacks while you do your reversals. Most of your reversal failed for the most part hopefully I can take care of the many reversals that got through anyway. Great games anyway I need to see that aoi of your more often big time to get better against aois like yours. No aoi I played against since the last I fought you, played the way you do making you a unique player over see you later.

 

I will not have my XBOX360 for a little while. I've loaned it to Ladon. So if you guys see me on, that's Ladon, not me.
He's not really an online player as he hates lag but who knows, maybe he'll get used to lag faster than I did.
Lol, now that I think of it, it took me like a month to get used to online VF.

Anyway, DrFamilia is now Ladon. He's an online noob so plz be gentle with him, hahahaha.

I wanted to continue the session with you 'cause I knew things were going to get interesting. As much fun as it is switching to different characters I still want to at least try to improve Aoi while keeping my "foundation." My Aoi's probably still going to be plenty reversal-happy unless situations dictate otherwise. Best thing is to know your weaknesses and use them to your advantage

Apologies to Jorjo, my routine stuff wasn't coming out (I was like "huh?") When I input (insert Foot #A into someone's behind #B) I DON'T want (cram fist #C down someone's throat #D) coming out instead. I was dumbing down my moves to the ones that DID come out. I was shocked I got any wins on you at all. I think I mostly gave up doing anything complex when Yin-Yang wasn't coming out when I wanted it to.

Well, a huge thanks to Plague for devoting half of his evening to helping me out. I'm not only a VF5 n00b but apparently an XBox 360 n00b as well (just got it for Xmas), I couldn't even get the damn headset working.

Just what are you trying to say about the VF5 Community?

I just wanted to get this straight before i take it as a some kinda diss. Well Just to Set off a pre-emptive strike...Your not that Good...And you alone Ourweight all of the Dumbasses who play VF5 with Shitty connections and dance around after matches Like you really did something. Granted i don't Be on here as Much as i use to but you won't talk shit about this community while im here.

 

If you haven't noticed I wasn't alway doing 2P as much as you think I was early on my other highs and mids were being reversed including my 9K+G setups that happen to be my move set of choice in most cases. Most people I face don't counter my jabs very much even the good people because my usual setups make them hard to predict but ying yang stance stops my usual common high or mid setups damn it all. I will have to focus on the moves I know counter it that I don't use much next time like 4P or 4K+G.

Any way have you thought of using the up or down commands after ying yang stance if the enemy delays his attack because of the ying yang stance. The P linked after it crumples potential counter attackers or aoi can do throws after it if the enemy will block the 2P/ 8P and you know it. It might be an effective tool you can use since you like using that stance so much.

 

ggs to erdraug, lol, u showed up with ur brad all decked out in 'i beat quest mode' outfit, and i was expecting a full fledged sub. Really though, him and to a lesser extent ur lion showed u know how to play the game. Characters whose moves u obviously haven't mastered and they seemed to be a detriment to how well u know the system, yet u still get something out of them by playing the system, evades, throws etc even though u aren't 100% comfortable with them. Look forward to playing ur vane again. BTW next time we'll do goh vs ur brad or lion. Ur brad might be even, ur lion would roll up my goh, i suck with him. I've never used lau, but i'm guessing i'd be stronger with lau with 9p, ppp throw mix ups and 1kk than i am with a goh. Anyhow. ggs all the same.

 

Can't believe Jorio is not happy with the VF5 community! I used to play Jorio fair and square but he always seems to quit after he wins. He only rematch once he loses. He told me it was a pleasure to fight me because I never resort to spam 2P. No wonder people resort to 2P you to death, it's the only way to deal with your Jacky!

Jorio you are the last person that should complain about online behaviour, considering you set the bad example! How did you like when I stalked your ass and spammed DM P+K? I haven't seen you joyning my games after that! I gather you don't like it when people spam on you, but you do it ALL THE TIME!

Jorio maybe it's time to move on and learn some other characters dude!

Yeah GGS DaBadSeed thank you for sticking with me, I am trying to learn Lau and that was my first foray online.

 

Jorjo is a pretty tough player to beat. He's probably got one of the most machi styles of anyone here. He will 6P-> back dash, 6P-> back dash and it's so hard for me to counter. It's such a fast move that, with the back dash, I don't know what move to chase it with. He will back dash or slide shuffle after almost EVERY attack; if you whiff, you get thrown or worse.

He plays keep away with the circular mid and waits for you to walk into something. I tried EVERYTHING I could think of to adjust and beat that style of play with Goh and I COULD NOT beat it. <u>If all's fair in love and Virtua Fighter, then Jorgo is a great player.</u> If in fact it's some type of machi lag abuse, he's not. Is machi, backwalk Vanessa fair??? Regardless, he whooped my ass.

I would like him to switch characters so he can understand how annoying the "back-dash/slide shuffle" based play-style is. @Jorgo, try using Goh against a machi Jacky and see what happens...

However, Jorjo is the man because he rematched me as many times as I could stand being crushed, to help me try to decipher him and find answer. I never did find the answer but he kept letting me try, that's being a good sport and teacher; DaBadSeed does this too and it's awesome (it helps me learn more than winning).

Thank you to EVERYONE for putting up with my shittyness and helping me get back into the swing of things. I took 3-4 months off with no VF and it ruined my game. My Yomi is totally shot, my guesses are wrong 90% of the time and I'm losing 9-10 matches probably. Am I done forever??? Will ever be able to get any semblance of my old skills back??? I'm worried it won't happen.

Please keep putting up with me, I need it. I will lose almost every time until I learn how to guess again.
