Social ruin,

If you end up playing noobs 99% of the time you are online, why don't you play quest mode more, and arrange to play the pros every now and then? playing noobs online will not improve your game, that's for sure!

It leads to me spending many a night on vf5 where i don't lose 5 games in 3 hours and not because i'm elite, but because of the competition i can find. There is nobody i play consistently. If ur on here and think 'we play every once in a while', well yah, that's as good as it gets. So i feel like only get a rare chance to prove myself and actually try and test what i think i know and learn from the matches. If dabadseed and junosynth beat me senseless in consecutive nights and both use 2p and 2p throw more than i expected, i am going to take notice of it and discuss it as perhaps a more viable respected strategy. Mind u neither spammed them. They both used it as part of a well thought out, well executed offensive and defensive strategy, combined with other powerful defensive techniques, good offensive spacing, and excellent garaunteed punishment. I leave the fight taking all these things away from it and wanting to discuss it as viable options for my own improvement. The most of surprising to me was the effectiveness of a poke based (or at the time it seemed like a poke based) offense with a high premium of maintaining an advantage at almost all times. It was bizarre to be controlled that way. ANd frustrating as found myself running patterns that were becoming so painfully obvious that i was getting ate up, and everytime i would decide not to do them and then see just how strong my muscle memory has became playing the ocean of players who don't challenge me. 99% of whom have never typed in vfdc to this site, so please nobody take offense to this. I just want to play the best and get to a point where i can consistently take 1 out of 3, then 2/5, and maybe even and hopefully become the dominant player at some point. But that isn't going to happen against random 3rd dan #43592. So anything i've discussed about strategy recently was not meant to criticize or define any players, but merely to explore. Even if i felt dabadseed went 2p happy vs me (which i've already explained i don't think he did, i think he used it intelligently, effectively, and judiciously) you cant say using any tactic on a random day for a 1 hour set determines how someone plays the game.
So again. Thanks to the people who put up 7,8,9 game win streaks on me and show me how much untapped potential there still is for me to chase. And thinks to myself who has put me in a position where i no longer have elite players putting 15, 16, 20 game win streaks on me.
Thanks for taking the time to grind me into a better player. I only wish it happened more.

Nice to get in a bunch of games with you, HotD.

You can see what's going on better than I can. I experienced a bunch of "Oh shit! He knew what I was going to do!" moments - specifically when you used Jacky.

I bet if you focus on one character and throw escape consistently, I will have great difficulty when it comes to winning our fights.

LOL I was lucky with Jacky I think....once you warmed up, I was in a world of hurt!

LOL sometimes I feel like I've hit a plateau...training yourself ain't easy when you ain't really got no one to play who shares the same enthusiasm with you. As you can see, I'm still working on my iageri kick lol.

Yeah I'm horrible at doing throw escapes. I can do it pretty well offline but online is another story lol. I'm sure it just takes some time getting used to. The throw you were using, was it press DOWN P+G to escape? I was trying all types of throw escapes but couldn't figure it out lol. Also I kept falling for your 3 hit palm throw combination after getting hit with a shoulder ram! Darnit! I hate it when I do that.

Anyhow thanks for the compliments. I still need a lotta work to be at your level but I will get there someday hehe...I think lol.

Akira's throws that end in /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif are nasty too so if you can enter two TE's do those two.

I alway stress this to everybody because its the most important thing you will ever in VF5. The Drills are there and i'll leave it at that.

UKDiddy, yo that games was fun. Kage is such a monster though, I use him sometimes, but I stopped cause he took the fun out of matches when I use him. Fighting him though is a different story, when somebody be on some crazy flows like you were doing.

Good games to all the people I faced that helped me to get my lion some real world action. He is far better that I thought he would be compared to what he what in VF4 evo the last time I played him seriously. His new stances are really cool and I need to better time them.

Great games to Princessgame your pai got far better than the last time I faced you. I faced you with my pai the last time and it wasn't very close but if I faced you with my pai it would be very interesting. I did a very good job of adjusting to it though even through you started to get me at the end because of my inexperience with Lion and my inability to adjust fast enough but that will come in due time.

Slide- Man, you're sarah had me. You were straight spanking me at first and I was kinda worried that you'd quit on me, but I'm glad you stayed and played me for as long as you did. I know Kage is a pain, but Akira pains my hand so I generally just stick with him. Plus I just kinda like his setups and everything. But man...trying to find the time to break through your pokes was rough. And if I stood there and blocked while waiting for an opportunity..free throw. It was rough, but fun. After a while we were just going back and forth. But one thing I give you mad props for is your ability to throw escape. It didn't matter what throw I did, you got out of almost all of them. I was trying hard to mix it up to, but it didn't matter. Escape, escape, escape! I was like dang! But good games man.

Tony-I know we didn't get to play much and my connection wasn't the greatest, but I still enjoyed getting kicked upside my head for a few matches. We need to get some more games in while I have a little free time

Everyone else I played ggs. My memory isn't the greatest so sorry, but glad to get some games in with you guys.

If you want a decent pai match I am alway open for mirror matches. Aside from that vid you made I haven't seen your pai in actual gameplay. Anyway the person I was facing with my lion GT was princess game and whomever they are male or female I don't really care, they play an awesome pai chan doing all the basics of a great pai yip kick set ups, bounce combos, reversals, and advanced setups after 33P+G, 3P+G that leave you guessing the whole way etc. You would love to play against him. I want to see this person with my pai first through, I don't see very many good pais either.

ggs to seidon. You may believe your brad was scrubby but i didn't. If you would of done zero frame throws from brads stances. I would of been gritting my ass worked. Think about it my was ass was freezing up most of the time while you were dancing around. Over all i need to get stronger. I would love to play your main so i can get some training in. Also ggs to Zeextremkid. You Know akira is my sub. I really play lau. I don't think it would of mattered much since I'm weak against brad players. In any case you proved your point I got worked. GGS to every one I played lately.
