Good Games Thread

This was a day or two before but gg's to Junosynth's lei-fei which was really tricky as hell and UkDiddy's kage had 20 matches and Beligerent_Feck's Akira it wasn't the smoothest connection but I'm not complaining because it's a lot harder to play akira in lag then it is jeffry and he was awesome!

 

Yeah GGs Oldboy and Kamais_Ookin, if you both wanna get some games in just add me if you want to do some player matches. I don't get on much but if you message me when you see me on i'll be happy to play /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Trifling Fox: Heh, we were doing some mad taunting on each other, but I know it brought out the heat in me, so I appreciate it. And yes, I caught on real quick that I was going for throws a bit too much. And I don't TE and get punished horribly for it. I learned a few things from our matches, so thanks again.

Pleportamee- Good games with your lau and glad that you played a couple with me. If I were to say anything though, it would be just to watch out for getting repetitive. I knew after ppp, that either the low punch killer was coming or just kick from that jump kick and a throw. Other than that, very good games, and that jump kick to throw setup is actually pretty clever..especially since I fell for it quite a few times.

 

GGs to everyone I played today. I've ssen lots of new faces, a good sign for sure.

 

ggs to mista tee. Always nice to play u in long sets then brave the xbox typing adventure to talk about it. You are seriously getting ur strength back man. It's funny how we start off with a variety of offense but after an hour or so we are trying to kill each other by rotating 5 combos each lol. Not quite true, but close. Then we both all of a sudden break out new moves that don't work and go back to the bread and butter. It's good practice of knowing what to do, and focusing on when to do it. always ggs.

 

I had great games with heta akira, AkiraZero (Sorry Ro, IDK why we disconnected, but it was ok cuz I had to piss so bad!) Eubanks, and Mista Tee who played my Jeff for like two hours. There's some other dudes I had fun playing also, but can't remember the names.

That was fun! I am so confused when fighting Sarah. Flamingo is strange So I throw lots of p and 2p! Yay! Jeff is my number two, but I have so much fun playing him. I also think that playing him makes me better with my other people, cuz I gotta think about when I can stick that knee in and how to use delays throw setups better. Anyway those sara/jeff fights were awesome as far as seeing two totally different characters go at it.

My gripes about VF5 notwithstanding, VF on XBL is awesome and crazy addictive.

 

I second that. Once I start playing online, it's an endless series of, "just one more... last one... one more for real this time!" So hard to rip yourself away. I start withdrawing between fights, I have to be controlling Goh constantly. It's the most rewarding game I've played; I hope SFIV can even come close. If it even comes close it will be a great game. Online VF5 is king!

Even when I'm able to stop, I'm still reading and thinking about VF constantly.

NO! DS punch-punch-stance switch knee is -6 on block! In fact it's -2 on normal hit!! Only the switching high punches give advantage on block, not the switching mid knees, ffs. That would be completely broken indeed /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Note that both versions are +6 on CH though /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

AkiraZero ggs indeed, i think it was my xbox's fault, it wouldn't allow me to connect with anybody and then i had to reset it. I've also noticed that sometimes there are sudden halts in the music in the lobby menu sometimes - i fear a RROD is imminent /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Hmmm. I got those music halts right after NXE install. Only on VF (although I don't play other games online right now).

I used to go to bed at a decent time and everything before I started playing VF5 online. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif It's worse than HD Remix for me.

I have the exact same "one more..." moments too. I'm worried if I quit I'm gonna miss some amazing opponent. It's terrible!

Happy friend Gg's man. Very fun indeed. I am glad you are using Jeffry right now cause I really need practice vs him. He's Sarah's kryptonite. I am so scared to move vs him cause that damn knee owns her so well, and your timing was really good. But after a while the nerves went a way. that's when those matches really got interesting. it was like you would kill me in strait sets then it would be my turn. very intense. fuck I wish i saved at least a few matches. but we were so eager to get to the next match. addictive indeed!

Ladon, awesome to play ya man, sometimes it seemed like you barely try. Every time I get that feeling i'm thinking the person on the other end has someone else watching them playing n you're (in general) going "watch me stand here n just block n he'll still try to hit me, then after a lil bit ima throw him..see, everytime" lol. Had a blast man, you gotta get you an Xbox bro.
