GGs to everyone I played once again. It was stressful but exciting, my only regret is that I wish I had gotten to play more of you /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

 

I was just about to write you this morning then I saw your post. Thank you very much for the kind words. I pride myself on how I use him. I always feel like I'm trying to put on a show, and no one does that better than Shun. I feel like if I'm not amusing both myself and the opponent, then I'm not playing him the way he should be played.

The reason I was going to write you is because you are currently the only Lei online that I haven't found a solid way around. Don't get me wrong Cozby, Turpenoid, Linzhuomin, all you guys are great, but eventually I find a way through my opponents offense and strategy.

Your Lei makes me feel how I assume everyone else feels when they play Shun, but for some reason you get through most of my trickiness and seem to have no fear from my offense. Your flowcharts definitely find cracks in my offense and it happens so much that it makes me start doubting my game. I'm usually not surprised when certain moves break through my offense but you repeatedly find a way. Have you had a lot of experience against Shun, and if so, with who?

At your leisure we need to have a long player match session. I love when I'm up against a new and tough play style because it's the only way to make me learn new strategies which I may eventually incorporate into my everyday techniques against any and all characters. I guarantee by the end of the session I will have developed some good answers to some of your onslaught.

I land 669K+G every match, I also crash risers with 9K+G too, most notably after 3P+G. The move is super all purpose. I haven't been saving any matches though. I still highly recommend 669K+G though, you can land it all day anytime you are sure your opponent will evade.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to help me get to grips with this devilishly deep game. One year in and i would say i'm just now understanding the basics. A long way still to go until i can hold my i own with the big players (if ever)

Well actually erdraug, Slide accused me of using too much low punch. He kept on getting me with one of her throws I didn't know how to get out of and when he wasn't, he was in my face hitting me with a jab and then throwing lol. So to snuff out his offense, I would do low punch into shoulder or throw but unfortunately, my execution is shitty so even then I couldn't score any damage...plus his defense it sick. I was happy to win a few rounds though lol!

Well, Slide plays from OS it's either /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif, most probably the second one if you didn't know how to escape it (i've seen you escape my /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif ).

If you want to instantly duck throws without having him call you cheap, yes, there's always /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif which is only 14f but that's left better as a round ender cause it has lousy stats even on hit.

What i recommend is going for Akira's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif instead of just low punching. I think it's worthwhile to throw out the move from time to time, like you said, Slide has amazing defence but the timing on the move might throw his fuzzy guard off, allowing for the move to connect giving you decent advantage on normal hit. If it doesn't, well, it's safe on block anyway /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif From disadvantage, against somebody who does p flowcharts, against p > throw it will score you a CH foot crumple (and not a stagger like the shoulder ram will), and against p > mid sometimes the move magically goes under those mids with high hitboxes.

Damn Turpenoid, I had forgotten that you were a member here. I just want to say to everyone Ive been playing in ranked matches lately that regardless of rank, I look for the most challenging fight I can find. Sometimes I challenge you guys back to back to back. To me its exhiliarating to fight matches of that calibur. The worst fights for me are turtles, cause of my style. Its like playing chess against a manakin, I noticed Unico chasing me down last night trying to get a win and finnally giving up when he couldnt. Several people pulling on me and sending bad messages and I havent complained because Ive realized that its the thrill of the fight, the one on one of my knowledge vs yours, my memory vs yours and sheer will to win.

Most on here are well aware of this, but i think you have asked are we one in the same a few times. we are not. And i think you might have me confused with my bro, lol, i know i have seen him do rather well agianst you in player when i was visiting him in oklahoma. AS much as I love to have finally been given props by one of the superstars on here, i fear it has not been totally earned. (i will note that my bro and a play a suprisingly similiar yet slightly differents style, based on teh same strengths and weaknesses most likely, so its possible that our dopple ganger lei fei's both present some of the same hurdles).

good workin goh there, sound and should be upto speed if you'd settle on a mainsub, lol. i'm chill, but when you go nut and bolts pk pk pk pp pk pp, i usually reply likewsie, that and i have a birth defecdt where i don't like being jumped over after death......lol. but no worries.

GGs Blazhie it was fun adjusting overall. Brad and Lei-fei have a persistent problem with ppl that can make attacks whiff and snipe from distant.

 

GGs to Mista Tee: Damn that Sarah! Its like she can jab her way out of any disadvantage! I know thats not the case, but man, when she wants to get the damage in, she gets it! Fantastic pressure. I know how you feel about your /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif button not registering sometimes. My /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif button does the same thing, hence the odd times when I'll just stand up and take it in the face for free. Thats part of the reason I evade on wakeup so much.

GGs to TonyFamilia: Wow, brad's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is the most dangerous mid in the game (if it staggers you). Big ass combo every time. Remind me never to duck against you ever again ever ever. Sorry about not teching all the time, but my /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif button randomly fails to work. Then again, the times when my tech did work, I usually got punished hard for it. I guess it kinda worked out for me heh. I saw that I was making you block a lot, but thats mostly to stop brad from getting started, cause once he's started I'm just doomed to get head crumpled /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif And sick use of delay attacks to catch me on evade.

Yeah man matches were and always are a lot of fun... That Sarah you got there is on point. I was really impressed by the hit checking man. You always checked right on hit or guard. Best hit checking I have ever seen. Hopefully our connection continues to be like how it was that day.

GGS to Methylidine! Sarah ftw. That bitch is not easy to beat! She just can't be bottom tier... Online, she's at least mid-tier just cause of her speed (ability to abare) and she has some good evasiveness and range. The female characters in this game are much tougher for me than the men now.

GGS Kahn Rahn! Aoi is my number one enemy at this point, she's brutal. I can't stop her for some reason!?! But your Aoi is very strong so I don't feel too bad, great games again man!
