Thanks you SMB_is_Pai for the matches, although you were whooping my tail for most of the time you were there. I'd have stuck around a bit longer but I was kinda beat and I spent most of the time chatting with Rare if you were wondering...talking about the sorry current state of VF Ranked and the such. It might be me but it seems a lot of bums and first-timers have been coming in the Ranked section. Maybe I'm just being too harsh.

With pai try to be alot more aggressive and less passive. She has so many tools to back up your mistakes if they happen. To me she is the best mix of any character in the game. You have sabaki's,redirecting stagger inashi's/reversals/stances/knockdown reset moves/low throws/situational throws/feints. This girl has everything, but it's up to you to really make it work. I find more results in playing her rushdown and antagonizing my opponent to give me moves. The idea of looking for levels is correct of what you mentioned before, but it's only one aspect that's needs recycling. With your dedication I don't see it taking you very long to close the gaps in these small situations and seeing the grand picture. Keep it up! If your up for more games next time get a mic and we can swap infos, because I would love to learn from a dedicated pai player.

Great games all around. I have to admit between you and GFA VF(spelling?) I don't know who is the more obscure/creative vanessa on xbl. You present me with situations I have never seen before and out of the box. I sometimes scratch my head and keep reminding myself to save the matches, but always in fear you might leave, because it appears I left. Nonetheless, I am very grateful for your dedication and stamina to go long sessions with me. Thanks for helping me understand vanessa better.

Yea, ggs man, that was a heated ranked session.
To address this backwards, lets not hate on the first time users coming online, its awesome that so many people are still finding the game. who knows, they may be that person who is decent on quest and thinkds they are ready but thenfinds human comp is tougher. the scrubs, well they suck. lol. I don't mind the occasional free win, but srsly, these guys dumb down my play overall after a few hours of it....throw escapes...who needs them.

But back to our matches. fuck, i lost the only 2 important ones, when we wree equally ranked, and u got 10th, then i reel off some win streaks for tiny improvements me 9th u 10th, haha, i wanted to get that 10th and was gonna dominate you until i did, but n ooooooooooo you rallied back for some wins in a row and then some punk jumped in and stole you before i could rematch for the 11ty time. good stuff for sure, your aoi had me going with reversals and what not, for whatever reason when i use lei fei you can't catch me like that, but my pai was suspect, lol. At one point i thought about switching over to him to steal 10th, but was like, nahh, that wouldn't be right.

I gotta admit, you had me on tilt with that damn sweep kick, you were using it to the point of pissing me off, but last i checked my 2 guard still works so i have only myself ot be annoyed with. tho i did beat you a couple rounds with nohting but sweep just to be a punk!

thanks for helping me to salvage some latenight vf, and for giving me a chance to dust off the old piabot. She is on sebatical right now, but i'll still take her for a spin ever now and then (does that make her a spinner? ohhh, inappropriate).

Rare Entity, man, i was gettin mad at you too. (and by mad at you i mean mad at me) i was droppin games and it felt like you were just doing the same two dumb combos over and over, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif everyime i think i'm turning the corner i have a night where i just don't adjust and lose to the same shit over and over and over...its so frustrating. (this isn't a dig at you, there's no reason for you to do something different until what works stops working.) my only advice would be that you become very predictable with your evades. it turns into attack evade, move move, evade, move evade, i was able to get a couple thoughtless wins just attacking your evade pattern. other than that, ggs man, rank up to defender already so we can duke it out up there.

Heh, yeah...I was spamming the low sweep at some point, and after a while I was waiting for you when a 9th kyu Shun popped in. So after Aoi swept him under the rug I went back to waiting for ya man. Hey, just be glad you didn't have to deal with the folks I had to deal with in the BG's man.

I got an old DOA4 "sparring" partner who said she was planning on rolling with VF5 eventually. Can't wait, yo. I'll see if I can't teach her how to Smash.

 

GGs Rare Entity, you BEASTED on me last night. I hadn't been in rank since December and I hand't played you in like a month so the first fight we had I think I took you by surprise but when I rematched you... damn! And that one round, double damn! I saved it and I'm going to upload it prob this week.
Now that I got my 360 back and I got the diamond capture device Ima be putting up a lot of fights I have saved that I had put off doing cuz it used to be kind of a pain in the ass but now it's too easy so GGs to the Diamond cap device XD
During player matches plz be patient if I take a while to hit rematch, I'm saving the replay.

GGs Blahzie, it had been a while since we last played and in all honesty, I didn't appreciate your style as much as I do now. I knew you were good, experienced and unorthodox but now I appreciate your creative use of Brad's moves a lot more.
As my approach to the game keeps changing I start to see and realize more. Sometimes the problem is the way I look at the problem.
Was it you that came up with 2K+G (normal hit) -> DMP+K? I learned it from some other Brad players and I used it once or twice during our entire set to bail me out of trouble. It's nasty but effective /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif Seeing how many games you have leads me to believe that a lot of these Brad players online have copied things from you.

SMB - Sorry I couldnt make it more interesting, I too was a little disappointed with myself during those matches. There was definitely more I could have done but I just opted for what I thought was safe. I know I still have a lot to learn about evading properly so I'll keep in mind what you said. Thanks.

KingofCarnage - Glad to see you back on, and more Akira please! You owned me with him last time.

GGs to Yupa n Numbers. Yupa gave me alot of Sarah. Crazy ass pk's and flamingo mix-ups into zero frame throws. Bananas. I'm naturally a jumping fiend, and his use of Sarah's dash knee and OM is definitely favored by me.

Thanks Numbers for hosting us. Got rusty? Rusty my ass! I was kinda reluctant but about 7 hours into playing we had a fei v fei grudge match. I think I went out 23-30. His lei-fei is absolutely untouchable. He taught me alot of new Fei steps that'll make things whiff that you wouldn't think of. After they whiff you can easily punish too. It was funny cuz we were learning stuff as we were playing as if we never played before. Dang, makes me wanna start playing Fei full-time again...
