Dennis - If I were you I would get this fixed and when it comes back sell it to someone and just get a newer more updated one. Buy it from Bestbuy with the 2 year warranty($60 I think). Bestbuy's warranty is awesome, if it breaks down no questions asked just bring it back to the store and within 15 minutes your driving back home to play. No more having to send it to MS and then wait like 4-6 weeks to get it back. Also one of the cool thing about the warranty is you can renew it 30 days before it expires for another 2 years. I have been lucky with the 360, I bought a first generation one that lasted almost 2 years without a break down. Then I sold that and upgraded to an Elite which lasted about a little over 1 year before that broke done and each time it broke down I had another brand NEW one the next day courtesy of my 2 year bestbuy warranty. It really is worth it for such a shitty product. I think even LA Akira bought his from Bestbuy.

Oh just wanted to add that even though you are getting a new one don't worry about losing the stuff on your HDD. After they examine your system and decide to swap it they kindly remove your HDD and swap that too so you get to keep your original. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif hehe I just remember my warranty is expiring either next month or in April. Looks like I gotta get to bestbuy soon and renew that shit.

I have officially become tired of using Akira. I've been playing him since VF1, and have never bothered learning a different character. So it's time for a change and big Jeff's the man (for now).

I hope it's worth more than the warranties in this country.I bought an xbox before Christmas and took out an extended 3 year warranty.The fucker got RROD 3 weeks later.It turns out the warranty is only good for 1 repair then its cancelled!.(thank you GAME) watch the small print i guess.

Do yourself a favor and get the Hori Arcade Pro.EX!!! It is worth every penny. Mine just showed up yesterday with only $9.95 for 2-day shipping from Amazon. I can't tell all of you how good it is. The stick feels fricking perfect and has a great soft and quiet feel. The buttons are great as well.

I see so much negative feedback from the EX2, and I share in everyone's pain being on the 3rd one myself. Those things are junk.

Although it costs $129.95, you won't regret it!

Sorry to disappoint? I accept your apology, but your message really bothered me... I've nothing to prove to you - or anyone for that matter. If we were sitting side by side at a tourney believe me you'd have your hands full, but to judge me on some off beat player matches is just silly.

 

First of all, you jerky? when you on? I have been seeing you on vfdc for like 8-12 months now and not once encountered you online! I hate playing jacky, lol, but i'd definitely like to get some games in against you sometime soon.

Good games:

Mista Tee: I could see some fantastic stuff happening there. 1 or 2 flows were like!!? sweet. Other than that he still had that new charactar smell (or in this case old charactar who u stopped using for along time). I was going crazy on my attacks, really just playing to see where i could take down drink points. you know that halfway decent shun who puts gaining pnts above winning (this is a typecast shun user no one particular) well i was the anti him, i was putting reducing your points above winning. It was fun, never landed so many lousy 1 p+k s in my life.

Blackula: We pm'ed it out, lol. But just wanted to throw in the gg thread to give you some national attention. Nice Brad man. he's no joke, had some viscious set ups and either good reaction time to block some of those lows, or good yomi, either way it was skillful.

 

You aren't the first SMB I don't like jacky regardless of who plays him because of his auto punch catch that negates quick punches I know I landed before he had a chance to react to it time and time again. I will just keep my comments to myself about Jerky from now on if he agrees to play me again that is up to him though. Normally I don't say anything unless they are a noob.

GGs Panther, what can I say that you haven't already told me. You're right, it WAS spamming but fuck it, if I won't block low, keep hitting me with those sweeps, that will learn me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif You were mixing it up well once you hit on normal hit too, good stuff. It took me a while to warm up to that, the last few ranked we had you took them all so I really had to adjust.

And GGS to you too! The main reason I wanted to attack from small disadvantage was because I noticed you trying for poke-throw so often. Online I have a lot of trouble getting TE's to work, especially in those situations, so I've learned to try and jab my way out of it. I consider using a quick attack after small disadvantage just another defensive mix-up option. Basically, my playstyle is risky. I know it annoys a lot of people, but Van is the kind of character that I think can get away with it. I kinda had the feeling that if I were to block in minor disadvantage I was going to get poke-thrown, so I just tried to shut it down. I don't do that kind of stuff all the time, but against certain playstyles I find it effective. Spacing in DS is important because van only has 2 full circulars in DS, and the low one sucks. Shadow Slicer, however, is excellent but has such a long startup that I find it more effective from long range.

Good use of sarah's 9+p+g catch throw. I didn't realize it had that much range! And your use of jabs from flamingo was really keeping me off balance. Good fights overall.

Also GGs to CarolinaPanther. Man, some of that shit was just epic. Beating a flying drop kick with a flying drop kick lol. And I've never seen Wolf get foot crumpled while doing his JUMPING shoulder, but apparently el blaze's low dropkick can do it. I had a lot of fun, hope to play you again soon.

ggs to u coz. I was like whoa, when u actually invited me, and then very happy my stick would mind me. Sometimes the left and right just don't work, sometimes they do. So i was ready for a beatdown, and quick exit.

Well its more damaging than the usual 2kpp combo but it mainly works on lightweights and some middleweights. There is probley a more damaging combo than that but I haven't tried it out XP

Thank you. Spoken word--truth!!!!! Sometimes a persons "abare" is an excellent read and useful defensive option. I cant agree more with u white worm.

 

^ It's an option yeah but if it gets to the point where it becomes an habit then you should be eating crazy damage.
