Also thanks for kicking my ass I really needed that. for some reason I was feeling a little blah with sarah. like unmotivated. could be my over use of sarah lately or me feeling the restraint of pad, but about half way threw that long ass streak of yours I realized that I still want to play well. Like here is a guy that's really good trying to play me. why am I playing like this? wake up and fight!! I hope we play again soon. I feel revitalized. and thanks for the advise. Oh and the moves you were talking about is Fl k+g,k_8/2, first hit is full circle, second hit is special high +2 on block. and Fl 8/2p+k,(G) mid kick.

I think I sent the friend request. thanks for excepting lol. yeah lets play more. i am so shocked at how different all the akira players are. like I never see the same set up between the lot of you guys. so it always takes me a good 5 match beat down before I have acquired enough data to come up with a counter strike. I think I will work on increasing my speed at player traits.

I saw the real random name and i just assumed i had some green scrub showing up...not at all. Then we only played for what at least an hour. Lots of fun man. I know lei, and yet the same lei mix ups still give me trouble sometimes. I'd never seen you on before, how often are u online?

 

oh yeah, thanks for the games shinobi fist. Man your wolf was rusty, but i still liked some of the things you were doing. I wouldn't say they made it up to ggs, what with my out of practice lei vs even more out practice wolf : ) I noticed you use throw about the exact same way i do. U can build an offense around throw. Seriously, most people react/over react to a good throw game so much more quickly than they do to say, being hit by mids, or an opponents good defense. With the nuts and bolts u were putting out there, i have no doubt u got some strong lines coming.

 

I gotta ask at least for a further hint now because everything that could possibly improve my defense is well worth my overbearing insistence to bother you 24/7 . With Sabaki Throw Escapes for Goh I've been on this study road for a long while now. Please, Konjou: just any hint !

Really though, it's more a concept than an actual defensive technique. It just takes some of the basic defenses you already know and uses them in a way that requires less guessing.

As for Sabaki Throw Escapes with Goh, I don't use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif much at all(most people escape tsukami no matter what), but I think /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + Low Throw Escapes is much more important against characters with low throws. Alot of good players will try to low throw you out /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, since they will get annoyed with you instantly ducking their nitaku : P.

Ggs to KingofCarnage. I kinda dislike using Lei-Fei. It's kinda like being a stripper, it's entertaining but I feel like im degrading myself... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif I feel that I can't defend myself the way I'd like to. On the other hand with characters like Akira, Jacky, or Sarah, I never feel that I'm in a situation that I can't get myself out of. Too bad I can't use Akira that well though, I should hit the Dojo soon.

GGs to MrsRambo, whoever you are. I wanted to play against your Vanessa rather than your Sarah. Vanessa has a ton of delayable strings I'm still trying to figure out.

GGs to Social Ruin. I dont like talking srats too much, but you gotta work on that defense and your decision making overall. Auto-pilot is a no-no against decent players /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif You started off doing abare stuff, but once i started breaking you out of that and the auto, the walls fell down. You can tell when I'm playing responsively, cause I'll start only using a few moves. There's some stuff Lei-Fei can't wiggle himself out of, it was kinda unfair for you because I know fei so well. Fuzzying is a good technique and was where I started when I started figuring out was defense was outside of 2p. Don't be afraid to crouch guard. Even if you eat a mid floater, you won't be maxed. Plus you'll be saving yourself from a high throw.

When it comes to punishing as lei-fei, guarded sweeps give you a free /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif. Floaters like Sarah's Dragon Cannon can be punished with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif which can lead to all sorts of mix-ups.

I remember in a thread there was an argument on whether lei fei's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif was any good. It's does really good damage for a low on CH, but otherwise its not worth it. I was getting a free float from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif everytime because he's still considered standing after the second k is guarded (which is probably because in VF4 he would recover standing afterwards). I would like to mention that the kicks are delayable though.

You were annoying me when I was playing Akira with that Doku reversal. Im thinking im gonna elbow you cuz your gonna abare, but nope. HAHAHA! I see why Lei-Fei players are unfavored.

 

ggs to cozby. thanks for playing me so long. haha. sorry about the sarah games. Ur sarah did look good when sparring against her though. Is she better than your akira? I am assuming so. I do look forward to really playing your sarah. Don't call what i was doing auto-pilot, it's an insult to auto-pilot I do think you may have the best sarah i've played, but i can't say yet. But if i had to bet, i'd bet on yours. But tonight i was just in it for the akira.
Playing your akira was fun. I like akira's throw game.

BTW, anyone who says sarah is underpowered...use dragon cannon (33k right?) and then combo for 1/3 to 1/2 half damage. Use flamingo and sarah's host of k's that have circ props. Your welcome. Sarah is now one of the stronger characters.

 

I'm back online. But i'm still just using a slippery, rangy, stationary lei fei. What? I don't know. Lol @ your S-tier lau. S-tier subs is where it's at.

 

GGs to Truesonic. Your Shun is fun to play. He's wild. Im trying to figure out how you are collecting so many DPs, I'm escaping your throws but you still get them in masses.
GGs to Plague. That was a good session, it was lots of good practice for me. You kept slapping me out of bokutai as if you were forcing me to stand like a man and play moral! That was awesome.

 

it's not heavy lag but it's noticeable lag. many times I try to recover but it doesn't always read and i end up eating massive damage or I can't punish you for using 2p or keep advantage when I have Ch 2p or p. it always takes me a few matches to get adjusted but I do enjoy our matches. don't think anything of it. we don't live in a perfect world. Just keep playing. I am not saying it to make excuses. you beat me cause you beat me no other reason.

Cozby I love the "purple rain' lol

Social that move is only good on Lei when he is played to linear or she blocks your FC sweeps. its a big risk if she throws it out and they block it. she's -15 so do what Coz said and mix that up with throws. Also she only has two FC moves from Fl and two throws. Everything else only tracks to one side. mix up your evade. and yes she is underpowered. lol
