Well it looks like I'll have to look into this new rule of TE-ing I happened onto. Hopefully my old roommate will show up today like he promised to help me test it out. By the way just so every understands this is not some leet technique that will help you escape all throws or bring your TE escape ratio up to like 70-90%. It's more of just a smart way of TE-ing to save your ask in some odd situations. Until I can test it completely and make sure it's a valid technique I will not be discussing it. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, nor my own.

Good Games to Cozby - You took me to school again! I frekin love this game... no matter how hard I try to be pro I always have so much to learn. You've shown me some things I've never seen Pai do before.

GG's and Congrats to Jhow on Slayer. I was doing well it seems until I opened my mouth during our mic chat. I guess I shouldn't have mention how well low kick shuts Akira down and how well abare can work. I don't even know why I kept going, but I guess I didn't want to run out since you were so close to ranking. Shun is tough to beat... I don't know if it's cause of latency, but it's just so hard to punish him even at advantage. Well congrats and I hope you make it to Conqueror! 2 more to go!

 

ggs to konjou. Nice to finally play you. Your akira lives up to the hype, and i'm a little confused on how to defend vs his throws. i mean, he can literally combo you with throws. It is strange. Man, i am not even quite sure what u are doing it almost just seems like mid pause mid pause high pause low...etc. But obviously that is not all of it. It's funny, i always feel like certain high level opponents do certain things the "best" against me, and i thought u'd have to replace someone else in a category i already have in my mind, but nope. You get your own. You have the best, most intuitive use of delayed attacks i've seen. Simply fantastic.

 

Yeah great games bro... You had me figured out many times, but you kept going back to being passive and waiting to see what I would do. Take it from me, that's not always a good thing. If you add a little more offense to your style with some nice mix ups it would be pretty difficult to beat you. I think you should try playing with Turpenoid so you can see what I'm talking about. You guys have a very similar style, but Turpenoid seems to have that perfect balance of knowing when to lay back and when to mix it up with offense.

GGs to Dennis! Your Lion is crazy! He was tough for me to handle as Akira. I just have to trust my attacks and responses more and I'll be alright.

GGs to Matteo. Are you using Eileen now? Try to maximize the damage on some of those combos. GGs to Silent Nephilim. It's been awhile since I've played against a decent Aoi. A weakness of her's lies in that alot her mid-string enders are throw punishable. That 236p+k sabaki works wonders though /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

GGs to Happy Friend. Lots of good fights came out of our sets. Wall hit > hit throws are gangster.

GGs To Blackdragon. I wanna continue to work on that matchup.

 

GGs man. I had a really hard time trying to get past Akira's offense lol. I need to train up against him XP

 

GG's to Plague. We had some intense battles man, I wish I could of save more of are matches. Alot of 5rounds man. Fucking epic, I tell you. The most fun I had in a while playing VF. Next time, I'll use my Blaze. The last time I used him against you, I was using the 360 pad *Now, on to the frame data*

Thank you for taking the time to fight me. You have showed me things with Akira that I read about and heard of, but never actually seen myself. I finally saw how to deal with evade-happy opponents even without full circulars. Sorry if I played badly, but it was just good to see you dealing with stuff that I cannot deal with when I use Akira!

And GGS to marlyjay, thank you also for showing me those eileen combos, I need to get practicing those for some decent damage. Fun games overall, even if I was so tired!I'm an old man....

GGs to Konjou, Adam, and Denkai last night and in making it one of the most fun nights of VF I've had in a long time. All three of you kept joining and it was a blast. Denkai I'm sorry we couldn't play more but I bet Adam kept beating you to it.

Rodney - It started out like it always does - you pummeling me to death for 5 or more matches straight. Then somehow I manage to chip away at your stamina against Shun. I truly do feel your pain because I know Shun is a bitch. I hate playing against him myself. I never feel like I have an advantageous situation. Also don't beat yourself up about us talking on the mic. I already know low kicks punishes Akira bad. I still had fun and I know a beatdown from you is right around the corner. Thanks for the congratulations on Slayer. It does indeed feel good... finally!

Adam - It started out opposite to Konjou. I was winning left and right, at least 5 matches, and then you started to turn the tide. Thanks for the XBL message in saying my Shun is too good, but I admit I do still need more practice and especially with yomi and frame data. Ever since VF5 and online I just seemed to put those strategies to the wayside. It seems my style with Shun has become a non-defensive, abusive, abare old man! But for some reason it works well for me. I guess I figured out my own style and use it to my advantage.

Denkai - I wanted to play more. Let's do so soon!
