Good games to all the Japanese players who I've been fighting with for the past week or so. I started doing Quick Match instead of hosting all the time --and getting all the 10th kyus Leis, grrrr. A lot more fun and in the meantime I moved up to 9th dan. (Strangely, I have a lot more trouble playing the Americans).

I don't know if it's the late nights or the bullshit pulling accusations but I never get to fight anybody else from here anymore. Oh, well.

to those i have fought over the past couple of months:

i need a real critical evaluation of my style of play with jeffry. i really want to hone in on making more strats with him, as i definitely see him as my strongest character. i want to be a "konjou_akira" of jeffry before i go back to using lau seriously. so until that point comes, please give me both the good and the bad, and if requested i will do the same for your character so you to can reach that "konjou" level... thanks in advance!!!

to those i usually fight, i'll be on 2maro for some practice sessions... i might break out lau and wolf for fun...

 

Yo Cadorna, ive rarely played anyone either but thats the way its been since live went haywire.. Good games to KingofVF4, very nice Aoi. It looks like Flash and Konjou are avoiding me, hehe just Joking..

 

Likewise good games to all the Japanese players I've been playing. Some of them even message me, and we briefly chat back and forth (in Japanese). Sometimes I'll message them. Usually when they forfeit the match to me in the last round or something. I've noticed Japanese players will do this - just give up mid match, and it boggles my mind. One player, it even got to the point where we both had just one hit to win, then he backed away and jumped off a cliff. We spent the next hour debating philosophy differences between us on why we play: I was saying that learning to win even in those situations can help in tourney situations where you run into that. He was saying how those aren't fun for him, so he doesn't care to play. In the end, he was like he just wanted to beat people up (fairly decent ranked - 7th dan, so I thought he wanted to be good) and didn't care about that whole scene and practicing when playing on line, so I let him be.

 

Played a few good games with player called Howlcatz, one of few players this morning that didn't seem to be button mashing which was a refreshing change.

Hell, even simple OM was hit and miss versus anyone else without.

You can't say 'lag won't cost you a match'. In those cases, lag cost me some pretty damaging throws (or got me a smack in the jaw with a failed OM). Would've cut out the low health stalemates.

 

I'm originally a Lei-Fei player, but I've been picking up Goh for a while now. I randomly hooked up with a Goh player named Jinsai Toda last night. After he beat me, I messaged him "gg." He messaged me right back with, "wanna practice some nice Goh?" Hell yeah I did...

Anyway, we played about a dozen matches, and I barely squeaked away with one -- even then, I'm pretty sure he was just trying some fancy stuff and not really caring. The only improvement I made was that I started picking up a lot more rounds, and usually making him work quite a bit harder for his wins. So yeah, I could tell he had to be on VFDC, and apparently he is... somewhere, lol. Great matches.

Same to KingofCarnage. Remember playing II AxxesS II, dude? I'm pretty sure the same thing happened between us. You kicked my ass (sweet Akira, I believe it was), and I "gg'd" you. I know I'm still on up-and-coming status, so matches against me aren't always that interesting, but I'd like to get some more games in, if you're willing.

Konradinho - nice matches some were laggy though which normally is absolutely horrendous for Jeff but eh.

 

Yeah i have unplayable lags /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif maybe toomorrow i will be better, i had very bad day today.

AxxesS Im pretty shure youre on my buddy list. We can play whenever im on except when Im doing ranked. Ive been playing player match alot anyways.

I haven't played much this week and I came in and went straight online, I think that was a bad idea.

 

When its working properly I chop out of that for a mix-up but its obviously not to consistent but the point was to keep doing it to practice it. As for the mobile thing I realized half way through our session why I am staying close all the time I'm much more versatile at mid and long range compared to Jeffery. GG's
