and definitely GOOD GAMES to C1REX... i was missing throw breaks up until the final few matches... i was actually surprised that i was struggling on a mirror match, which i happen to do better with those in vf5 than any other fighting game... good spacing though, i ended up second guessing my range and started to whiff alot...

GG's to Blahzie Konjou and Action KungFu. I went to Ranked tonight finally and Powned every damn Lei Fei I could find. When do you realize that stupid shit isnt working, after 3 consecutive rounds of floating in the air from knees? Where are the good Fei's. I know Medion isnt going to be on for a while and havent seen Dre Fei. What up Jinxy?

GGS to frash the other day. I broke SOOO many giant swings that I was so proud of myself. Was able to apply a lot of good techniques, and by some miracle got a lot of wins. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

Also, ggs to Denkai for whooping my butt for the most part (SOOO many ringouts from that kage that I forced myself to get better at throw escaping), and still giving me so many matches to practice.

 

Yeah ggs, our sparring session helped me so much, Pai vs. Pai is the best warm-up. Afterwards I played better than ever and got promoted to 7th dan. Then I slept and now I can't play for shit (again) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

 

There seems to be such a HUGE variance in skill in the 6th-10th dan range. I have bounced back and forth between 8th and 7th dan so many times. Down to 6th dan, once after only not playing online for a week, then today, I went up to 9th dan. Tomorrow I'll play when all of the 7th dan Japanese are godlike, and I'll get dropped again.

That's what I love about online. =)

Kind of discourages me from ever making rooms except REALLY late at night. If you make rooms during day time, you get a bunch of boring kyuus and low dans from America. You play late at night, most low level Japanese will stay away from you, because they don't like fighting higher levels... unfortunately, most same level Japanese are a bit hesitant, because of experience with most Americans lagging, but you still get some who have either played you before and know you don't lag, or are adventurous. You play 2p side though, and it's match match match heaven of 6th-10th dan Japanese (around 12~1am or later PST).

Yo man, i KNOW it's not just me, but Sarah sometimes has to struggle soooo haaaaard. I don't think everyone has realized it yet, but all people have to do is crouch for a second and then either stand up and punish or simply just evade and punish as hard as you can just once. Where's old serpent toe(to discourage crouching) FL KK and old 3PK(*high) when you need that shit??? I hardly even played Evo but i realize how important just the properties of these 3 things were!

Yo Kaminari, you sent the invite last night when I was playing with NinjaCW. Hey man we've GOT to come up with something to save Sarah. I ended up running to use Kage yesterday!

Nice games JHow77. So many close matches, I think we ended up being tied by the end with exactly the same number of losses and wins. I just couldn't get your ranking bar down at all. lol. You would win and get mine down (up to 2 wins in a row), then I'd win and get it back up to make it even again, then we just repeated that pattern for like 10+ games. Good shit.

 

GGs to u 2! By the way how can I tell when it's Texas Lion or JunoSynth? Do you both play Lion? Are you both at the same level of skill?

I have to agree, they were fun matches weren't they - back and forth, back and forth. I think I may be down a game though. My meter is pretty low right now.

I like your constant in-your-face style. I think I mentioned to you once that I have a lot of experience against Lion because of my friend ETPharaoh. Your styles are very, very similar. Because of the constant barrage it makes it hard for Shun to go into his new stance cancels. I noticed that you even tried once for the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif after a certain move that I can't remember. I know that works against a lot of people since no one quick rolls after the hit. Damnit though I missed my chance for the back throw!! =)

Also GGs to Geewaiho! You are by far the best Pai player online that I've seen. How long have you been playing and have you always played Pai?

By the way has anyone seen the anomaly with the ranking system when out of nowhere it's a ranking match even though the meter is only half full? This happened with me and Geewaiho. I beat him the first game and the next game was a ranking match where I would get promoted. I was Hunter and Geewaiho was Warrior. Normally I should have had to beat him at least five more games. Needless to say I lost and then ended up promoting him to Veteran later on. Nice job!

This anomaly happened to me a couple months back with ETPharaoh. I had just moved up to 9th dan and then two matches later I went to 10th.

...still stuck at Hunter =/

 

wassup king??? i was tryin to get some matches in after battlin' c1rex, but i figured u were probably in some battles already... by the time i finished a couple matches i had to call it quits to watch some boondocks... i'll try to get some matches in 2nite though... lemme know wassup... peace!!!

 

GGs to HOWL, only had a few matches but he seemed like a decent Kage player and GGs to Ash Kaiser, you wolf is evil helped me get used to throw escapes a bit though. I think i'm going to be having nightmares about wall stagger> toekick> stunner now....

As usual GGs to ReasonableTrout and ZeroEx, Trout you gotta stop pawning me with them throws!

 

Yeah GGs Feck, our games went right down to the wire once again. Also GGs to Black Bauer who kindly belted the crap out of me earlier this morning.

 

My brother plays Lei Fei only. I sometimes will mix it up with Akira or maybe El Blaze but usually just Lion since he's my main. And yeah, he's pretty much exactly my skill level only with Lei Fei. For the longest time he was my only competition so we kind of learned from each other. I don't know if you've played him before though, but he doesn't play much anyway.

It really doesn't hit most people, but you never know. Got to mix things up sometimes. I'm still getting used to Shun. It took me a few matches to realize you were drinking everytime you did (I think) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif from far away. The move where he punches and drinks. I was like, oh shit, I'm letting him get free drinks. lol. I felt so stupid.

But I love playing you since I feel I learn a little more about Shun each time we play cause you mix things up so well. You don't play the same each match so I got to constantly look out for new stuff. We should player match next time so we can get in some solid game time against each other. Playing in rank, there's always someone joining my game between our matches and it messes up the flow.

Now that I think about it, do you know a SF player named Bmore Chun? He's a a3 and cvs2 player. What I'm saying though is that you remind me of him by the way you play VF. No flash, no big combos, nothing super technical, just pure instinct.

Shit is crazy man, it was like you just kept making the right choice every single time no matter what. I kept scratching my head like WTF how the hell did he figure that one out!? Damn.
