Good Games Thread

Yeah. That setup killed some 9,10th dans two days ago. I thougth it is something but it doesn't work on other players. Maybe not rubish but nothing special.

I take practicing a new characker under consideration.

 

Yeah gg. and about the xbl message, nah I wasn't sandbagging or anything the thing is that I felt it was a lil bit off when we played this time, and alot of the stuff I attempted to do came out a lil bit too late and I kept getting hit out of every move I was attempting to do in the situations because of that. I remember one time I buffered a dash in, before I woke Sarah up but decided to hold guard instead when she got up but she ended up dashing forward and got thrown anyway =\. It just felt like I was playing with weights on.

Your Jeffry was fine though, the only thing I saw was that you didn't hitcheck moves and you went right into the endings whether I blocked them or not, but it's my fault for being really too slow or something on capitalizing today.

 

Very GG to Sweep VFDC. I was totally destroyed. I won 2 fights out of 20.

This motivates me to practice so badly that i cannot stop finking about VF5.

I hate being noob in any fighting game.

gg's to DubC who came out fighting like a tiger roaring and scratching. It took me a couple of matches to tame the cat, but once I did, it was time to hypnotize that beast with a little Konjou magic. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I was aiming for that 20 streak, but failed at 8 then failed again at 16. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif God damn counter hit double palm for the upset. All in all, they were really, really good games. I'm sure there will be more to come soon.

Sucks I couldn't stay and get more matches out of it, but you heard that baby screaming. I still don't know which of us has the better Vanessa, you've gotten a lot better since we started.

 

Hey, let's not forget I had some streaks of my own! I think I topped out at 6 though. That FOURTEEN streak was a glitch man... I was getting really confused by how well you were guessing, and combined with the fact that it was really freakin hot in my room to the point where I was sweating, it was getting to my head, and I wasn't even executing basic stuff. Then I went to go open that window, and after I got some of that ice cold air running on me it woke me up, and things started clearing up. Then I was able to win the next match (and the final 3 for the closer). =)

Nah I don't really know what would have been different if I had opened the window sooner (for some reason, I always get really hot like I'm working out when I play a fighting game... been this way for years). Good games all around though! It was frustrating though at the beginning when you were trying to be cute with that dp spam thing. At -5, my 14 frame elbow can usually punish it easily offline, and a lot online, even versus some Japanese, but I guess the lag was preventing this. After losing to it for a few matches, I had to get smart and smack myself for even PLAYING that up close game and letting you do that. Once I started the proper spacing, I got you to completely abandon the LP gimmick. =) I know what you were trying to do though. You were trying to bait dbl plm so you could get the free damage. Thank God there are so many ways to play VF effectively for various situations. Spacing won that battle out. GGs once again.

(heh, all in all though you truly amaze me as a player. Your guessing abilities, the variance/timing of the techniques you use, execution - that evade dash thing was really messing with me lol - and your application of Akira. I feel I know Akira, and with his moveset, yomi becomes the biggest factor - truly outthinking and outplaying your opponent. You have that in spades. I look forward to more matches, and hopefully some of that rubs off on me. =))

 

Thought I'd separate this out for JHow77. I only played you for like 7 or so matches, but those were some of the most fun matches I've played LOL! Being able to get in my attacks, and then run away from the Shun mixup to plot the next thing. I figure - If I can stop Shun from drinking early and take a round or so GREAT. If not, I NEED to learn how to fight all of his tools at at least +10 drinks. It kept going down to the last round, and somehow you kept stealing a lot of them! It was so fun though! Think I only managed 2, but they felt like such a triumph! Best one was that time that I had a pixel, but you had a smaller pixel, and you were across the map screwing around as it counted down.... 3... 2... I was trying to hold on to that slight victory, as you ran in, but I was crouching, hoping to bait you to a low since you might think I'd stand when you ran in, but you hit the mid just as it got down to 1. LOL. Good stuff (you thief )!

Those were REALLY fun weren't they?!! There were some awesome things going on in some of the matches. I'm trying to remember one instance where I think I was lying down and a move went over my head. That sounds dull but whatever happened was bizarre.

KimiOyaji - GGS man, I saw you were getting frustrated and that is why i kept winning. I am starting to use alot of brads moveset and tools that I didn't use before like Frame advantage hit throws sway. (and everything he does out of slipping is safe BTW and stuff, but still ggs man.

Dai Bison, got a pretty good vanessa. Not as evil as his Akira but definitely decent.

kingofvf4, I remembered when you used to beast me in ranking matches everytime lol. I do a lot better now /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Your Aoi is still definitely above my scrubby Akira but they were pretty close matches.

I almost died on a heart attack.

It was a tournament fight. First to 5.
I was loosing like 1-4. 0-2 in rounds.

I made a big come back and cach up to 4-4. 2-2 in rounds.
I won the final round.

Wow. Amazing fight.
I'm too tired to play any more today.

PKGMLC? Which character did he use when you played him? I gave him a good whooping earlier for a few rounds, then he pulled out Wolf for one match... lost by a fraction to his wolf /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
