Good Games Thread

My point is not everyone in Japan is the "typical nice guy"... I feel that is a common misconception. I know you've been there a lot yourself, more than me, but it is a forum, and typically things in the sig are just for fun. It's just my personal feeling, but I think you took it a "bit" far. It also seems unfair to him, by trying to put him in the "Japanese box", when it really is a common thing to see in the name of fun, both in Japan and here (possibly it is just his limitations with English that made it sound a little more awkward, but that is understandable).

 

The problem is not switching stances, because Nelson constantly switches stances. He switches so much he often forgets where he is and accidentally does something unexpected. For example, I think it was his first match against flash and he did a combo that leaves you in OS nd then he tried to use a DS move and instead this move /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif came out, luckily it went up and over either flash's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and K.O'ed him. He started laughing and was like "shit I forgot what stance I was in, but i'll take it."

Your exactly right about seeing through the weakness of that style and it's pretty much what I said in my previous post. Everyone is so focused on using her walk back speed to just poke, but what can they possible do after the person can read there movements. They are pretty much screwed because they didn't take the time out to develop anything else outside of this tactic.

Anyways I will ask him if he will consider doing a write based on the little he has played on LIVE. I highly doubt he will accept, but Nelson is known to surprise people from time to time, even me!

Also gg to Blahzie. Fun Brad to play against. You evade too much though, it's something I take advantage of when we play.

LOL, well I'm not good enough to put that on my sig, and he knows me. If I was some unknown that came and put it up, and was backing it up, I'm sure I'd get a lot of Akira challenge matches, which I believe is what tatsuki was looking for. As long as I did it in good humor and wasn't making ranting posts about it elsewhere. I think "most" people would take it more as a challenge than pride. But then again, some people here are a bit sensitive compared to other FGC boards I've seen stuff like that on. Also his wording, as I said, was just REALLY awkward lol (no offense of course - he was trying).
