Seeing the popularity of other fighting games as Street fighter 4, VF5R would really get welcomed in europe. I have played VF since the first iteration and I have always loved the depth of this game.

Hello! First let me say that I am a professional rookie. Despite the fact that I have played VF since VF3 on dreamcast. My favorite character has and will forever be Wolf. Ive been watching VF5R videos of Wolf on youtube and I would REALLY would like to test my skills (If I have any)on VF5R. The game looks simply amazing! It would be nice to play instead of watching. So please make it happen! The name is Blunt From Tacoma Washington.

VFer since VF4. More seriously since VF5.
VF5 Online is my favorite game this gen. I remember how I was spending every evening playing it with friends or online. But it's a shame to consider that I don't play it anymore. All because of lack of support from SEGA. I was waiting and waiting for VF5r console release but at some point I lost all hope and switched to another fighting game.
I can't believe this game was so popular, a WCG discipline and then BAM. VF5r arcade release and .... nothing for consoles. now we got slowly dying community.

Some of my friends sold pre-owned VF5 and even console (bought it only for VF5).
VF5R would be a nice reason to return into this beautiful game and play together again.

I don't know what to add. Everybody wants it.

I first played VF2 in an arcade when I was a child. While my mind wasn't developed for such a game, it was like nothing I ever played before and it was a unique experience for me. Years later, I would try out VF4, then VF4 Evo, and I was really impressed with how much effort was put into them.

Now that I'm older and trying to get into fighting games more seriously, Virtua Fighter 5 R would be a no-brainer for me to try and learn if it hits consoles.

Fighting games are doing great now, and this one shouldn't be left out of the crowd.

I started playing Virtua Fighter at the 4th installment. I love the series and purchased EVO and 5 ver. C for the 360 and want more. Unable to play the 5R version, I had to settle with watching youtube videos since it's release. Every single watched video leaves my wanting of 5R stronger than before. Please Sega, only good can become of releasing a console version.

    To whom it may conscern,

Virtua Fighter 5 on Xbox 360 Online reminded me of how fun and addictive online competition can be. As a longtime Sega fighting game fan, VF is the single best fighting game out in my opinion. I'd be insulted if all of the hours we've collectively invested mastering VF5 didn't warrant a console/US release of VF5R. So in short, release it, or possibly lose a customer forever.

Re: Kamaage: VF5R - MY PETITION RESPONSE..!!!!!

'Virtua Fighter 5R' deserves to be released on the powerful PS3 and 360 console..

Sega needs to realize the incredible strength of it's fan base in regards to all Virtua Fighter series..

Having broken phenomenal ground with VF5R it has simply hurled the community into a greater universe..

Players spend much quality time practicing Virtua Fighter to build their ability to compete in national and local tournaments(both are respectively important to our community); this has only proved Sega is an indestructible
production company that knows it's fans hearts 'very' well..

Sega only need to follow through with their loyalty and logical expectations from their fans to keep it's own strength prevalent in the hardcore gaming world as it has always done.

Given the fact that more than most VF players have invested in high grade arcade sticks to experience the product they know is of deeper quality.(I myself have invested in an
official VF5 arcade stick for PS3 and never saw myself doing so as i previously never saw the point, but the price is well worth the high level of gameplay that i can see i can experience given practice with a stick controller; The Virtua Fighter tournaments and videos opened my eyes the sophistication of the game..)

This game is not simply something we buy and put on the shelf...it becomes permanently attached to the console disc slot(we PLAY it constantly)!! Not to mention the(much enjoyed)hours needed to become a competent player..

With all due respect, i wish for SEGA to release this logical port without the anxiety of rumourism..

Sega has no idea just how much of the gaming communities
strength it holds with the release of VF5R on PS3/360..

Please SEGA Enterprises..we are humbly awaiting the release of this product..

    Kind Regards..

I have been playing Virtua Fighter series since 1997. I think that's when it was. I had a sega genesis, Playstation, N64, PS2, Wii & Now PS3. I really enjoyed Virtua fighter & Other fighting games like Mortal kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul calibur, & King of fighters. I want this game to be released internationally in arcades & home consoles because we can bring in lots of new players and interest in the fighting game scene and SEGA products as well. You guys should release a demo first & make sure you add a Story mode, Online mode & a tag battle mode. add more new characters. Are you guys ever going to make a Virtua Fighter Vs. Tekken? That's al folks.

I started playing Virtua Fighter properly with VF4, I dabbled casually in VF2/VF3 but only started taking it seriously with VF4. We unfortunately did not have access to an arcade so console ports were our only way to enjoy the game. We would hold sessions at peoples houses for training and heated matches, loving the characters and especially the games engine. Please bring it to console, it's heart wrenching knowing I may never get to try Goh's new wall throws on friends.

OSU!, I frst began playing Virtua Fighter back in 2002 with Virtua Fighter 4 on the Play Station 2. I was 12 at the time, too young to appreciate the balance and the intricacies, of the VF system. It really wasn't I picked up VF5 on the 360 back in Nov 2007, that I began to really appreciate and admire what makes VF 'VF'. During 2008 I cannot recall how many hours were spent in practise mode, trying to familairise myself with every charater, the emotions ivested in the many 2 player showdowns with friends and the glee found in the customize mode. On my ipod, I carry the VF 5&4 albums, in class I find myself drawing variations of Ninjas, Monks, Karateka, Judoka and every other martial artist!
My own interest in the martial arts was piqued by Virtua Fighter, and have since gone on to study 3 forms of Martial Art. With my intrest in martial art, I further began to appreciate VF more, due to the authentic replications of the martial arts, particularly Lei Fei, Goh, Lion, Brad and Jacky. As a budding Karateka, I am clamouring to use and master Jean Kugo!, I can also take credit for introducing Virtua Fighter to all my friends, leading to at least 4 more purchases of VF5!
With that said VF5 R was released in Japan in Summer 2008, and near 2 years later ther is only so much more VF5 one can squeeze the life from, WE NEED VF5!, Tekken 6 cannot compete with VF5, Street Fighter 4 was a letdown, MK VS DC was poor, DOA has yet to release a sequeal and Soul Calibur 4 was a failure on many levels, VF5R can save the console Beat em up! As a fan for nearly 10 years, I can only ask:
PLEASE RELEASE VF5R ON CONSOLE PORTS!!
Thank you for taking the time to read this

Been playing the VF series since VF2. Back in 93, 94 IIRC we had a Tilt in the Crossroads mall that had a VF2 cabinet. I was a kid back then but i would take the bus to the mall across the city to play it with the other people who would go on a regular basis.

It was about 15 people total who played and i ended up playing the series after VF2 upto VF5. I hope you bring VF5R to console (with online) because the fighting game genre is back, and the appetite for VF is there.

Thanks for listening to worlds VF community Sega...

    Dear SEGA.

My name is Henrik Vicente J.M
I have followed the Virtua Fighter series closely since the end of the vf evo era. And it really was my way into competative fightinggames and the community/scene here in Norway. And to this day its my fave fighter because of its deep gameplay that anyone else has yet to even come close to.

Virtua Fighter 5 was announced at a arcadeshow in Japan, and it blew my mind upon watching the trailer.
The graphics looked like no other, the gameplay features and the list goes on.This resulted me carefully observing the game from afar through various sites on the internet.
Countless matchvids, only to catch a glimpse of a new move, situation or stage.

When it was finally announced as a launchtitle for ps3 it was the sole reason for buying one.
and I can clearly remember the day I could take my ps3 home to play Virtua Fighter 5
with the two Virtua High grade sticks that I had ordered from japan.

Many matches later the game were to reappear on xbox,
and I bought it on day one with a new hori stick.
Online working much better than anticipated, It was alot of fun fighting and meeting people from around the world online.

Through Virtua Fighter Ive not only learned alot about myself but about other people, It really is more than a "game".
I have also been so lucky to have played Virtua Fighter 5 in its homeland, Japan.VF and the culture surrounding it was an essential part of the trip.

When VF5R was announced I once again was exicited and again watched every video of the game. Time went by and roumers about it not coming to console. All we could do was wait and hope, though the future seemed grim and it really looked like this would be another Final Tuned.I was very glad to see people organizing this and fighting for VFs release.

I must to say im really impressed by the community and how dedicated they are.
and I really think SEGA should take notice.

I'm also one of the creators of norways biggest fightingsite and community: round1ko. And I would back a new VF5R a long way. Giving it alot of promo and hype.I'm sure alot of people will do the same job of promoting their favourite game to other people,
so this document is really a testament to that this series deserves to continue its life on consoles.

Please bring Virtua FIghter 5 R

Best Regards, Henrik Vicente J.M, Norway

Virtua fighter fan since Virtua Fighter 1.

When VF first came out, I was in awe at the way the characters moved, I was impressed, then when VF2 came out, I was blown away and hooked for life. I drove EVERYONE I knew to our local arcades to check it out, I showed off this game to them like I was the creator of it. When I first saw the animation for Shun Di I was mesmerized, as VF1 impressed me, VF2 hooked me for life. and as you may have surmised, I am a Shun Di enthusiast. other games have come out to ape what VF has done, but none come close to being what VF is to me, the top of the line, champagne of fighting games. I bought an xbox 360 JUST for this game. I fully support a release of VF5 R and pledge that I will purchase it. With the death of the classic arcade throughout north america console releases are the only way we get to play these great games, that is why VF5 R needs to be released here. how else would we get to experience the work your people have put into such a fantastic franchise.

VF needs sega to rally behind it, you've made a masterpiece with this series, don't let it fall. push it out there. I know not all gamers take to it but that's what makes it so amazing, it's fine art, those who love it seek it out and support it, and we do our best to bring it to the attention of the masses. thank you.

I created a facebook page to promote the effort

    Hi,

I've been playing Virtua Fighter since VF2 on the Sega Saturn and have been dedicated ever since. No other fighting game has come close to being on par with Virtua Fighter. Being able to only watch these amazing matches and customizations from VF5R on YouTube has been torture.

To see this game make it's way to consoles worldwide and actually play it would be a dream to many dedicated Virtua Fighter fans as well as a benefit to the fighting game genre/community. Thanks =)

I have recently joined virtuafighter.com in order to add to this 500 page document that VFDC is trying to go for. I have been a virtua fighter player ever since the first game came out until the present with virtua fighter 5. Out of all the fighting games that I have played and still continue to play, (such as Street Fighter IV, Blazblue, Tekken 6, KOF XII) Virtua Fighter 5 still blows all those games out of the water as a fighting game. The game is technically incomparable to the other fighters that are currently out in the market right now. If SEGA really puts the effort as it has in Japan to the West Coast, I believe that the release of the game on console will be a great success. The game has not been really exposed in the West market especially considering that the first release of the game did not have an online component on the Playstation 3 (which is the console I currently play Virtua Fighter 5 on). From the game not having online compatability, I was unable to be exposed to other players out there that are Virtua Fighter fans. It is really nice to see that Virtua Fighter dot com is doing a great deal to keep this game alive.

My brother had recently gone to Japan and said that VF5R is one of the most played fighters in the arcades. He also said that the game was amazing with its new balancing and tweaks in the characters moves. I got really jealous that my brother got a chance to play, and I have been waiting ever since for this game to come out on console (especially on the Playstation 3). SEGA really needs to bring this game onto console considering there is such a large populace of Virtua Fighter players around the world waiting for a chance to master this new game.

I would also like to thank virtuafighter.com for making players around the world aware of the situation and actually making an effort to make this happen.
