Kamaage: VF5R for console effort

Dear SEGA, i'm waiting now two years for VF5R, in this time I spend the most of my time in other Beat 'em Ups like Tekken 6 and Street Fighter IV. But now I don't wanna wait anymore, I don't wanna play Tekken 6 and Street Fighter IV anymore.. so please SEGA bring us VF5FS to consoles!!!!

Dear SEGA,

I'm a Virtua Fighter player that continues to play VF(5) despite the lack of the latest version. I must say the player base has somewhat diminished since it's release in 2007. With the release of VF5:R (or by the looks it now, VF5:FS) hopefully I will find myself more competition to further my game.

I bought a $600 PS3 just to play VF5. No arcades in my state. Please bring the new game to consoles so that may make the sweet love to it. Most of the forums will probably pre-order it.

Listen, whether or not Sega decides to port Final Showdown or R, I'll still play Virtua Fighter 5. Although I owned it on Xbox 360, I'll go out and buy the PS3 version. Why? Cause eBay Gamestop, EBgames, and Amazon.com don't carry it any more. Why will I play it? Cause Virtua Fighter's fun. I like the characters, the fighting styles, the depth. I like the old-school background music. I like the graphics. And I like the Bryants. Oh yeah, and I like El Blaze too. Hot dog!

But if you do port Final Showdown or R before I purchase my PS3 copy of VF5, then rest assured Sega, you got one guaranteed sale from a repeat customer.

SEGA, I know you've heard it before, but please, please let your fans play the definitive version of VF5. I'm still playing Version C. and I have been a VF fan since VF2 and I will remain loyal because VF is the best fighting game franchise out there. There are countless fans of VF, and not just the ones who've posted here who would eagerly, GLADLY pay for a copy of a console port. Please do not turn your backs on your fans. VF deserves better than that, and so do we.

I've PS3(60gb) original SKU. I rent game VF5 is very good but not have online. I'm very disappointed that game.

I've old game VF4 on my PlayStation 2. I love it game. : )

I want Virtua Fighter 5 final Showdown in my PS3 and in Xbox of my friends now SEGA! make this true.

 

On 360, I know of seven people people who will buy an upgraded Virtua Fighter 5 without question. That's not a small percentage - of the people I know, only four bought Modern Warfare 2.

Simply put, VF5 is still the most balanced and enjoyable fighter online. Problem is, it's not shiny and new any more, so competition for it on Live has declined.

Basically, I'd love to see Final Showdown on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Since I've little interest in SSF4 it would give me a current fighter to enjoy.

Please release VF5r of Final showdown on console. Virtua fighter is easily my favorite fighting game. I have been playing since the beginning (VF1) and have bought virtually every version you've released.

VF has many loyal fans (myself included) who are willing to buy a new version of the best fighter ever made.

PS;
If a new version is made it would be great if it included the trainning system of vf4 and evo, that allowed you to preview every move in the game. As it makes it easier to learn the timing for some moves.
Also the ability to view replays frame by frame would be great to have again.

I am posting this because I want to help with the release of this game. My personal experiences with this series have always been great ones. I've been playing this since I was probably ten and picked up Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution. When I started playing it I couldn't help think "this is the best game ever." Then one day, I looked online and saw Virtua Fighter 5 R. I knew that there was a new best game out there. This is the best of Virtua Fighter out there. Not to mention, I've played Tekken 6. Not so great. I still think Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution is better than that. Good things from what I can see are: The new combos, new stages, new outfits, and the awesome new characters. And that's just to name a few. I'm sure there are a lot better menus and interfaces. Not only that but this game is very aesthetically pleasing. So, Sega, please ship this game to the US because my Xbox 360 and me really want it.

I've been playing VF since I was 12 years old. Its without a doubt my favorite game series ever. It pains me to think that SEGA would not release this game. I would surely pay $100 for it. In fact, I've bought import systems just to play the series early throughout its console releases.

VF is truly one of SEGAs greatest series, and it still has a big following. Please, please bring VF5R to consoles.

I started playing Virtual Fighter in 1993 in the Houston arcades. As the years went by, I see it to be a better fighting game in comparison. Even though I see that this is a petition for VF5R, I would like to see VFFS for consoles. I'm sure that everyone would love that, wouldn't you, Sega? Thank you for reading this.

I have been a fan since the begining. I saw the previews of the first Virtua Figther in a game magazine and I fell in love with game and been in love with it ever since. I own most of the console iterations of Virtua Fighter. I anxiously awaiting the next one so I battle it out with other long time fans like myself and new fans as well.

When it comes to Virtua Fighter I am never disappointed and the games never cease to amaze me. It's a guaranteed buy for me. Please give me the oppurtinity to enjoy a new Virtua Fighter again.

I got introduced to the Virtua Fighter Series when as a teenager I was given the PC version of Virtua Fighter 2 by my brother. I instantly fell in love with how the game performed, and was sold as a fan. It led to me getting the Virtua Fighter 3tb game for the Dreamcast later on, and again I was blown away by the way the game performed, how balanced and deep the game engine was, and the multiple minor details into the game in order to make it the game it was.

Later on, I also got Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution for the Playstation 2, and I was amazed at the care and detail put into the game, not only for the game engine itself, but the numerous tutorials and detailed practice mode. I thought at that time that Sega truly cared for its fans.

Fast forward to today, and I, like many virtua fighter fans, know how great the latest revision of Virtua Fighter 5 R is (as well as an upcoming Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown). The game is eons ahead of the original Virtua Fighter 5, and has an entirely different feel than it; it is by all accounts a much better game. I, like many others, truly want to be able to play this game; many of us have seen youtube videos of the game in action, and it truly looks like a polished work of art. But as long as Sega continues to not release this game onto console, there will be many people in the western world which can't play this game, and many others will get the perception that Sega as a company does not truly care about its fans. To sport the best fighting game when put up against others like Tekken, Street Fighter, and Blazblue, but not make it accessible to as many fans and potential would-be fans would be such a grave mistake.

But I know you can help make things right; please listen to your fans, Sega, and please release the latest version of Virtua Fighter 5 (Final Showdown) onto consoles.

I started playing Virtua Fighter since Virtua Fighter 5 and enjoyed it very much. Although sometimes it is really hard to pull off some moves due to very strict timing and quick window of execution, I am still very impressed with the fighting system and the incredible graphics Virtua Fighter has to offer.

Please SEGA, bring the latest version of Virtua Fighter to consoles especially on XBOX 360. I will be one of the people who will pre-order a copy before release date. Thank you very much!!
