I see alot of Goh online. None are really good. Just try to F, F +K you till you die. And ground-throw.

 

that kick is so hard to stop using.

I know! When I went online as 10th Kyu just after picking up Goh, all I did was:

They, like me, were noobs.. who couldn't tech-roll. So... this killed alot of people. Or just random /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif after every knockdown.


It took me a LOONG time (and I still do it, when pressured) to STAND UP and fight. I come from 2d fighters, and crouch-blocking is usually the best option. So here, I eat alot of mids.

hahha i hear you man i use that kick as much as I can when i see the opening. The thing is it shouldnt work neway they can block that so easily but they dont so it makes the move so addicting to use haha. I have found that ive been abusing the 6k alot into into the charged 4p+k move thing too.

I think Goh isn't popular anymore because people started playing matches with him and realized how hard it can be to learn him. I'm having a LOT of trouble with it. He may not be a hard character in terms of execution but he's definitely hard to win matches with, seems like your knowledge of the game has to be two steps ahead of the opponent to start owning with him. I've seen quite a few players on XBL that played goh from the start and just aren't using him anymore.

Oh and while I'm here, can anyone give a few quick hints on how to deal with people playing keep away? Especially Jacky. The only conclusion I've come to is that I need to improve my knowledge of the other characters strings and get good at blocking them, so I can just dash in and block them. That and stop using /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif all day. You guys aren't kidding about it being a hard habit to break.

Goh is enjoyable not because of strikes but his deflects and counter hits that shift into throws. Goh was the first character I used in VF4 Evo I enjoyed his lacked sportmanship and had brutal attacks.

What is a good follow up to the roll? The roll seems easy to be crushed.

yeah it does get crushed at times when i roll and it gets hit when they do the low and mid hits. Usually tho i roll when i know they will freeze up. my follow ups usually are the throws.
